When it is unusually cold, the heater fails to heat the hybrid battery sufficiently to register the correct voltage. This causes the car to enter “turtle” mode- a special mode that limits the car to 30 mph. It’s designed to allow the driver to get to a dealership. When we were driving at highway speeds about 70mph, during a particularly cold day, the turtle mode dropped us suddenly to 30 mph. This nearly caused an accident as we almost lost control of the vehicle on ice and snow. It was so sudden we had to swerve into the side of shoulder.

I was renting this vehicle. On my way home on the highway, going about 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly illuminated the check engine light. Soon after, an message appeared on the dash warning me that I needed to stop and that the vehicle would shut off soon. I immediately pulled over and turned at the next county road. However, I did not realize until this point that my engine power was now being limited to almost nothing. As I crossed a railroad crossing and realized I didn't have engine power, I just hoped that I'd be able to cross and not end up dead on the tracks. Thankfully there was still enough engine power being made available to me to cross the tracks safely and park further down the road. I then turned off the vehicle, called the rental emergency hotline, and was actually able to sta

12/07/2024 ODI #11629401.0

While driving on a busy freeway, a warning light appeared: "Stop safely vehicle will soon shut down" Loss of power in such a situation is dangerous. This happened on three separate occasions during the same trip yesterday. It happened once about a month ago and when we brought it to the dealer, they said it was some sort of computer glitch. On each occasion, after pulling off the road and shutting the car off, we were able to restart and drive normally -- until it happened again. We are taking it to the dealer today. Needless to say, we will not drive the vehicle until this is fixed, because we could be placed in an even more dangerous situation.

When I was on highway, the dash suddenly displayed a notification that asks me to pull over safely because the vehicle would shutdown soon. I had to follow the instruction to pull over on the side of the highway before the vehicle lost propulsion.

This car has lost power train at highway speeds several times almost casing accidents in major interstates intersections with no left shoulder. Chrysler has more than reasonably failed to repair this car transmission 9 times. This car has been in repair for 7 months in 2023 waiting for a new transmission. It has now spent more than 30 accumulative days just this year, and it is now at the dealership having its transmission replaced for the second time. I am submitting the second transmission replacement notice as evidence and first repair order as evidence. I have been able to avoid collision but have had to many close calls to the point that I feel unsafe driving this car and my wife won't drive this car anymore.

This vehicle is 2 years old. It died while I was away from home. It was diagnosed as needing two new batteries. This is the 3rd Chrysler vehicle that I have had to replace batteries in. One vehicle required two battery replacements. This is an ongoing issue, it has to be a known issue. There needs to be some accountability with Chrysler

Fuel line leak near engine. It sounds very similiar to the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Recall. The vehicle reaked of gasoline fumes coming in through the vents. Our mechanic replaced the fuel line, said it had a hole. We felt very unsafe even starting the car when it reaked of gas due to risk of fire. No warnings lights or anything, just the smell to tip us off. No one else has inspected the car since we didn't have anything catastrophic happen.

Driving down the highway at 80 mph, the engine suddenly quit. The check engine light and battery light illuminated after the engine had quit. I was able to coast to the shoulder. Once stopped the ignition could not be turned off to try to restart the van. It would only move from Run to ACC. After sitting without touching anything for 4-5 minutes, the Ignition indicator moved to Off and then was able to be restarted. This is the third occurrence, the first happening while stopped at a red light and the second in a parking lot when shifting from reverse to drive. The dealer agreed to pick up the van from my work and drive it to their service center. The van quit on that driver once on the return trip. The van had just been in service for 36 days and was returned as operational with no def

22' Pacifica has advanced front brake assist . It does not work. I have tried and it only sets off a audible warning noise and dash says BRAKE. NO braking assist like it was stated it would have. I took it back to dealership 3 times now and have been told every time it has no codes. This safety braking does not work. The settings are all on . But there is no assist braking at all.
