The automatic high beam system is very erratic. It fluctuates between high and low beam randomly on rural roads when it should be in steady high beam. It also randomly changes to high beam when oncoming vehicles are approaching causing the other driver to be blinded and flash their high beams. Vehicle has been in for service twice and the service center says the system is functioning as designed. I have a 30 minute video available which shows the erratic function as well as the high beam at oncoming traffic if needed. It is more than 3 GB large and exceeds your file limitations.. This is an ongoing problem that occurs whenever the automatic high beam function is activated. I only turn it on to get video documentation of the problem.

The Automatic High Beams do not always turn off when an oncoming vehicle approaches. There seems to be an issue with the way the system operates in general. They do turn on when expected. They stay on when they should be off. They shut off when they should be on. Dealer states that they do not detect any fault codes in the system and can not troubleshoot any further. Dealer loaned me a 2020 CRV that performed as expected under the same driving conditions. There seems to be a lot of complaints on the internet over the past couple of years. Surprised that Honda has not fixed this safety issue. Thanks!

Auto high beams redesigned from g2 to g3 models (mine is a 2022).. They do not work correctly. I know Honda had them working on my 2017 ridegeline, but engineering changes have made they inoperative. There is a multitude of complaints by almost every owner as there were none shipped that worked as designed. Honda support simply ask the owner to adjust the light sensitivity setting (low, med,high) but that is not the issue. While adjusting sensitivity may control the point at which the lights sense the brightness of on coming traffic, is does nothing to fix the problems.. 1.) problem Honda changes from 30MPH min spped to turn on automatically to 45 MPH. Useless at 45 MPH turn on, to many back roads where you need them are under 45 mhp. 2.) high beams go off when they sense the oncomin

Automatic high beams on this vehicle are unreliable and constantly flash oncoming traffic. High beams will turn on and off in succession multiple times. The system is unusable and potentially dangerous for oncoming traffic.

The automatic high beams randomly come on when cars are approaching and or cars are in front which has resulted in a few very upset drivers in the vehicles that end up getting the high beams in their eyes or rear view mirror.

When I activate the auto high beam feature on my Ridgeline, it does not ever work properly. The high beams will go off almost immediately once a road sign reflects on the sensor. This feature is totally unreliable and is actually a safety hazard because of how often it deactivates when on the roadway even though there is no traffic coming in either direction. It rarely reactivates when traveling on the highway.

Was stopped at a traffic light and idle-stop had engaged. Released brake and vehicle failed to restart. Multiple attempts to restart before it actually started. Many dash indicators were lit, but I was too frantic to notice which. Was in heavy traffic and it was very unsettling. Only time this has happened, but I feel like it will repeat. Have not been to dealer, but I will.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Ridgeline. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V321000 (Back Oven Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. I took my vehicle to the Honda dealership to have a safety recall repaired. Following the repair, the alarm started intermittently going off. Before the repair, the vehicle was running well. I did not know what the alarm sounded like before the recall repair. After they checked the vehicle, I was hit with a $1500 repair bill to replace the Keyless Control Unit. This part is what is causing the issue. Now I am left with no recourse. I called Honda corporate, and they told me that they couldn't help me. I am very disappointed because I am a long-time Honda owner and apprantly the quality is not there anymore.

With the forward collision warning system active, there are frequent false positives - warning sound, shaking of steering wheel when no collision is imminent, startling the driver potentially causing an accident.

This vehicle randoml activates the forward collision warning braking system. Cannot deactivate. ACC will not follow vehicle in front at selected distance. The Honda will accelerate at high speed until right on bumper of vehicle in front and then slam on brake. It will then drift back quite a ways and then repeat. Extremely dangerous to us Honda dealer acknowledges issue and say there is no fix for these. Auto Hi beams are a joke. Random on/off. Again a dangerous feature to try to use. These are not one time events as portrayed in Additional Details section

2022 Ridgeline is only a few months old. After driving one day for ~100 miles on interstate, then exiting interstate to get on on-ramp going in other direction, the vehicle suddenly displayed a flashing "check engine" light, has noticeably reduced power, and an odd-sounding engine. I was able to slowly drive to a nearby gas station where I restarted the vehicle and the symptoms went away. I had my local Honda dealer look at the vehicle and they were unable to find any error codes. Their response was essentially "no code, no problem" and advised me to drive it until something goes wrong again, and shows something they will diagnose. This vehicle has less than 8,000 total miles and has had its initial service done by Honda dealer, as well as another bill of health when I just took it i

Driving on interstate in 10 degree F weather. Exited interstate on exit ramp. Stopped at end of ramp. Light turned green so I accelerated and the check-engine-light began flashing, engine shook a little bit, and I could no longer drive over 30mph. Multiple people behind me honking, flashing lights, etc to try and make me go faster when I couldn't. When stopped at a red light and idle engine auto-stop engaged the vehicle displayed battery warning light and a “Shift to Park” message on display. Vehicle had to be shifted into park and restarted manually before it could move. Your Questions: 1. Battery/Auto-stop-start system. Sure, you can inspect it. 2. Vehicle was non-responsive and immobile at a busy intersection. 3. 2022 Ridgeline's Auto Idle Engine Off/On activated while driving/moving. This week it occurred (Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024) on I95 in Virginia when going down hill at approximately 70 mph. The engine ceased without warning and the steering and brake pedal began to freeze up when I had eased off the gas to coast briefly down hill (in order to keep in the flow of traffic). I then gave it gas, pumping the pedal, and a couple of seconds later it recovered and started up; the Truck’s starter buzzed loudly as it restarted. I avoided an accident in traffic by not panicking and luckily because the vehicle behind us was not tailgating and that the section of highway was straight and not on a bend - otherwise it could have been catastrophic. Vehicle automatically slams on brakes, shakes steering wheel out of hands, and won't take throttle causing me to loose control of the vehicle frequently. I does it at 75 mph with no other cars within 10 miles or at 50 mph. All with no other cars within miles. My family will not ride in vehicle cause scared because of un safe technology. I do not feel safe driving this Honda vehicle with this bad technology.
