I am reporting a safety-related defect involving the vehicle’s infotainment and forward safety systems. When this occurs, the vehicle also shows a “Check Forward Safety System” warning message. Diagnostic trouble code C162078 is triggered, indicating a front radar out of alignment. As a result, critical safety features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control, and other radar-based driver assistance systems are disabled. This issue creates a significant safety risk because the driver is not alerted to potential forward collisions and cannot rely on active safety systems. The blank infotainment screen also prevents access to vehicle settings, warnings, and camera functions. In South Korea, this same defect has resulted in an official recall and free front radar re

On six seperate occasions since I purchased new my traction control light flashed and the vehicle jerked and would lose power. It would then gain and lose power again. Four of these occurances happened in the last few months. It would not subside until I stopped the car. I took the car to the dealer three times and they said they could not duplicate the problem. They also said there were no codes in the car system history that showed any problems. I contacted Hyundai USA for advice. They said to bring it into the dealer and ask them to inspect the car again. That was visit number 3 and the results were the same. The person from Hundai said she would let her supervisor know of my concern for the vehicle safety but I never heard back.

I was driving on the highway three days ago, and the forward safety went off. It was raining heavily, this happened to me once before and as soon as the rain cleared, it went away. This time it has not gone away. The safety remains disabled. I am unable to locate the sensors to see if maybe there’s mud or some thing blocking it.

The back up camera has stopped working. If you read google, yelp, and other forums, a lot of back up cameras have stopped working as early as 24k miles. My vehicle is 2 years old and back up camera has died. I drive a lot of miles for work but cameras do not use mileage. The is a safety hazard as we had a 7 year old killed from a vehicle with no back up camera years ago. I do not agree with having to pay $1000.00 to have this item replaced. Hyundai also did not give me a proper diagnosis. Just need to relace the camera for $980.00 in a link that was a text message.

While traveling on a bridge with a very steep incline, the forward safety system light came on, which disabled the cruise control. We could not resolve the warning light issue, despite taking it thru a car wash, hoping that the sensor was just dirty. The warning light remained on for several days, then went away. One month later, on a sunny, dry day, the light returned. I made an appt at the local dealership, where the car was purchased and they told me that the front sensor was out of alignment and I most likely hit something, which I did not. $370 for the alignment and since they assumed I hit something, it voided the warranty.

Automatic emergency braking appears to be getting falsely triggered. This happens when I am pulling out of parking spaces, even with nothing besides or behind me. This also happens when cars in lanes beside me pass me.

At the beginning of December 2022 (a year after I purchased my brand new vehicle), two of the ignition coils misfired. I was driving down the highway and suddenly my car lost power and then cut off. I was able to start it again, but it would not drive faster than 25mph and would randomly lose power again. On December 7th, 2022 I took it to Hyundai and they were able to replace the two coil packs under the warranty. However, they didn't change the spark plugs (unbeknownst to me), a few months later I decided to change my spark plugs (which had to be purchased directly from Hyundai for $120), all of my spark plugs were completely burnt and looked terrible. There was a caution signal on my dash board and after running an OBD code scanner, one of the error codes that were triggered were "P030

My check engine light came on before the car reached 700 miles on it. The car acts like it does not want to accelerate, but the RPMS go up- I have cruised at 60mph (and at 35) and tried to move over to a different lane to avoid upcoming vehicles and the car won’t accelerate. Merging onto the freeway, again I’m gaining speed, and then the car quits accelerating. I have had the accelerator all the way down to the floor and still no power. Periodically the check engine light will shut off. I have had the check engine looked at with the reader and the code that comes on is P2261 Turbo/super charge

12/09/2025 Crash ODI #11703870.0

My vehicle experienced a sudden and complete brake assist failure, including the emergency brake. I was unable to stop the vehicle, which directly resulted in a collision. Prior to the crash, the car showed no warning lights. After the accident, I had the vehicle inspected at the Hyundai dealership. The dealership stated they could not reproduce the failure and “found no issues,” which contradicts the symptoms. Since the crash, I discovered two Hyundai Technical Service Bulletins that directly match the failure I experienced: TSB 23-01-036H-1 (Relates to HECU/Electronic Parking Brake failure) TSB addressing DTC C1620 (Relates to FCA Sensor/Automatic Braking malfunction) These TSBs relate to brake assist malfunction, emergency brake concerns, and similar stopping failures. While driving highway speeds (65mph-75mph) the emergency braking system randomly activated causing my car to slow to almost a halt and swerve itself in the middle of the highway almost causing multiple accidents. It has happened 2-3 times over the past 2-3 months. Brought to a dealer and it could not be "duplicated" so I was sent on my way worried about this car.

I didn't know the horn wasn't working. I was driving and a vehicle almost backed into me on the drivers door. I couldn't warn them that I was behind them I was fortunate to move before they backed into me. I haven't taken the car to the dealer. I searched on the internet to see if this was an isolated incident and I found hundreds of incidents of people reporting faulty horns on Hyundai vehicles. This should be a safety and a recall issue/

The alert went away soon after but then reappeared on August 27th, 2023 the error appeared again. Specifically error code C162078. I wasn't able to get the issue repaired until November 2023, which is also where they replaced my faulty backup camera.
