The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while idle at a stop light the auto start/stop feature activated however when attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle then went into lockdown mode where all systems were deactivated. The police were contacted and assisted in merging the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was placed in the park while they waited for the tow truck to arrive. When the tow truck arrived the vehicle was not able to be placed back into neutral to move onto the flatbed. The tow truck was able to tow the vehicle onto the flatbed despite the rear wheels being locked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but had not been diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
The odometer cluster light is too dim and I can't see it during the daytime
The only way to adjust the advanced driver assistance systems (ADSA) in my 2022 compass is VIA a defective radio that continually resets as per Mopar Case number [XXX] from August 2023. according to the bulletin this was supposed to have been fixed via a software update in the 4th quarter of 2023. repeated calls to the mopar wave 800-334-9200 only to be disconnected as soon as i give them the case number 4 times today. The infotainment systems volume fades to the point where nothing can be heard. This impacts: radio, but also Android Auto/Apple Car play for audio alerts, jeep assistance and hands free call functionality. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they confirmed Jeep knows about the issue and it will require a software update - TBD. Meanwhile, my new vehicle is useless for any kind of audio functionality. This is a distraction while driving and poses safety concerns.
The ABS wont go off it constantly stays on I put a brand new battery in it went out about a week later had to jump start it...When it rains or snow it is like my wipers and headlights goes crazy and sometimes my backup camera is all blue for no reason...I feel like there is something major wrong in the wiring somewhere
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my 2022 Jeep Compass. I purchased my Jeep Feb 2023. In May 2024 my issues started and have not stopped or been able to be diagnosed by 2 different dealers after 4 times of them having my car. My check engine light started and then the non stop issues with the center screen and dashboard flashing on and off. The screens change showing all errors and warnings.c The radio shuts off whenever it wants. Now the car shuts off when it wants. First time I was at a stop sign, it turned off and would not go back on for almost 2 minutes. The 2nd time I was yielding and it shut down. I had to put the car in park and hit the ignition button a few times before it started. On 1 visit I was told that the mechanic did a computer update but I ha
I was on the entrance ramp for the freeway and the gas pedal disengaged. I could not accelerate and my car slowed down. A message on the display said to service electronic throttle. This has happened to me twice. My car is barely six months old. I was going 40 mph at the time. Today, I was getting into my car after picking up lunch and as I sat down, the alarm went off for close to 4 minutes. I unlocked and locked the key fob, I started the car and turned it off, and repeated everything about twenty times. I'm in a very public place sitting inside of a car whose alarm won't shut off...anyone could've called the police on me. Someone probably did. The alarm is supposed to shut off at 90 seconds, why didn't it? Why have an alarm that won't disengage? When I press the button to disable the

The vehicle kept telling me that stop start is unavailable service stop start then there would be a battery on the left side on dashboard showing. Then it would say stop safety vehicle will shut off soon. Called both dealerships by my house to see if I can get the vehicle serviced one of the advisers told me the vehicle would not shut down that it would be okay to drive out of town. Brought my jeep into another dealership and their adviser told me the same thing. Last night 12/25 I was able to pull my car into a neighborhood before my vehicle completely shutdown I had it towed to my house.
There is a known issue with multiple 2022 Jeep Compass trims and models that, after long periods of driving (about an hour), the volume for all components utilizing sound becomes barely audible even at max volume. This affects all warning systems including blind spot, lane departure, etc. Upon turning off the vehicle for long periods of time (a few hours) the volume will return, but the issue will occur again if driving for an hour plus with short stops. Jeep has acknowledged the concern for over a year on Jeep forums and dealers are not helpful regarding the issue. Jeep states there will be an update to the UConnect system controlling audio functions in Q4 2022. But Jeep has yet to release an update with 2 weeks left to go in the year despite knowing of the issue since end of 2021. I have
The start/stop has been an ongoing issue for awhile now. It's been to the dealer multiple times for this issue. The vehicle will sometimes just stop while moving or will not start at a light. Each time requires the vehicle being placed in park, turning off the vehicle, restarting the vehicle, and releasing the parking brake and finally shifting into gear. This is dangerous to have this happening in traffic. Jeep seems to not care about these concerns.
I found a bolt head and a washer laying on my garage floor. After looking under the vehicle, it broke off from where the right side front cross member mounts to the bracket that attaches to the vehicle body. I took the vehicle to the dealer, they said the bolt was on back order and had no time frame when it would be available. They said that the vehicle was safe to drive because there were five other bolts holding it to the body. The dealer kept the bolt head and washer.
Does not correct car from departing lane. Also intermittently turns automatic braking of. Intermittently brakes when no hazard. Loses sound for radio and gps on long trips.
My 2022 Jeep Compass has been experiencing engine stalling/shutting off and problems with surging or jerking and cutting off. Surging forward when coming off the brake. Engine shutting down while stopped or at low speeds, at stop signs, or traffic lights. Jerking sensation, when slowing down or accelerating at low speeds. Me and my passengers have been at risk on several occasions of being rear ended or other collisions. I have ask the dealers (Sons Chrysler Jeep) service department to look at this issue on several occasions but they have said they cannot find any issues. My vehicle is currently at the dealer for this issue as it stopped 3 times in the past 2 days.

Good evening, My name is [XXX] , I live in Boca Raton, FL, USA, and own a new car: Jeep 2022 Compass Lattitude VIN [XXX] . I report a serious safety hazard that can cause a crash injury or death that needs to be investigated and corrected. On Thursday, November 9 2023 I picked up my car from Arrigo Chrysler Jeep Autodealer located at 2250 FL-7, Margate, FL 33063 where my car was present for 13 (thirteen) days for the following service: a replacement of lost/stolen car keys. On the way from the Autodealer, my car started to push forward and back on the road when I pressed the acceleration pedal. The following signs immediately switched on: "Service Transmission", "Stop/Start System", "Tire pressure". I was able to immediately drive back to the Arrigo Chrysler Jeep Auto dealer. When I

I am having a persistent issue with this vehicle involving the lane keep assist and pedestrian collision sensor. This issue has been present since purchasing the vehicle in December of 2021. I have had it in to two separate dealers a total of 6 times with no solution yet. The issue occurs when traveling down the road above 35 with the active lane assist enabled. Intermittently the vehicle will act as if there is a significant steering misalignment and the vehicle will attempt to pull you out of your lane into other lanes and you have to fight the steering assist in order to not depart your lane. Some times with the issue the car will throw a code stating "Active Lane Management (ALM) Unavailable Service Required" and turn the ALM off. The dash light will stay illuminated until the next key
