My vehicle came with 4X4 gear box shift on the floor. I could not get it to move into neutral or 4 low gear. I hardly drove in so it was no big deal so one day I pulled up the boot around the shift and there was a screw blocking the forward movement. It was the same screw that mount the plastic around the shift, after removing it I was able to get all the gears. The danger in that screw could have put me at risk by locking me into a gear and only staying there. The only reason I discovered this was I changed out my vinyl for carpet.

The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 22V835000 (Power Train) and 23V060000 (Electrical System) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The transmission spontaneously slipped out of park and went into reverse. My safety was close to critically impacted. When it began to roll on its own, I was scooped by the driver door and dragged several yards until the truck impacted another vehicle and came to a stop. I very likely could have been killed. If anyone had been behind the truck they likely could have been killed. The incident resulted in significant damage to my vehicle and the vehicle that it ran into. I have not driven the truck since the incident to reproduce. Police did come out to inspect the accident. Has not gone to dealer yet. There were no warning light, buzzers, etc. completely spontaneous. Note: the vehicle was running when this happened. When I was able to get back in truck the stalk was still in park p
I was traveling in my new 3 month old 3500 Ram with, at the time of failure, 3000 miles on the odometer. Starting from a standstill on level ground. I lost all forward momentum. I lost forward gears 1-4 due to what is now known as the K1 clutch snap ring failure. I was traveling cross country and had to leave my truck at a dealership over 1000 miles from home. ruined vacation and had to catch a flight back home . It took 6 months to get my truck back.
Driving vehicle and lost power went into limp mode had no gears forward Truck would not go over 1500 rpm Check engine light came on Kept saying 4 wheel drive not available but was in 2 wheel drive Hear clunk when shifting but no gears respond! Occurred when driving definitely a safety issue
-What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? A: Transmission -How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? A: I was never contacted by RAM regarding the possibility of a catastrophic power loss c/o transmission failure for my RAM truck. While driving E/B on Interstate 15 in the # 2 lane at highway speeds and going up a grade, the vehicle suffered complete forward momentum loss and only engine revving was occurring, while losing forward momentum & speed. I had to negotiate several, extremely busy/heavy traffic tractor-trailer filled traffic lanes to make it to the emergency shoulder of the roadway before losing all forward momentum and miraculously did not have a collision with high-speed heavy traffic. -Has the probl

The vehicle had been parked in the street for several hours. I started the vehicle in order to back it into my driveway for the night and then turned it off (total run time for the operation was most likely under a minute from the time the engine was started until it was shut down). The temperature was relatively cool and I did have to wait for the grid heater to cycle before the engine started. I did not notice any signs, warnings, safety indicators, or dash lights to alert me to any possible problems. Upon exiting the truck I detected a very faint and quickly disipating odor of hot electrical components, similar to a fourescent light ballast that has gone bad. I looked around but didn't see anything. I began retrieving some tools from the rear passenger side of the truck and smelled

On 9 September, while driving, I got an emergency dashboard notice that stated Throttle System Malfunction contact dealer. It went out and then another immediately flashed that stated Exhaust System Malfunction contact dealer. The vehicle lost power within seconds after the second notice. I coasted to a stop on the side of the road. Once stopped, smoke quickly started coming out of the engine compartment and then flames. I contacted 911, an engine arrived but the truck was fully engaged and completely burnt.

Intermittent abs and traction control alarm. Very random and can come on without notice. Similar issue to the recall issued in September for the 1500 ram.
Started getting an alarm for abs and traction control alarm with 15000 miles, it would come and go every few thousand miles. Truck now has 44000 miles and the alarm has appeared twice in the past 4000 miles. This almost caused an accident as it disables the abs at any given time. The dealer says it is the Hydraulic Control Unit.

The # 4 cam bearing seized to the camshaft. Upon further investigation the #4 main bearing was damaged from metal chips that were not removed during the manufacture of the engine. This damage from the manufacturing defect left the engine block damaged beyond repair. So a short block was ordered and installed.

The transmission failed while driving in a remote area 600 mi from home. Check engine light came on. Truck was in the shop for over 50 days. The truck had less than 3,000 miles on it when the transmission failed.
The UCONNECT digital center display occasionally goes completely dark or shuts off. Sometimes displays an error message like "uconnect box requires service". This display is essential for managing everything from air conditioning to music and navigation. When the windshield fogs up and you need to adjust airflow while driving for visibility, this malfunction can be distracting and pose a safety hazard. Additionally, the rear backup camera fails to function when the screen is blank, which is particularly concerning in this long-bed truck when reversing in parking lots. This issue has been presented to the dealer, and the vehicle has been dropped off for service. Initially, the problems were minor, such as difficulties with CarPlay connectivity and the screen rebooting, but I could not repli

I purchased a FACTORY Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System for my fifth wheel. Factory TTMS system allows up to 5-6 different trailers per vehicle. TTMS allows owner to enter minimum PSI per trailer. The RAM factory system does not work as advertised. I paired wheel sensors to TTMS in vehicle and set minimum PSI to 100. When I shut vehicle off the preset reverts back to factory 50 PSI. Also TTMS recognizes 3 wheel sensors 50% of the time. The other 50% dashboard shows red lines instead of trailer tire pressure. I brought vehicle to dealership after creating a case file with Ram care #87574156. Case file was created due to numerous complaints of Ram HD forum 2019-2022 model years. Ram care notified dealer that no repair authorized without trailer being present. My Ram dealer parking lot

The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
