When auto stop is engaged and letting off the brake the vehicle jumps forward when the engine starts again. In previous vehicles with this feature the vehicle never "jumped" forward.

Fuel pump failed to supply engine with fuel, first started November 9, the vehicle was scheduled for regular maintenance on November 13, 2023 where I addressed the vehicle has been jerking and stalling. Service advisor saw a problem but Rick hendrick service department was unable to find what was wrong. On November 15th 2023 I reported ongoing issue and scheduled to return the vehicle for November 16, 2023, as I was driving to the dealership my car started stalling as I was going around a semi truck and a on coming car almost hit my car, Engine Light says Engine power reduced came on and I had to slowly drive the car in. High capacity fuel pump stopped working while going up a hill. Lost all driving power on freeway and was unable to accelerate any more. Luckily there was a pull off on the freeway or I would have been on a blind turn with cars going 70mph. Had to have pump replaced at a local shop as there was no recall for 2023. 2021 and 2022 have the recall for this specific component.
In September 2025 engine light came on and the message Engine Power is Reduced. The message and light went off. In October 2025 the engine light came on again and another message came on. Something like service ES. I didn’t catch the rest of it. No trouble driving and engine light went out after driving awhile. I took it to the Chevy dealer and they told me I need a new fuel pump. Car has only 58,249 miles on it. I refused repair and told them there were several recalls, but not for my year. Apparently this is a major problem with the Chevy Equinox.

Multiple problems since vehicle was bought brand new 2023 with 9 miles on it. 1st time - high pressure fuel pump died doing 70mph on high way. Took them 3 months to repair it. 2nd time- breaks completely stopped working while driving, all lights came on. They cleared the code and said to drive it. 3rd time- 2 days later breaks keep pushing through. They will not address it. 4th time- broke down with check engine light on high way. Turned off then on again light goes away, never saved a code. 5th time- will not shift out of 4th gear on high way. Dealer said they could not replicate this. It has not stopped doing this along with throttle response being dangerously poor.
Vehicle doesn't start all the time. Also has shut down when driving.everything shuts down.then it will start back up in about a minute or two. Had it at dealer and the can't find any problems or codes.
My trunk unlocked every time I put my vehicle in park. This has happened a few months ago as well.
Water leak flooding the rear passenger compartment floor and the rear spare tire well. The water appears to be entering at the rear pillars. On the left rear leak, it is entering the fuse panel. The right rear leaks by the power outlet. I fear this is going to cause corrosion and create problems in the future. I removed almost 2 gallons of water from the rear floor with a carpet extractor. I was able to pull a drain plug in the rear spare tire well to remove that water. The moisture in the vehicle condensates on the inside windshield, moon/sunroof and the rear back glass making it difficult to leave in an emergency without first wiping all the window down with a towel. FYI: I am the brother of the vehicle owner. She has stage 4 lung cancer and I am handling things for her.

Electronics continually work in a “muted” manor. Not enough heat from the seat, steering wheel etc. Park assist and cruise control disengage on their own. Infotainment screen fails to recognize key fob and reboots radio. Entire camera system frequently goes out with an error that no cameras are even hooked up. HVAC system runs way too cold. Blower cuts out. Random vents will work, others don’t or struggle. Zero airflow out of the rear vents. Excessive water drips out of vehicle from several spots while either minimal or no exhaust coming from tailpipe. Sometimes exhaust comes from under the hood. While Dinghy Towing the vehicle behind a motor home the tires lock up, skid and screech when going through tight turns such as cloverleaf on or off-ramps. After turns are made the vehicle handling returns to normal. Posted/suggested speeds or less are followed for the turns. The issue has occurred on numerous occasions and could be easily reproduced under actual towing conditions. The written Owners Manual that came with the vehicle when purchased new states clearly the that dinghy towing is allowed. We purchased specifically with that in mind and talked to the dealer at length about our intention of dinghy towing it. A case has been opened with GM and the vehicle has been assessed by 2 different Chevrolet dealers. No obvious defects have been found by the dealers. The issue is unreso

Entering a freeway off-ramp at about 65 mph, I depressed the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor with little resistance. Two error messages were displayed on the dashboard: "Brake System Failure - 62 MPH Top Speed" and "Service ESC". The following dashboard lights came on: Check Engine, Brake, ESC, ABS. I held the brake pedal to the floor and coasted to a complete stop at the intersection, then proceeded slowly into a nearby parking lot and stopped. Braking effort did not become difficult, rather it was reduced to a small fraction of normal braking power. An online search indicated that disconnecting/reconnecting the negative battery terminal might resolve the problem, and it did, allowing me to carefully drive home with full braking. I intended to pull the vehicle behind my RV using a tow dolly. I loaded the vehicle on the tow dolly per the owner’s manual and left the key fob in my RV. After about 15 mins, we began our trip and the vehicle pulled behind without issue. About 10 miles down the road, I stopped to check the securement straps to make sure they were still tight and I also needed to check the steering strap to make sure it was still tight as well. After doing so, we proceeded down the road for a very short distance (approx 100 feet or so) when we noticed smoke behind us. We immediately pulled over and observed that the rear tires were locked up by the emergency brake setting on the vehicle. The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH and exiting a ramp to merge onto the highway in oncoming traffic, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle failed to respond as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle lost motive power with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed high-pressure fuel pump module. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the parts to complete the repair were unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

Air recirculation button has never worked since I bought my vehicle brand new in 3/2023. It continuously brings outside air in.
My car has a vibration, I went to the dealer after one week of buying it, they first told me it has a learning transmission and after it learns how I drive it will go away. I later found out there is not such thing, the vibration at first was at slow speeds 30 t0 40 mph. I made a complaint to gm and the dealer, the dealer felt the vibration but could find what was the cause and said gm has to receive several complaints and considered this normal, I have taken it back for service a advised them gain of the ,problem and was told they could not fine the problem to wait until it get worse . I took it back over 6 times with no answers. My car has been shutting down or going into limp mode. It has happened 4 times now and has left me stranded. The second time it happened I was going highway speeds and car lost power causing me to almost get rearended trying to pull my car off road. The 3rd time it happened my car stahled while idling and I could not get it to start back up in the middle of traffic at intersection. I have had injector and pipe replaced, ecm updated and now its going back to dealer as it is currently broke down again.

When flat towing behind a motorhome, per manual instructions, going on or off a highway ramp....cloverleaf, the tires will squeal like they are dragging. This does not occur every time, however 75% of the time it does. A very loud screeching, dragging or braking, pulling the motorhome down from 35mph or 40mph to 10mph. This is also noticed occasionally on turns from one street to another, however short lived by comparison. The dragging/slowing is unnerving and dangerous to suddenly slow down with no brake action by the motorhome. This has occurred on several trips this summer (2023). ****Several times this summer, most recent of 10/12/23.
