While Driving to my appointments via the freeway, all of a sudden the vehicle slowed down, I noticed most of the warning lights were on including the check engine light that was blinking. I Happened to be near a GMC dealership which previously did repair work on my vehicle and left it with their service center for a diagnostic inspection. A week later my service advisor contacted me with their Vehicle condition report that my vehicle had camshaft and internal engine group issues. He quoted repairs but recommended replacing the engine. Repair or engine replacement $21,296.51. Six months before this issue I had the same issue the warning lights and it resorted in replacing the brake control cylinder. Once repaired no issues/messages or symptoms with my vehicle until this current engine p
I dont believe the correct fix is changing Oil Viscocity
I bought this 2023 Chevy Tahoe rst brand new from the dealer and about a few months of owning it I noticed that the truck was needing oil before the next oil change. It’s as if it was consuming itself. This continues for month until last week when the truck died on me. I was able to jump start and everything worked fine for a day. The next day things got worse. I was on the highway and truck started shaking and giving off all kinds of codes. I took it to dealer and they said I needed a new battery but that there was also an engine problem. I bought a new battery and none of the messages on dash resolved like I was told. The truck is u drivable motor is knocking and was even making loud popping sounds. Of course my truck just hit 64,000 miles so gm is saying I’m out of warranty. I should no
The idler pulley was squealing. Dealership I took it to said this was the 3rd one they've had to replace in the last few days.

I asked the dealer for information about the L87 6.2L engine rod bearing failure recall. I was told that they wouldnt perform the work until i recieved a letter from GM. This was when i got my first oil change. Then every oil change after that i asked the same question. At 43401 miles i parked the vehicle and havent driven it since. I am afraid to have something happen to me or my family. I paid $82,000.00 for a vehicle that GM's fix is to add thicker oil. I think that the rods and bearings should at least be visually inspected. The dealers maintenance manager at Kunes Lake Geneva says theyll listen to it with a stethescope. If it sounds ok theyll change the oil. I paid way to much to chance my familys safety on thicker oil. To make the situation better the vehicle blue books for $56,000.0
While driving this rental vehicle in traffic it shutdown and came to an abrupt halt. All lights on the dash were flashing, emergency hazard lights would not turn on. Attempted to restart vehicle with no result. After 2 minutes vehicle dash lights went off and hazard lights were able to be turned on. Vehicle then restarted. While pulling vehicle off the road, brakes were not responsive.
2nd Powertrain failure in 4 months in 2023 Tahoe with 6.2L engine. The first being the Camshaft and lifters failing at highway speeds, which was repaired. The second issue the engine seized while on a tollway going approx 70 MPH with my spouse, children, and family in the vehicle. We were able to coast to the shoulder while waiting on a tow truck. Because of the engine being seized, the Tahoe is waiting on the engine to be replaced. While we wait, we were told they have no loaner vehicles and there are no GM rental vehicles available with who they contract through. Having a 2023 leased vehicle fail twice in 4 months with children in the vehicle is unacceptable and brings to question the safety and reliability of the vehicle moving foreward.

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving 10 MPH, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 39,144.
Vehicle 1 pulled out into Vehicle 2s lane and cut them off causing Vehicle 2 to slam on the breaks causing My vehicle ( Vehicle 3 ) to collide into the back of vehicle 2. No emergency breaking a-curd and no airbags deployed durring contact at rate of speed of 45-60MPH. Total damage to Vehicle 2 rear end and total damage to vehicle 3 front end.
The vehicle made a ding sound and the air bag light came on for a few seconds and then went off.

Onstar Telematics Module failure. Part is on backorder with no ETA. This module failure removes the navigation, Onstar services including safety notifications, clocks can stop working, Android auto/Apple Carplay services are not functional or intermittently working. My vehicle has stalled out at a red light. GM is refusing to cover the replacement saying it is out of the bumper to bumper to warranty but they have so many of these needing replaced they can't say when they will get the parts. Module has been confirmed dead by a mechanic at a private shop and by the dealership. GM states this is under the bumper to bumper to warranty even though it controls parts of the power train and should be covered under powertrain warranty as well.
This is a brand new vehicle with a known problem to GM yet they keep selling them and admit they cannot fix it. The audio system, including the blinker sound, is warning systems and hands free phone capabilities do not work properly, if at all. This is a distraction while driving - especially when it comes to phone use. It is deceptive and putting public safety at risk, not to mention costing consumers thousands of dollars. Their built in safety system (onstar) cannot be accessed due to lack of audio rendering it useless in a crash/emergency which is a selling point they tout. I do have video of this occurring. Dealership says they cannot repair and that consumers are just stuck with expensive vehicles they cannot rely on.

Driving down a street we heard a loud boom almost sounded like something exploded We looked around but saw nothing. Then started hearing noises from the sunroof Sure enough it had exploded Not cracked And it is smashed outwardly not in therefore not something that hit it or caused impact from the outside in. We researched it and seems to be a known ongoing issue. Very dangerous as it is happening more and more. It definitely startled us and could have been a scary situation if we had been on the highway. Also dangerous if that glass falls on you while driving.
[XXX] occupant was sitting in the rear driver side bucket seat and operator was able to use the automatic buttons near the tailgate and fold down the seat onto occupant. Occupant received a bruise on the forehead and potential back injury. There should be a safety guard to prevent the chair from folding when an occupant or object is in the seat. The car was parked totally normal, went into a store, then came out to start it and when it was put in drive every light on the dash came on and gave a warning for “brake system failure top speed 43 mph” “service traction control” “service esc” “service steering column lock” “service brake pad monitor” “trailer brakes disabled service required”. Shut the vehicle off and restarted with same results. Brakes were inoperable and almost hit the car parked in front of me. Let the car shut down for a couple hours came back and started it and now everything acts normal except there is a Check engine light. Haven’t read the codes yet but am making an appointment at the dealer for warranty work.
The car presented steering lock column issues with repair lights on at 50 miles. Since then, they have repaired the system numerous times and replaced that system fully twice. They also replaced the manual start system and six other pieces of the car over 18 visits to two different Chevy dealerships. The car still reduces speed and stops acceleration, has electric issues in the windows, lights and gate etc.

Vehicle suddenly lost breaking power while driving . The vehicle system shows Antilock Braking System issues. Losing Break power while driving has serious consequences
On 12/3/2025, I moved my car in the driveway at 11:15am EST without any issue. At 6pm EST, myself and 2 young daughters got into the car to head out an hour away. As I went to drive away, I stepped on the brake and the car did not immediately stop…the brakes failed and came to a rolling stop. At that moment all types of warning and lights lit up the dashboard. I placed the car in park exactly where it was in the driveway and left it. I also tried to select the Ebrake and it would not engage. I called the dealer first thing the next morning as that had been closed at the time it happened. I was told to bring it in and not to drive it so nobody in my car or else would be at risk. The car was towed at my expense to the dealer. When I got in touch with the dealer that afternoon to g
