Cylinder failed right after I had the 6.2 engine recalled. Failed on a 1200 mile daily trip through winter conditions in Utah.

While driving down the highway the top part of the front of the grill flew off bounced over top of my vehicle and landed on the ground in the highway where the car behind me then ran it over and it blew into the median. I notified my local GMC dealer who said there is no active recall. Filed a complaint with GMC as this is a known issue and has already been recalled on the 2022 model. They reviewed and denied my claim at this time. It is a known manufacturer issue and creates a highway hazard if they continue to blow off and possibly hit or injure athers
Upper grill trim panel broke off while on highway and went flying over the truck while at highway speeds. Same issue as existing recall for the 2022 model.
The grille deflector suddenly detached from the truck and flew off into traffic. It narrowly missed the vehicle behind me and could have caused a serious accident or injury. There was no prior warning or impact that would explain the failure.
Tailgate opens by itself, a know issue by GM and Sierra drivers. Mine was damaged by opening and banging against my travel trailer. I have been talking with GM about this since September. Today a different department told me they require up to 30 days to investigate and if I pay for the repairs myself they will cancel the investigation. Objects flying out of my pickup bed could damage my vehicle, my camper and others on the road.

Vehicle stalled out, lost power, left me stranded on side of road. No warning, check engine lights or any other inclination prior. Turn out to be fuel pump control module.
When driving leaving my home and about 2 miles in operation the truck lost power. Not realizing quite what was happening looking at the instrument panel I noticed a drop in RPM and speed. There were no other indicators of problems and The check engine light didn't come on. Instinctively i pushed the accelerator down with no response. Now realizing that the truck was having problems I tried to get off the road. The area of malfunction was not a good place to stop and did the best I could, the truck half out of the traffic lane. In trying to restart the truck which turned over but would not restart. I felt it was acting like it ran out of fuel, checking the fuel gage which indicated 3/4 tank. The truck was towed to the dealership. During the intake conversion the employee stated " it's p
The issues with my vehicle began when the radio intermittently cut off or froze. Despite several attempts by the dealer to resolve the problem, they were unsuccessful. Early on, various electrical components failed to load or perform correctly, with the dealer attributing this to software updates. Currently, when the radio cuts off or freezes, I experience additional problems: the headlights randomly flash between dim and bright, the heads-up display fails to load or shows incomplete information, the collision detection activates with no objects around, and dynamic cruise control becomes unreliable or fails to engage. The wipers operate randomly, and the vehicle stalls when the auto start/stop feature is engaged. Random warning lights appear on the dash, and each day brings new, different
Engine stops running due to a known problem with GM's Fuel Pump Control Module. The unexpected shutting off of the engine poses a serious risk to passengers and other vehicles while operation on all roads. There are numerous vehicles in the service centers of all GM dealerships with the exact same failed part. The three month backlog on receiving parts is indicative that GM knows about this problem and has not issued recalls.
powertrain 2 complaints shown
Tailgate can open by switch located at storage area in console. It can be easily bumped then tailgate will o pen without driver receiving a warning light or dashboard message. If this occurs, and it did with this vehicle, any cargo could potentially fall out causing accident to vehicles following. Additionally, the powertrain (transmission) is a known problem for failure. If such a failure occurs the rear wheels can lock up causing accidents/injury to driver and others. NOTE- this has not happened to this vehicle yet but does cause concern for it happening and GM not doing a recall.
The truck jolts forward when approaching a complete stop. I have to prepare for it as I decelerate 10mph to 5mph to complete stop.

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated upon attempting to start the vehicle remotely, the lights illuminated; however, the engine failed to turn over. The contact stated that upon pressing the Push to Start button, the message "Service Braking System" and other braking system messages, and message that the "Top Speed 43 MPH" were displayed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle experienced reduced braking while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where an unknown software update was performed; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where a service representative scanned the vehicle and info
While driving on the highway a message came up stating Brake System Failure, top speed 62 mph. It also came up with other error messages, like service traction control. I completely lost any braking capability and had to let it slow down & pull off to the side of the highway. I shutoff the vehicle and then restarted it & everything seemed fine. I took it to the dealership right away, where they said it had about 20 communication codes across different systems. After 3 days of them having it, they have no idea what is going on. They are now test driving my truck to see if they can get it to happen again (which could kill someone if it does happen again).
lighting 1 complaint shown
The reverse lights are too dim to provide sufficient viewing of the rear of the truck when it is dark outside and there is no other lighting. Almost nothing can be seen from the rearview or sideview mirrors, and the backup camera is rendered useless. GM changed the design of the taillights such that they are now sealed, which means owners cannot upgrade the reverse lights with stronger LEDs any longer. This lack of lighting is more than an inconvenience; it is a safety issue. This is a known issue and GM is well aware of it.
