When driven especially in cold weather the steering feels like it sticks or jerks when making minimum movements. Which feels like it does not track or have to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction. Happens when driving and standstill. This may be related to the current Honda steering recall.
Steering is very sticky and feels like pressure builds up while driving. Several times I've been in a situation where I have to jerk the steering wheel because it "locks" up and feels like your trying to pull apart magnets. The Honda dealership says they can't duplicate the issue. American Honda is ridiculous and won't help at all. I'm having a lemon law attorney currently review this issue along with other issues I've had with the HRV. This car is a total disappointment and unsafe in so many ways and Honda knows exactly what's going on they just aren't doing anything about it.
I can feel my steering wheel sticking to the left and right. It's not the lane departure assist, it just sticks. I've taken it to my dealership twice and both times they admit they feel it sticking but says they don't have an answer. Looking this up, it sounds like there are several other HR-V owners with the same problem. Driving on a highway in a windy city, it takes a lot to control the car but makes it way worse when the steering wheel sticks. I feel like this is a major safety issue and Honda won't do anything about it. This happens all the time, not just once. You can feel it while in park or while driving.
During a short drip in August 2023 was the first time I noticed the steering "freezing" on the highway and jolting when I tried to control it. I had to use considerable force to hold and direct the steering throughout the trip and back. Still, on the trip, it sometimes felt as if the vehicle was floating and the steering had no grip. It was such a risky and exhausting trip for me because of this problem. On November 30th, 2023, I was on the highway again and experienced it. The steering felt stiff and at times, the front wheels felt like they were being magnetically pulled away in a different direction. I felt so unsafe with other fast-moving vehicles on every side as I struggled to keep the steering aligned. I had to use a good amount of force to grip and direct the steering and found mys

I had just arrived home from a short 2 mile drive and was sitting in my car for a few minutes with the vehicle running when the rear glass suddenly shattered. Confused and startled, I got out of the car to inspect what happened and noticed the the entire glass was shattered and left and right edges broken more than the rest. While taking photos, the middle of the glass caved in. This is a known issue, and the manufacturer issued a recall regarding this. The rear windshield was replaced last December by the dealer.
My back windshield shatter while sitting at a red light out of no where.
Used my rear defoster for the first time this morning, after about 10-15 mins, rear window shattered! I have pictures but cannot upload them
On 12/21/23, I went out to my secure garage to my 2023 Honda HRV and found that the back window had completely shattered. After further investigation, I did not find any obvious external reason for this incident. I had driven the car on 12/20/23, which was a rainy day and may have activated the rear wiper and/or rear defogger. But to my knowledge, there was no impact of any kind to the window. The component that failed was the rear window. No one was hurt; however, this could've been a safety issue if it happened on the road. There was no warning prior to the incident. The vehicle was purchased on 11/26/22 and was last serviced on 10/30/23, where no problems were noted. I called Honda, thinking this may be a product defect. They confirmed that it wasn't and that it was not covered

In the morning of December 31, 2024, I got into my 2023 Honda HRV and as I turned on the ignition, I was shocked by the shattering sound of glass at the rear of the vehicle. To my horror, it was the rear windshield that had shattered to smithereens. I was terribly upset by this incident and while thinking of my next action, I learned through Google that it was due to a manufacturing defect with the 2023 Honda HRV model. Yet, I had not been notified by the Honda of any recall in regard to this defect. I took the car to the nearest Honda dealership where they plastered the rear of my car with a thin plastic and promised to call me as soon as they got the necessary parts. The incident could have caused serious physical and emotional injuries if I had passengers in the rear seats of the car. E
The rear window of my one year old 2023 HrV suddenly shattered, thankfully while vehicle was parked. No impact to glass or reasoning, I filed an incident report with police out of concern, they had never seen anything like it but stated it was not due to any object impact. This happened right on Christmas weekend, leaving me without a safe car to drive which ruined some of plans and dealership was unable to assist but associate did mention she’s seen another customer with same issue and there are many similar instances online. I could’ve been driving or had my boy in the backseat when this happened. There seems to be some issue with the pressure points and placement of the window, frightening this can happen again. No warning lights triggered for this particular scenario. Please issue reca
