The truck lurches forward maybe 2". Once when parking and once when using the remote start. Fortunately it didn't hit anything or anybody.

Driving down the highway at 70MPH and the sunroof randomly explodes and glass falls all over me. There was nothing wrong with the window at the time of failure and to my knowledge nothing made contact to cause this. This is extremely dangerous. I have searched forums online and found this it a regularly occurring incident. Honda should be responsible to repair/replace faulty sunroof

While driving the vehicle, the codes related to the following systems all began flashing: Automatic Emergency Braking Lane Departure Warning Lane Keeping Assistance My 17-year-old daughter, a new driver, was driving the vehicle at the time and became concerned, distracting her from concentrating on the road. The next day when my husband went to check the car, now the check engine lights were now lit. I just brought this, less than one-year-old vehicle back to the dealership. I was advised the capless gas tank was broken and not closing properly. I am not sure why this should malfunction after less than one year of driving. I do not know if this causes fuel to escape if the tank is not properly closing, thus possibly causing a safety concern. This is in addition to the auto-re

The auto start/stop feature has a delay before restarting the engine after full stop in traffic. This delay is dangerous. If you don't anticipate the slight delay before pressing gas pedal to move through traffic your timing is slightly impaired by this delay. All Honda vehicles seem to be experiencing this delay and are reporting and complaining about it.
Three times we have been driving the vehicle on a steep grade when the vehicle lurches forward in a short accelerated sortie.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was inspected and determined that there was potential damage to the bearings and that the crankshaft and the short block needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact stated that the recall covered older model Honda Ridgelines. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
After driving on an interstate or four lane road for a while (cold weather) when I pull off an exit and start to accelerate the truck has no power and the check engine light is on. The dealer tells me that the engine goes into a safety mode so that it is not doing any damage to the engine. I have to safely pull over and shut truck off and it must reset computer. My problem is you do not know there is no power until you pull out on the road that may have 55 mph traffic coming and there is no power to accelerate. I have had this happen four- five times and had in for repairs three time hoping truck is fixed. Dealer says they have adjusted something. First happen 2/2023 after having truck for a few weeks.
Loss of motive power. Temperature 35 f. Exited interstate after 2 hours of 70 mph. Upon exit, check engine light began flashing and power was diminished severely. After shutting vehicle down and letting it cool, it was normal. Dealer was unable to replicate the problem. Dealer says that it is an issue known to Honda, caused by condensation in the intake manifold in cold weather. Dealer says that Honda has been unable to solve. This could be very dangerous.

Automatic high beams do not come on enough, turn off with slightest reflected light.
The Auto High Beam functionality is erratic and dangerous. The high beams go off unexpectedly when needed. The high beams come on unexpectedly when there are close oncoming vehicles blinding these drivers and causing a road rage potential. This is a common complaint on the Honda Ridgeline forum. I made both our dealer and Honda USA aware of this problem weeks after I purchased this truck and repeatedly every time I have taken it to dealer for routine maintenance.
Auto high beams do not work properly. When using they do not work as intended and cause an extreme danger for visibility. I nearly hit a deer at highway speeds due to failure to operate when should have been in high beam. Also they go on and off causing blinding to oncoming traffic. This is a well known problem documented by numerous honda Ridgeline owners. It needs to be fixed before more people are injured or killed as a result.

While driving home, my Brand New 2023 Honda Ridgeline's, with 3,350 miles, transmission's warning light popped up and my transmission when into N while on the highway, I was on the fast lane, while I started noticing the lack of power coming out of the transmission. I almost hit several cars and almost got killed by a 18 wheeler because by the time I managed to reach the emergency lane, I was doing 35 miles on a 65 zone, highway. My truck got stuck in P till I removed the terminals from the battery and reset the system. The truck was available to be put on D, but now the gears are bouncing and the truck accelerate by itself while braking almost collating with the vehicle in front of me. Honda can not replicate the problem and says it is fine. I AM WORRY TO KILL SOMEONE ON THE ROAD FOR HOND
The transmission is shifting out of gear and into nuetral while starting to drive and while driving. There is a fault code stating “stop driving when safe, transmission issue, see manual” I have provided videos and the techs at Honda have confirmed the issue. Honda states there is no current correction. Honda has had 2 attempts to repair. Driving under these conditions is unsafe for traffic and road conditions. Honda states no drive ability issues. I was told by a service advisor that this will lead to transmission failure and to bring it back when that happens. Issue started 12/9/2024.

Automatic high beam function puts high beam on with oncoming vehicles, but not when no oncoming traffic. Dealership cannot identify problem.
I have been getting recall notices and each time I've called (beginning of the recall and just now dec 11th) My Honda location has told me Honda has not released the the parts yet another notice will be sent to advise when they will be available for repair. This is very frustrating as I have time now for the repair to be done and I'm not always available for this process , so nothing has been on a timely manner as this has been ongoing for months and months now. I've not had any accidents YET!

The Engine Auto Idle Stop system causes the vehicle to intermittently drift backward (without power) for 1-2 seconds, until restart, when at certain types of intersections (extremely minimal incline or near-level intersections). This has caused numerous unsafe situations during normal driving involving the backward drift. Furthermore, the drift and restart delay cause significant hesitation during intended acceleration attempts at the described intersections. The drift has potential to cause a collision with catastrophic injury to a trailing vehicle, and the restart delay can cause a collision with catastrophic injury at intersections. The dealer and manufacturer have both had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and report it is operating "as designed." The only message is the illu
