The start/stop switch stalls the vehicle and will not restart after several tries for up to 5 minutes. We get a message during this time to "continue to drive, depress brake pedal and push switch" and even after then it still will not start for several tries. This has happened several times. One time my wife was on a heavily traveled two lane farm road at a four-way stop and it did it and was almost hit by 18 wheelers trying to navigate around her. This was not only a safety issue for her but also those trying to get around her with all the traffic coming in all direction. Took back to the dealer but it did not do it while they tried to recreate the issue. No warnings prior to the issue of dying and not re-starting. This was the latest occurrence, it had happened a couple of times bef
I was lightly stepped on the gas coming off a complete stop with no cars in front of me. The automatic breaking came on hard and a sensor flashed to BRAKE as if I was going to hit someone but there was nobody in front of me. The sensor alert system was turned off 15min prior as I had gone through a car wash. This is the first time this has happened but unknown why. Had there been a car behind me, I may have been hit.
The contact owns a 2024 Acura MDX. The contact stated that when the vehicle was cold started, the rearview camera delayed in showing an image after the transmission was shifted into reverse(R). Additionally, the contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the instrument cluster indicated that the Navigational System and Driving Modes were not engaged. The contact stated that the 360-degree camera and the Suspension Mode control were inoperable. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed that several electrical wiring harnesses needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failures reoccurred, and that there was a warning with a yellow dot indicating that the "Bin/WiFi/NavSys” was inoperable. The contact took the vehicle back to the sam
Vehicle will suddenly shut the engine off and shift into park, even when the auto engine shut off is not active. Typically happens when stopped at a stop light. You will feel the engine shut off, and the car shift into park. It is very scary and unsafe. It has also caused the vehicle to shut off and shift into neutral while it was moving, and the vehicle gave a transmission warning. It sounds very similar to NHTSA Recall 25v-031, however, my vehicle was not included in the recall as it is not a Type S. I took it to the dealership and they said that Acura has opened an investigation due to the number of complaints, but there is no solution yet. I have not other option but to dry the vehicle, but I am worried that it is unsafe and not good for the vehicle to keep stalling the way it i

I purchased my new vehicle (2024 Acura MDX) in September 2024. On December 20, 2024, my SUV was on but in the parked position when the lights on the dashboard started flashing. I had the suv towed to Paragon Acura, where I was informed that the PCM had internal failure due to a circuit shortage. There were not any vehicle issues prior to the issues on December 20.
AC / DEFROSTER / HVAC I am reporting a potential safety and health defect involving the HVAC system in my 2024 Acura MDX. When operating the air conditioning or the front windshield defroster, a strong musty odor enters the cabin. The dealer informed me that resolving the odor requires an EVAP core cleaning, replacement of the cabin filter, and the use of a disinfectant that will be circulated throughout the ventilation system to kill mold, mildew, and other contaminants. I was told this is the “first step” in addressing the issue and that the estimated cost is $440 out of pocket. This is extremely concerning because the presence of mold or bacterial contamination inside the HVAC evaporator and ventilation system affects the air my children and I breathe inside the vehicle. Mold exposure
Front sunroof panel spontaneously exploded while driving on the interstate highway. No impacts or other things touched the sunroof. Vehicles behind had to avoid large portions of the sunroof panel. Flying glass made it dangerous to quickly leave the highway. This is a 2024 mdx with less than 30,000 miles. Never been in an accident before.
Heard a loud “pop” while sitting in parked car. Radio volume spiked up and the passenger side of windshield was shattered. Clear defect in installation.

The contact owns a 2024 Acura MDX. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH a loud booming noise occurred as the glass sunroof exploded without impact. During the incident shards of glass fell into the vehicle's cabin making contact with both the driver and the second-row passenger. The son, who was seated in the second-row passenger seat sustained a laceration on the left arm which did not require medical treatment. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.
The windshield on this 2024 MDX must be replaced because of the rear view mirror coming loose from the windshield. Acura is dragging their feet on correcting this dangerous situation of preventing the ability to see or use the rear view mirror.
Went to get into my 2024 Acura MDX parked car this morning temperature around 68 degrees and noticed the back window of my 2024 MDX had shattered out. There was a large section of glass missing and the glass looks as if it was pushed from the inside out. The vehicle had not been driven or started since the last evening. It seems as though this was a problem with prior Acura models in previous years. Went to the dealer and talked to the technician who said it is not covered under Acura warranty. This is definitely a safety issue as I could have been driving down the interstate when this happened putting my life and others in danger. I can only assume this is an issue Acura is aware of with the class action lawsuit that had been filed.

To: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Subject: Urgent Complaint – Illegal Repossession, Lemon Law Obstruction, and Compensation Claim Against Honda Financial Services Dear Sir or Madam, I am filing a formal complaint regarding the illegal repossession of my leased 2024 Acura MDX, VIN [XXX] , account number [INSERT ACCOUNT NUMBER], by Honda Financial Services. This repossession was conducted without any prior notice, without communication of the date, time, or location, and without any legal authorization or court order. 1. No opportunity to respond or act • I was outside the country at the time of repossession and had no chance to respond or protect my rights. • The vehicle was removed one day before my arrival, despite my sister attempting to coordinate that the vehicle be held
on [XXX], I was trying to park under the shade of a tree when the vehicle suddenly surged forward, ran through the back of a big concrete dumpster retaining wall, pushed the dumpster at least 3 to 4 feet forward. It all happened so fast, I was left puzzled about why the brake failed and caused the accident and property damage. Luckily there was no personal injury to me nor anyone else, my car video showed that I narrowly missed 2 Hispanic young men standing near the dumpster ! Since the car is still under warranty, my plan was to get the car checked out by the dealership mechanic after the body shop finished with the $18,000 repair job. Then on 7/31/2025 I received a recall notice from Honda about BRAKE PEDAL PIVOT PIN may not have been staked during production. I immediately contac

Driving to work, about to merge onto the highway when my car beeped at me and several warning messages appeared on my dashboard: "Road departure mitigation system problem. See your dealer.; Low speed braking control problem. See your dealer.; Electric power steering system problem. Steering assist not available. Do not drive.; Collision mitigation braking system problem. See your dealer." Simultaneously, the steering wheel became extremely hard to turn and the car would barely move, even when applying pressure to the gas pedal. I was, very slowly, able to turn my car off of the main road, onto a side street, and eventually into a parking lot. In the parking lot, I turned the car on and off several times but the warning messages returned and the steering wheel was almost impossible to mo
While driving, the power steering in my car failed. I was unable to turn the steering wheel beyond 0.5” or so. Luckily, I was driving only 25mph on an empty road, so I was able to take my time and pull over. But had I been on the highway, this would have been a fatal crash for my wife, 2 year old, one 5 month old, who were in the car. When the power steering failed, I had 10+ failure messages flash on the screen (full list available on request), along with multiple error lights. The car is with Rallye Acura in Roslyn, NY, who has been unable to replicate the failure. They have stated the car is fine to drive. However, we are very shaken and afraid to get in the car until the root cause is identified, and a solution is offered.

When cruising or coming off a stop, my car is incapable of accelerating promptly if I am trying to get out of the way or even merge into oncoming traffic on a highway. There is a severe acceleration delay perhaps with the throttle body. I have seen online complaints but the dealership said there has to be an actual recall number to correct this. My car has been in several times to fix this. A computer reset did not work. My car is one year old.
The contact owns a 2024 Acura MDX. The contact stated the messages "Parking Sensor Failure - See Dealer", "Brake Performance Failure" and "Brakes May Be Reduced - See Dealer" were displayed. Additionally, the Forward Collision Avoidance sensor would alert the contact of a potential collision erroneously. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the computer systems were reset, and the front bumper sensor was replaced. The contact stated that after the repair, the auto brake hold feature failed to engage upon coming to a stop and releasing the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to roll. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Kearny Mesa Acura (5202 Kearny Mesa Rd, San Diego, CA 92111); to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact also noticed that t

I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the rear windshield glass on my Acura MDX. The rear windshield unexpectedly shattered while the vehicle was stationary, with no known impact or contact with an outside object. I was present when the glass shattered and immediately took multiple photographs and videos before the vehicle was moved. Based on what I observed, the glass appeared to break outward rather than from an outside object striking the vehicle. I later drove the vehicle from my home to the Acura dealership after being advised to do so. By the time the vehicle was inspected, portions of the shattered glass were understandably missing. The dealership later identified an area of missing glass as a possible “point of impact,” although I witnessed the event and there was no

Unknown. Constant creaking and rubbing sound when turning wheel and tires. Acura refuses to look into it more. Not a normal sound for a car less than two years old. Continues to happen everyday since two eeeks after I bought car. Have taken it to Acura multiple times for weeks at a time
