Very limited while driving in the dark cause head lights go off and can’t drive in the rain or snow cause wipers turn off not save for my family and I and other drivers on the road Thai all happen, After the dealer (Lithia Chevrolet of Redding, CA) performed GM recall programming on the Serial Data Gateway Module (SDGM) and related software updates, my truck began having serious electrical failures. Immediately after the recall work, all exterior lights, interior lights, and trailer lights began flickering on and off while driving. The windshield wipers also pause or stop for a moment when this happens. None of these issues existed before the recall. This appears to be a module reset or corrupted calibration caused during the recall reprogramming. GM has already told NHTSA that they have

On July 1st, 2023, I purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 from Orielly Chevrolet in Tucson, Arizona. On July 2nd, 2023, an error message popped up on the dash, “Park Assist Blocked See Owner’s Manual”. It continued to happen on and off til this very day. The dealership "attempted" to fix the issue, but it obviously hasn't been resolved. Due to equipment being faulty, the chances of an accident whilst back up are significantly increased. At one point on this ordeal, the truck was in the shop for 61 days. It had been in my possession for 18 days. I am currently in the process of a buyback for the vehicle. I had to hire a lemon law attorney. A supervisor from GM advised that GM is refusing a buy back for the vehicle. The vehicle also displayed an error, "key not found" while I was drivi

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while hauling a travel trailer at various speeds, the check trailer wiring warning message intermittently flashed on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle and the travel trailer to the respective dealers; however, neither dealer were able to determine the cause of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered a TSB: 23-NA-113 which he linked to the failure. The bulletin stated that the travel trailer brake might become disabled due to a solar panel battery charger. The contact stated that whenever the trailer battery was fully charged and had a higher charge than the vehicle’s battery, there could be a back feed into the trailer brake power module causing a shutdown. The manufacturer was n

The integrate trailer brake control system malfunctions when a trailer equipped with solar panels is hooked up. I recently rented a newer travel trailer and kept on getting a warning that the brake control system was disengaging. Every 30-60 seconds the system would connect and the quickly disconnect. I troubleshooted by hooking up a trailer without solar and the brake controller worked as intended. I also troubleshooted with the trailer by hooking up a 2015 Ford F-350 and the trailer brakes worked as intended. This is a known issue among the 2024 Chevy 2500 and 3500 owners that have reported the same issue. Replacing the trailer control system does not fix the issue.

The GM brake controller will disconnect with the trailer being pulled. You get a message on the information center that the brake controller has lost connection with the trailer or no trailer brakes are available, something to that effect. This has happened up to 5 times in one day. You never know when this will happen. Pulling a 7,000lb trailer and not knowing when you will have 'no brakes' is dangerous. I bought the truck to pull my RV trailer, now am afraid too. I brought my truck into a dealer and first was told "the issue is in the trailer". There is a bulletin saying the issue is do to 'the solar panels or solar generator', I have nether, just one lead acid battery. Then was told 'they don't know what they can do'. I've been in contact with other that have the same make, model, a

Instrument Cluster screen blinking On/Off and showing "Service Instrument Cluster" message. Lost all indications of speed, warnings, gauges, gear selection. Could not tell if vehicle was performing correctly. All sensors appeared to be working, but indications to driver missing.

10/13/2023 ODI #11549810.0

I kept getting “check trailer wiring” messages followed by a “trailer disconnected” message while towing a trailer and the trailer brakes would not engage. The trailer would “reconnect” and then “disconnect” constantly while driving. I lost my trailer brakes while trying to brake down a hill. Not having working trailer brakes is extremely dangerous.

Transmission failure on interstate i90, truck down shifted violently and check engine light came on and warning on dash read speed reduced drive with caution. Took truck to gm dealer on August 1 2024 who said the transmission shift solenoid plate has to be replaced. Gm dealer still has my truck as of October 16 2024 and all I they can tell me is that the part is on back order and they have no idea when it will be available. This could have caused a serious accident as I was also towing a 3500 lb trailer at 65mpg at the time with the speed being reduced so quickly by the failure.

Rear view camera doesn’t display an image in reverse at night. Many reported issues online with Chevrolet and GMC vehicles, model years 2024 and 2025.

Can not see when driving in reverse in the dark. Camera image appears as a red fog and I can't see a thing. I tried using the rear view mirrors and again could not see anything. Totally driving in reverse in the blind. Absolute safety issue that needs to be addressed. I don't know if this is a camera issue, a lighting issue or both. I have an appointment with the dealership I purchased the vehicle from on 10/23/2025 to address the problem explained above. I purchased this vehicle as a used unit with less than 8,000 miles and this was the first time I had the occasion to operate the vehicle in reverse in the dark.

While using adaptive cruise control, the system can detect a vehicle and immediately apply the brakes or slow down. In some cases, it may detect a vehicle (the vehicle icon appears) and trigger an immediate red collision light flash, followed by automatic braking. However, during these events, there were no cars ahead of the vehicle. There was no obstruction of sensors or cameras, and the incidents occurred in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and clear days, both during the day and night. If the road is slick or slippery, this could potentially lead to a loss of control. Additionally, if another vehicle is following closely behind, it could result in a collision.

10/30/2024 Crash ODI #11622718.0

I was towing a dump trailer with gravel in it down a gravel road grade (downhill around 5-7mph) and received a warning on the DTC about the trailer brake being disconnected. All of the lights on the trailer were still working, however the trailer brakes no longer functioned and all of the braking was transferred to the truck. The trailer slowly pushed the rear end of the truck around causing the vehicle to jackknife and causing significant damage to the bumper and bed. After researching this post incident, there appears to be numerous complaints and TSB from chevy regarding a faulty brake controller when towing a trailer where the voltage can backfeed into the vehicle causing the vehicle brake controller to disable. Currently working with insurance to come up with a damage quote. Bulletin
