My backup camera goes black and radio buttons do not work when this happens. They replaced apim and harness wires but did not solve the problem. They say they cannot replace radio because not on recall list. My van is under warranty. My van has the same issue as the recalls but not on the list. I've been having this issue since I bought the van. It needs to be on the recall list so I can get this issue fixed.

Ford has issued recall 24V226 for apparent tire rub on the Transit Trail package almost two months ago and has since given no information on timeline for this recall. This issue seems to be contingent on a "perfect storm" of variables and therefore seems to pose much less of a safety risk than stated. Many owners online report no tire rub even during aggressive offroad driving. Regardless, the agreed upon preventative fix is very well documented within the Transit community and has been performed by countless van owners in the past, myself included. This potential issue should have been blatant well before production started on these models, but now that we're here, it seems Ford is dragging their feet to publish what should be a very quick and straightforward fix which is holding up many

Purchased this new vehicle from the dealer and while driving from the dealership to my business, I heard a loud bang and the vehicle caught fire.
Upon startup center main touch screen black screened making all vehicle settings unavailable. No adjusting radio, climate, settings, parking assistance, etc. Only park that would come up on screen was back up camera view when in reverse but no line assistance.
This is the second time this occurred. Please refer to 11757120. While travelling approximately 65 mph the vehicle had a complete shutdown including the engine and all electrical systems in the chassis. When a vehicle has a complete shutdown while driving it is inherently dangerous and life threatening. The problem has been confirmed by Westlies Truck Center in Minot ND again. To my knowledge the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or anyone other than the staff at the truck center. There were no warnings of any kind prior to this occurrence. We were on a busy 4 lane highway.
We were on our way to a campground. Approximately 40 miles from the campground the RV shut down. All chassis systems failed including the engine and electrical systems. It is available for inspection. Our safety as well as the first mechanic on the scene and tow truck driver because we were only partially off of the roadway. There were no hazard lights working. The problem was confirmed by Westlies Truck Center in Minot ND. The component(s) have not been inspected. There were no warnings or symptoms of any kind. I was told by the service manager that it could happen again.

Ford is taking too long to remedy this recall. And also their inference that there may be smaller tires put on the vehicle materially changes the vehicle that I purchased. Based on information at Large It is believed that there are remedies that can be deployed without reducing the tire size. Many are awaiting their decisions so they can move forward with their vehicles.
We are now 3 months into Ford recall 24S21/24V226 for the Transit Trail. No communication has been received beyond the initial notice in March and no timeline has been given. As seen in forums online, many buyers, myself included, sit in the dark while our vans rot away on the dealers lot with no end in sight. Ford needs to at least give us a timeline so buyers can make an informed decision on proceeding to wait, or back out of their purchases (if possible).
