Component/System: Automatic transmission (requires full replacement). The vehicle is currently located at Safford Mazda of Fredericksburg, 10653 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA, 22408, and is available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: The transmission developed a loud whining and grinding noise while driving, indicating imminent risk of sudden loss of motive power or seizure. This creates a severe crash hazard, especially on highways or during acceleration/merging. Sudden loss of propulsion without warning can leave the driver unable to accelerate, maintain speed, or move out of harm’s way. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by Safford Mazda (authorized Mazda dealer). On October 16, 2025, they diagnosed the vehicle as requiring a complete transmission replacement (Repai

My car is model CX-30 2024 and I bought it a week ago. The car was turned off with the doors open because I was cleaning it. When I wanted to start the car it gave me an error: “Keyless Entry System Malfunction, have the Vehicle Inspected”, also the start indicator light (amber) flashes. After this error message, I couldn't start the car. I called Mazda where I bought it and they told me to do several maneuvers with the key fob, I also tried with the other key fob and after doing thousands of maneuvers the car didn't turn on. They told me to call Mazda's Emergency Roadside Assistance to have them send the tow truck and leave the car in the Mazda workshop. More than 4 hours passed and the tow truck never arrived, I called Mazda roadside assistance again and they told me that there were no t

When the cruise control is canceled and the speed has dropped more than a couple of MPH when it re-engages the accelerator goes full throttle just like you've mashed the pedal to the floor. Also when in an HOV lane with a dividing wall to the left and going around a highway curve it modulates brake/gas/brake/gas, etc. It will also occasionally pick up another vehicle on either side when on a highway curve and do the same thing. But it seems to operate properly in a straight line. I have spoken with Mazda Customer Service several times. The 1st case which was opened they never contacted me and closed the case. The 2nd time they have contacted me on several occasions but I don't seem to be getting their attention.

04/10/2025 Fire ODI #11653829.0

I have a brand new Mazda CX-30 with less than 10k miles. I was not made aware of the seat material being highly flamible. Luckily I nor my kids were in the car when the seat caught fire due to a magnifying effect. Magnifying Effect (Sunlight): If a clear glass or plastic object (like a water bottle, eyeglasses, or even a certain type of air freshener) was left on the seat in direct sunlight, it could have acted as a lens, focusing the sun's rays onto a small area of the seat material. Over time, this concentrated heat could become intense enough to ignite the fabric, especially if it's dry and flammable. This is more likely to happen on a hot, sunny day. I brought this up with the dealership and their reply was to contact Mazda! YOU are Mazda!

While driving normally at highway speed on I-880 South, the braking system failed to decelerate the vehicle. When the brake pedal was pressed firmly, there was no normal slowing—only a sliding sensation, as if the wheels locked and the car moved forward on ice. This led to a collision with a stopped vehicle ahead. The following day, the Mazda App displayed a red alert message: “Brake system malfunction. Braking effectiveness may be decreased.” The vehicle’s airbags deployed very forcefully, causing bruising to both driver and passenger, even though the impact was not severe. Three days before the incident, the vehicle had a scheduled maintenance and recall service at a Mazda dealer, including a brake inspection and air-bag recall repair. The vehicle was declared a total loss by the insuran

I purchased the 2024 Mazda CX-30 from Werner Mazda in Manchester, NH on 12-16-2023. It came with defect(s) that cause interior water buildup on inside windows & roof that also caused the air bag deployers to rust & corrode & for toxic mold to develop in the car. Was obvious soon after I drove the car off the lot on [XXX]. I have taken many pictures & videos of it. Werner Mazda failed to fix the defect(s) / leaks even with video support from Regional Mazda. I filed a Demand For Arbitration with NH New DMV Arbitration Board for a vehicle buyback plus reimbursement of my out of pocket expenses which remains pending as of the date / time of this post (09-14-2024) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On [XXX] autoNation Mazda Arapahoe in Colorado sold me a car for my sign at 2024 CX 30 premium. They said there was an open recall that they needed to fix and we’re keeping the car overnight on June 6, 2025. They deliver the vehicle to my son around noon and around 6 PM on June 6. They contacted my son and said they shouldn’t have sold the vehicle to him and needed the vehicle back. This is my son‘s first vehicle and it’s not a good experience and the dealership should never have sold that car to us knowing that there was not a fix. They were well aware of this on May 29. Wife was driving 2024 Mazda CX-30 with (bought demo from dealer in February with 2500 miles on it and now 4006 miles) daughter ([XXX]) in passenger seat. Airbag deployed with no warning or malfunction lights or alerts prior. Knocked my daughter across the vehicle, startled and traumatized both of them. They were able to safely pull into a shopping center parking lot. Got vehicle towed to the dealer, John Kennedy Mazda in Pottstown PA. Called police--have report and pictures to document. Wife also has videos and pictures. The dealer provided us a loaner vehicle. Next day the service manager, Gary Daniels calls. I ask if he has ever seen this before. "I think I know what caused it. There was a bubble in the right front passenger tire." I responded that I saw how this was going and told him I

The vehicle intermittently fails to start when pressing the push-button start system. The start/stop button becomes unresponsive despite normal conditions (key present, brake engaged, no warning indicators preventing ignition). This has now occurred twice within two years of ownership, indicating a recurring issue rather than an isolated incident. On the most recent occurrence, the vehicle was completely unable to start and required towing. The tow truck operator reported that he had towed four vehicles of the same make/model for the exact same issue within one week, suggesting a broader pattern affecting multiple vehicles. [XXX] fuel door assembly has come loose from body. It looks like the clips that hold it in place have become worn or loose by the weight of the gas nozzle or by the fact that the gas door will not close correctly and car wash machine has made it looser and it appears to not shut all the way, and the body colored panel has fallen off as a result and when you pump gas, the assembly moves may be possibly causing it to leak gasoline if the seal or gasket becomes dislodged because of the loose clips that hold assembly to the body panel.
