General Motors (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ vehicles and 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ vehicles

An improperly secured battery may become damaged in a crash, increasing the risk of a fire.

Fix: Dealers will inspect the high-voltage battery bolts and replace or re-tighten the bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed September 8, 2025. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. GM's number for this recall is N252511300.

OnStar system on the vehicle is busted. Because of this the accident detection no longer works and the GPS is stuck in no mans land which makes it impossible to use their app to figure out charging percentage, how far and route to take to the nearest charging station.

Car has been asleep after parking and will not wake up leaving all electrical components dead. GM has not been able to repair and unfortunately this has occurred 5 times including twice the month of March, 2026. Having a car parked in an unsafe location and not being able to move it very unsettling. After 30-60 minutes the car will start back up and operate normally.

Telematics module failed and the vehicle couldn’t connect to emergency OnStar services if involved in crash. GPS also doesn’t work with a faulty module. No cellular or WiFi connectivity.
