I purchased my 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD new from Wilsonville Chevrolet in Oregon. Since owning the vehicle, I have experienced a noticeable shutter/vibration at highway speeds, consistently between 70–75 mph, whether towing or not. The shutter feels like it is coming from the transmission or driveline, and it occurs on multiple road types and conditions. I reported this issue to Wilsonville Chevrolet, but they told me they “could not duplicate” the problem and offered no repair. I then took the truck to Power Chevrolet in Corvallis, who stated the tires were out of balance and replaced them. This did not resolve the issue, and the shutter at highway speed remains exactly the same. I also contacted GM directly, but was redirected back to the dealership, resulting in no progress. At

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated while her husband was hauling a trailer and driving 55 MPH in the snow, the vehicle lost power steering functionality. In addition, the contact stated the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal before slamming into gear. The RPM fluctuated up to 6,500 RPM. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact's husband was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was turned off but failed to restart. The contact's husband stepped out of the vehicle, and the vehicle restarted automatically. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the wiring was for a diesel vehicle; however, the contact's vehicle was gasoline operated. T

Transmission lock-up while driving. Rear end of vehicle jumped up felt like I was rear ended. If this happened at higher speed or when towing it could cause serious injury to myself or others. The problem is well known by the dealers and GM manufacturing, they have recalled over 400000 trucks with this issue years 2020 to 2022 and yet they are still installing the faulty control bodies in the transmission of the 2023 to 2025 models. No warning messages, there was some shifting issues just before the lock-up.

Supposedly The oil cooler ended up failing causing oil to be pumped into the cooling system at 26000 miles 8 months after purchase. A low oil message popped up upon start up looked under the hood a noticed no oil on the dip stick and a coolant reservoir full of jet black oil (supposed to be a bright red) and a fluid level higher than the normally observed coolant level. Thankfully happened in my drive way. It could have left me stranded had the engine completely run out of oil/overheated etc. Had the coolant reservoir broke/cracked due to the extra pressure and added volume in the coolant system it would have leaked a coolant/oil mixture in the engine bay around hot components of the motor. (potential fire hazard in my opinion) thankfully was able to get it towed to the dealer before any m

I do not have access to my owners manual. One was not included with the truck when I bought it. I was told I could download it in the app, but I am still unable to do so.

Tailgate has been coming open while driving. Multiple times. The last time it landed on the jack of my enclosed trailer. Without me knowing. First time was 2-3-25 and the last time was 9-2-25

When towing a trailer, the trailer brakes will disconnect when applying medium to hard brake. This is when the brakes on the trailer are needed the most. The trailer lights still work when the brakes controller disconnects them. There was a recall on the 2024 Chevrolet HD trucks to "fix" this.

Engine started pouring fuel out in large quantities coating the entire chassis. I was lucky, I had planned to go fishing early but had boat issue. Had I gone early in the dark it would have been catastrophic. Large amounts of gas. Pouring out. I'm lucky, when moving the truck my wife noticed the fuel was leaving a trail down the road and started screaming. I immediately parked the vehicle and I am waiting on support to get to dealer. The fuel system is a known defect on 2025/2026 Silverado but not yet identified for this HD 2500 with same 6.6l engine. Entire cab is full of gas fumes. This was extremely scary.

Following vehicle startup, the entire audio system defaults to a muted state, affecting all sound output channels. This includes, but is not limited to: Critical Safety Alerts: Seat belt warnings, system malfunction indicators, and door ajar chimes. Proximity and Collision Warnings: Parking assist chimes, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) warnings, and Backup Collision Intervention (BCI) alerts. Communication Systems: Navigation prompts and hands-free/Bluetooth call audio. The audio failure persists until manual user intervention or the next vehicle cycle, disabling critical warning redundancy. Safety Implications The system-wide audio failure directly compromises the safety of vehicle occupants and surrounding pedestrians in two primary ways: Risk to Pedestrians: The silencing of pro

I was driving the truck on my way to work in [XXX] , last March 12, 2026, at around 6:50 am. It was raining when I entered the exit ramp to work going west; the truck died, and the steering wheel locked. I tried to start it, but it wouldn't. The dashboard displayed: 'Trailer Park Brake Failed,' 'Power Steering Pump Needs Service,' and 'Axle Repair Error.' I was on the exit ramp for a highway that runs north and south, and I could have been t-boned; it was still dark. The truck was towed to Curry Chevrolet in Scarsdale. They said it was the ECM and ordered the part. They installed the new ECM module last Tuesday, March 17. The service manager called me and said they tested the truck, but it is still showing active codes. A GM advisor called me saying the truck should be ready for pickup thi

My 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT (new vehicle, low mileage) has a persistent water intrusion/leak into the cab interior. Water appears at the top of the headliner/ceiling, specifically around the overhead console where the HomeLink garage door opener buttons and map lights are located. This occurs after rain events, heavy precipitation, and results in visible wetness, dripping, and staining on the headliner fabric in the front overhead area. The leak is repeatable under wet conditions. It strongly suggests entry through the roof-mounted shark fin antenna (OnStar/XM/GPS antenna) seal or possibly the windshield-to-roof junction, as water migrates forward along the headliner to the overhead console area. This is a known issue pattern in prior GM trucks (e.g., 2014–2019 models with TSBs
