Emergency braking occurs at random, even if I'm the only vehicle / object on the roadway. This has been ongoing and has been to the dealership three times. It starts back up each time the vehicle gets an update. Adaptive cruise will brake hard due to false emergency braking, but does not always stop accelerating at the set point (has gone as high as 20 mph over the set point previously and brakes would not respond during). Vehicle was not starting and "press brake to start" warning was showing even though brake pedal was pressed. Brake master cylinder had to be replaced along with brake module. When picking the vehicle up afterward, warning light came while vehicle was warming up "service brake assist" and then shortly after the yellow-circled ABS dashlight came on. Dealership said this w

2025 Traverse ABS brake system failed, and master cylinder broke at 12K. All of the safety features, Lane Departure, Forward Crash detection, blind spot, automatic braking system all stop working with no signs that it was failing! Extremely unsafe! Traverse are meant to be family vehicles, well with major functions failures this kind of problem is going be recipe for disaster if not recalled ASAP.
I started the vehicle to move it to a different place in my driveway and after putting it in reverse, it notified me that the ABS was not working. I could not stop the vehicle without pressing the brakes very hard and even then it was still rolling backward slowly. I quickly put the vehicle in park before the car rolled into my house.
My brakes, abs, front collision, esc light are on and dealership continue to try to fix and no luck. I have take 3 times in the last week with no luck. I need this fixed because I bought for safety features and now I have no vehicle to drive to work.
Vehicle leaked a large amount of transmission fluid because it had loose pump bolts per a GM/Chevy bulletin. The vehicle has shifting problems and vibration issues. The vehicle has done in multiple instances phantom braking. It has happened while parking and while exiting praking spaces and once on the Florida state road 924. Driver was able to maintain control of the wheel and avoid a collision.
On July 16, 2025, with 4,514 miles on the odometer, the dashboard displayed warning messages for “Service ECS” and “Service Brake Assist,” along with illuminated indicators for BRAKE, ABS, and Traction Control. At 4,598 miles, the master cylinder was replaced. However, after installing a new brake master cylinder, power brake booster, and Electronic Brake Control Module, the brakes failed. As a result, an independent certified dealer had to reinstall all components to address the issue.
We drove the car to the store and everything was fine we went in to shop. We came back out and I turned the car on and my dash board had lights on. My brake light will not turn off . My ABS light is on. My forward collision light is on .. I am getting a notice to service ESC, and a separate one saying service brake assist . I ran a onstar diagnostic and it came back everything is good. I have not brought it into the dealership yet for them to look at it I will be calling . I have multiple children and I was so scared my brakes were fulling going to give out on my 20 min drive home. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened we could have hurt someone else on the road and ourselves.
I was driving down the road with my 4 year old son in the back and I went to stop at a stop sign and my car immediately lost brakes, the brakes went down to the floorboard with almost little to no stopping of my car. Then I had 3 warnings on my dashboard I can send pictures of them, my check engine light came on, my abs light came on and my traction control light came on. Very scary and something needs to be done about this
While driving our 2025 Chevrolet Traverse with 9450 miles at 45 MPH, it suddenly came to a complete stop and would not advance. Eventually after restarting the vehicle it would drive again, but the ABS, collision avoidance, traction control, and emergency braking was disabled. We learned that the "master brake cylinder" failed. This requires a repair and the parts are backordered. Furthermore we learned this is a known common issue and there is a service warning for the 2024 Traverse and there is now a class action lawsuit. It apparently is also common on the 2025 traverse. This is a potentially dangerous situation that apparently is common and should prompt an immediate recall and replacement with a new and redesigned part. There are numerous reports of similar incidents and per t

All connected services do not work. The car cannot receive any updates to software/hardware posing potential safety issues. There was no warning. They all just stopped working. The vehicle was brought to the dealer in the beginning of October 2025 and I still do not have a fix or solution or potential timeline.
Beginning in May 2025, my 2025 Chevrolet Traverse began exhibiting a false “rear liftgate open” condition when the liftgate is fully closed. This defect triggers a continuous audible alarm that occurs before every drive and persists for the entire duration of the drive, stopping only when the vehicle is turned off. As a result of this defect, the rear windshield wiper and washer are disabled, eliminating rear visibility during rain and snow. The vehicle alarm system also cannot be armed, creating a security risk. The continuous alarm causes significant driver distraction, and the loss of rear visibility impairs safe operation of the vehicle, particularly in adverse weather. Minor children are frequent passengers, and the defect has occurred while they were in the vehicle. The vehicle ha
A car approached my blind spot and the blind spot detection did not alert. I tried to change lanes assuming the system was functioning and nearly ran someone off the road. Shortly after this the “service blind spot detection light” came on. Following this failure the vehicle telematics went out rendering the paid on star safety system useless. Parts to remedy the issue on indefinite back order per GM on 12/8/25.

Brake booster failure, master brake cylinder failure
Telematic control module failed. vehicle has 7k miles on it and brand new. Still under bumper to bumper warranty. Dealership diagnosed the emergency services /navigation system failure and ordered the part which is on significant backorder to due to nationwide shortage. No eta for repair. This needs to be a recall. dealership not providing suitable and comparable loaner due to not having 3 row available. stating enterprise does not have one. put me on waiting list for suitable loaner. escalated to gm customer care, gm customer care supervisor, gm executive resolution, dealership supervisor with no immediate solution. Onstar telematics control module not working. Dealer says part is in back order. Some vehicle safety features are not available. GPS not available. When my phone is connected via android auto my GPS some times show my location as being in New Jersey while I'm actually in New York and nowhere close to the location shown.
The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, the brakes independently activated. In addition, the driver's seat vibrated, and the instrument panel was illuminated red. The message "Pedestrian Nearby" was displayed. The contact stated that there were no pedestrians nearby. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the week prior to the failure, the vehicle was at the dealer, where the Telematics Control Module was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,926.

The cap to the antennae flew off the car. This could have potentially impacted a car driving behind me, a car passing me, and/or hit a pedestrian walking. There was no warning. The part has since been replaced however the dealer indicated other vehicles are having this issue.

I was in t-boned on the passenger side of my vehicle. All side air bags went off but did not deflate. I had to crawl onto my floor to get out of the vehicle. Also when the emergency collision park kicked in it locked my doors so had I been unconscious I would have been locked in the car.
