I purchased a 2026 Genesis GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige (Certified Pre-Owned) on August 26, 2025, with ~100 miles on the odometer. At around 475 miles, the climate control screen went completely dark, rendering the HVAC and seat heating/cooling systems inaccessible via the center stack. While some touch-sensitive functions remain partially active (e.g., seat heater turned on and could not be turned off; AUTO and SYNC lights blink), no display is visible, making the system unusable. This poses a driver safety hazard—especially in foggy or cold conditions when defrost or rapid cabin adjustments are needed—and causes distraction and discomfort during operation, hot seats in the summer and cannot turn off. The vehicle was dropped off at the dealer (Genesis of Cary, NC) on September 11 and remain
The driver‑side display on my 2026 Genesis GV70 randomly goes black or becomes distorted. This defect is included in Recall No. 26V019. Despite this, Genesis Consumer Affairs and the dealership (Homestead Hyundai/Genesis) refuse to perform the required software update that corrects the issue, claiming the vehicle is “already updated” — a statement that directly contradicts the official Genesis documentation, which I personally obtained. Instead of applying the required software upgrade, the dealership replaced the monitor. The replacement failed in the exact same way, proving the issue is not hardware‑related. When the driver‑side display goes black, I lose critical driving information, creating a clear safety concern. They refuse to update software.
I leased a 2026 Electric GV70 from Genesis in June 2025. In January of 2026, when driving the car I got a warning sign to stop the vehicle and check the battery supply. At that point, the car went into sever power reduction and would only go 20 MPH or so. After 20-30 minutes, the car completely shut down and became inoperable. Luckily, I was near home and was able to get my car home. I had to have the vehicle towed on wheels as it was completely frozen to the dealership. They diagnosed it as a failure of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). They replaced the ICCU but identified other issues that to this day are unresolved and my car is still in the shop. These cars were subject to a recall for ICCU failure but only to model year 2025. These ICCUs are continuing to fail on the 2026
When stopped at a stoplight with my foot on the brake and the transmission in drive (D), after 15-30 seconds, the transmission shifts into park and the engine starts. (the autostart was in the default position). This has occurred repeatedly. The the autostart button is pressed and the light is on, the transmission reacts normally. I have a video but it is larger than 10MB
Hyundai/Genesis 2026 GV70 2.5T Advanced. Drivers side instrument cluster goes blank/black, dangerous. Contacted Genesis Customer Care, doesn't know how to fix my model/trim. Representative, hung up on me. Dealer: Homestead Hyundai/Genesis doesn't have tools to fix the problem..
Got a "power limited, check electrical system" warning when starting the car. Towed it to the dealership and they told me the ICCU failed and it needs to be replaced. It has been over 5 weeks and still waiting for the part to be back in stock.
The contact owns a 2026 Genesis GV70. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35-40 MPH after charging the vehicle, an unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle automatically called Genesis Connected Services, which advised the contact to tow the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The Mobile App displayed Diagnostic Trouble Codes: P1AA700 and P1AAF00 for the electric battery management system. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was determined that the battery management system needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the repair was pending approval. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,889.
Tried to start the car and got a several warnings of "turn off vehicle and check EV system" and "power limited". This is similar to the ICCU failure issue other people have reported.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Office of Defects Investigation 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE Washington, DC 20590 Subject: Safety Defect Complaint – Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) Failure Vehicle: 2026 Genesis GV70 Electrified (EV) VIN: [XXX] To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report a safety-related failure involving my 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70, which experienced a sudden “Check Electric Vehicle System” warning consistent with a failure of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). Incident Summary On February 5, 2026, at approximately 4,480 miles, the vehicle displayed a “Check Electric Vehicle System” alert and was no longer safe to operate. Due to the risk of propulsion loss and electrical system malfunction, the v
The Instrument Cluster Screen went blank (OFF) while driving 65mph on the freeway. The vehicle mechanically kept functioning. I had no gages. The system began to reboot within a few seconds as I was attempting to pull over to the shoulder of the freeway. My vehicle continued to function normally so I drove home. My wife was very startled and shaken. This happened again so I took vehicle to the dealership service dept. where they performed a diagnostic test finding “ technical glitches” as I was told. They ordered a new screen. I drove off with my car until a new screen arrived two weeks later. The screen again went blank on the city streets a day or so before the new screen arrived. I only drove my car as necessary while my wife refused to do so and never had other passengers. I surrender

while driving the vehicle, the driver's seat moves to the furthest position, away from the steering wheel and pedals. The memory position or forward/back control does not work consistently to put the seat in a more comfortable seating position. This is a random occurrence that can happen several times a day everyday or once or twice every other month. It is unsafe during taking off from a light, as the seat moves back I can barely reach the accelerator. During braking, it's harder to apply pressure to the brake pedal. Also, my mirrors are harder to use because of the different seat position. I have an appointment coming up but it will have been well over a month since I told the service department. I have some video of the controls not working after the seat has moved back, but it
2026 GV70, rattle onset at exactly 50 mph. Aero-induced (not road-surface dependent) Local dealer service department confirmed the same rattle on two other 2026 GV70s on the lot.
Without any warning, on March 15, 2026, I turned out of a parking lot onto a major road and I noticed it wouldn't accelerate above 20 mph, so I pulled off the road. I tried again and my vehicle still failed to accelerate. And on my third attempt, my vehicle decelerated and was about to completely stall. I managed to turn into a parking lot and avoid getting rear ended. However, this could have been a fatal event. While I was trying to accelerate, the vehicle was quiet as if the car wasn't even running. After shutting the engine off for awhile, I was able to drive the vehicle with caution. I reached out to two Genesis service departments regarding my vehicle failing to accelerate while driving and neither had heard any previous complaints, and the earliest appointment would be mid Ap

While driving on the highway, the car shut down with no warning messages and gas fumes filled the interior of the car. I was not able to move over to a completely safe spot on the road because the car shut down so quickly. I was not able to put the windows down as there was no power to the car and unable to exit the car because I was not in a safe spot on the highway. I had to remain in the closed car inhaling the gas fumes. I called 911 and they had me sit in the sheriffs car until a tow truck came to keep me out of the fumes. The car was towed to the dealership, it had 53 miles on it. This event was extremely dangerous. It is currently at the service department of the dealership for repairs.
I have not had no incident yet but my 2026 Genesis GV70 3.5 UNINTENDED ACCELERATION BY ITSELF. WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE ACCELERATE BY ITSELF. WHILE COASTING THE VEHCLE ACCELERATE, i ALMOST HIT THE GARAGE DOOR. A recall should be called on all 26 model GV SERIES. This should be looked at before someone gets injured. The service advisor informed me all 26 GV MODELS DOES THAT. Thank YOU FOR YOUR TIME. Mr. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On XXX while driving at approximately 5mph in a parking lot my Genesis GV70 shifted from Drive to Park by itself causing the car and my wife and I to lurch forward and come to a stop! The car would not come out of Park and a warning came up after the fact saying to contact immediate service. My wife and I were in the car and there were no injuries. If this occurred at a higher rate of speed on a busy highway I cannot imagine what would have happened. I immediately called Genesis Road Assistance for a tow. The car was towed by flat bed to the dealer in [XXX], where I purchased the car, approximately 10 miles away where it sits today waiting for service. My wife and I are afraid to drive this car ever again as it is brand new with only 250 miles on the odometer. *No warnings of any kind pr

On [XXX], the vehicle was started and there were no brakes, the pedal went down to the floor. The car was turned off, restarted and again there were no brakes. The third time the car was restarted, the pedal went to the floor and then the brake pedal came back up with pressure in the brake lines. The vehicle displayed the warning "check brake system". The car was not driven. The next day, [XXX], a wrecker arrived to tow the car to Bergstrom Genesis, the car was started and again had no brakes. We were told that it was software problem and were given the vehicle back on 12/10/25. On [XXX], while driving the vehicle, the "check engine" light was displayed. The vehicle was picked up by Bergstrom Genesis and the dealership has had the vehicle since 12/11/25 to make sure the brakes don't
