Takata recall: about two years ago I received a recall notice from Ford. No remedy to date and calls to the local dealer are not fruitful. Yesterday I got a safety recall that said "remedy parts" would be available in spring 2018 and until then I should not use the front passenger seat. Now the car is less usable for my family and it cannot be sold. I expect a better remedy than "don't use our product" until we can repair it. I suggest that every owner affected should be given a loaner car until their car is repaired and safe to use. Too many years have gone by. Ford is just stonewalling the problem and should be held accountable today.

Has there been any complaints on the door handles breaking? I just had to have the drivers replaced. It broke would not open from the inside and would not lock. The back seat handles are about to break. Need some feedback on this. It is not cheap to fix the handles.
While drive my 2006 Ford fusion the driver's side lumbar support broke. This caused me to immediately drop back in my seat and was very distracting.

Brake pedal, sometimes, would give, at times going to floor stop, while slowing and or turning on rough intersection areas and exits. My wife told me about this for ~6 months. When I would test drive the fusion, the brakes worked fine. The fusion was repaired at bolton Ford, lake charles, la. On aug. 16, 2016 (97,750 mls.) which entailed changing the mastercylinder and fluid flush. Trouble shooting the issue, I replaced all the brake pads and checked for leaks, fluid level, all looked normal. Next my local auto repair shop, checked brakes, for my wife said problem still there. Then to Ford dealership.
2006 Ford fusion. ABS engaged when having to brake suddenly on ice. The brake pedal went all the way to the floor and was soft after that, going almost to the floor before brakes would engage. Took the car to the nearest Ford garage and was told the hcu was probably out and would cost $2000 to fix it. I told them I needed to think about it. They called back later and said they bled the brakes and that fixed the problem so no repair was done. The brakes did the same thing a few months later when braking hard to avoid hitting a car which had pulled out in front of me. After reading comments online, I fixed the issue by driving at 25 MPH in a parking lot and then slamming on the brakes. The brakes work normally after that. I'm sure this is only a temporary fix and I know the model years 2007

Since we've owned our 2006 Ford fusion we have had to replace the door handle for the passenger and both back passenger seats multiple times. Once these handles fail (randomly with no warning) they cannot be operated from the inside. This requires getting someone to open the door from the outside. We fear that in an accident we might become trapped. It's my understanding that I'm not alone with this issue with our 2006 fusion, but Ford has yet to recall these obviously defective parts. *tr
