The air filter covers on my h2 get hot and start deforming "ripples" in the plastic. The plastic molding between them where the wipers go through deforming also. I have replaced 4 air filter covers in under 6,000 miles. And 1 wiper molding. I am not sure of the consequences. Hummer says it's no problem. I have 1 of the air filter covers that has failed in my possession. According to gm/Hummer there is no problem. They will just keep replacing them. *tr

Check engine light came on and wouldn't go out. Took it to the garage and they pulled up the code po442, EVAP leak. They did a smoke test and found out the fuel pump unit was all rusted out and also the straps holding the fuel tank in was all rusted out. One of the straps was completely broken off and only one was holding the tank but it was all rusted. Called a dealer because this part should have an 80,000 mile warranty but they said it was under powertrain and it wouldn't be covered. How could this be powertrain when it was an emissions issue. This is a very unsafe issue. It probably could of caught on fire. The vehicle is only a 2006 with 65000 miles on it so how could this happen. *tr

At first the washers just kept spraying and wouldn't stop. I had to take out the fuse to get it to stop. I recently put the fuse back in and now it won't work. The washers will just start spraying out of the blue and this is very dangerous if you are driving down the road and you can't get it to stop. It decreases your visibility. I have read that they have had recalls on this issue. It sounds like they have alot of electrical issues. Also the heating unit on my driver seat randomly comes on by itself and won't shut off. I bought this Hummer used and never had any issues until recently. I haven't received any recall notices but I wonder if I should of. This is dangerous issues. *tr

Steering is very sloppy and vague at higher speeds. There is too much non active movement to correct direction. I have to move the steering wheel at least 6 inches constantly to even keep the truck straight. I hear gm has weak pitman arms etc.. Also the steering judders and vibrates and sometimes it gets stuck and goes when colder usually. Sometimes brakes are strong, sometimes they are wooden and lack grip almost resulting in an accident. I keep much distance to the other cars so I did not crash. But I get a scared sensation when controls don't work correctly. *tr

I purchased a 2006 Hummer h2 at cerritos Hummer. I currently have almost 55,000 miles. Today I was parking my car and noticed the steering was extremely hard to turn. Also the brakes were really weak. I used all the energy I had to get into a gas station driveway. I drove about 1 block because I needed gas where I noticed oil dropping under the car. I checked under the hood and the oil was coming out near the power steering pump. I opened the power steering reservoir and saw that there was very little oil because it had dropped under my car. My steering is too hard to turn and the brakes are almost non existent pulling into the gas station. I called cerritos Hummer and talked to their service manager and he said I was past warranty. I told him that there was a recall on this exac

The other day I took a ride in my truck and upon driving approximately two blocks from my home the steering control of the car totally failed. Imagine driving your car and at some point, you lose the capability of controlling your cars direction while holding your steering wheel. One can only imagine if I was going 65 miles an hour and driving on a highway then losing the ability to turn your wheels. I am blessed this malfunction happened when I was only traveling 10 miles an hour. After calling a tow truck and having my car towed to a local repair shop, it was determined the control arm bolt had broken off therefore losing total control of the cars steering capability. This is unheard of and something like this should never happen at all during normal use. With all of this I cont
