The driver sustained bruises to the breast, collar bone and neck and sought medical attention. The police reported to the scene and a report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a junk yard. The manufacturer was made aware of the crash and sent an engineer to inspect the vehicle. The engineer determined that the crash did not meet the specifications for air bags deployment and stated to the contact that there was no defect found within the air bags or the driver's side seat belt. Air bags deployed, the drivers side deployed while closing the door vehicle not moving, the steering wheel airbag & the dash airbag deployed while the vehicle was in motion, on rural road, it was a short distance from my house so after the bags blew, I drove the vehicle back to the house, no police were involved. Did not have collision insurance on the vehicle, I called Nissan and they said there was no recall on the airbags at that time, since there is a recall I asked Nissan to replace the blown airbags and they refused, said it was not their fault. The passenger side airbag did not deploy, and I was told that is the only one on recall, what can if anything I do? Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Nissan sentra. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle stalled. The contact mentioned that the engine warning lamp was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The technician diagnosed that the ECM sensor needed to be reset. The failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the speed sensor circuit, the crankshaft and the cam shaft sensor. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle had previously been repaired under NHTSA campaign id number: 07v527000 (engine and engine cooling). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 81,000 and the current mileage was 86,000.

I leased a new Nissan sentra in march '06. In november of '06 I moved and started parking downhill. It has leaked ever since into the driver side floor. The service department at the dealership have tried to fix the problem now for 8 weeks and it continues to leak. The manufacturer and dealer continue to tell me they are still trying to find the problem. *jb
The lining in the trunk is decomposing creating an odor that is smelled in the driver/passenger compartment of the car. I as the only driver have been diagnosed with xylene exposure. This is the most likely and probably only source of xylene in my life.

2006 Nissan sentra has been getting progressively harder to start after it warms up and then is shut down. Happens daily. Took to Nissan dealer 3 times. They state the problem is a known issue and some models were recalled but not ours. Nissan has known about this for some time. See service bulletin ntb05-52a. They want us to pay $600.00 to repair an obvious defect recalled on other models.we have owned this car since new and maintained all service required. *tr

My auto slipped from park to drive sunday morning, december 16, 2007 with no warning. We had a terrible snow storm and I had my car in park while clearing the windshield and it slipped from park to drive. This has happened before while driving where it will slip from drive to neutral. My locks also locked as soon as I shut my doors after started my auto. I have power locks and the doors should not have locked with the key in the ignition. I was locked out of my car for over an hour until I could get a tow truck to my home to open my car. *tr

The contact was unable to shift into reverse and heard a grinding noise when shifting. The dealer stated that the shifter was too tight and they loosened the shifter on two occasions; however, the failure continued. The dealer stated that the transmission shifter caused the failure. As of december 10, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 93 and current mileage was 12,998. The manual lock down leaver for the steering wheel does not hold the steering wheel in place ,this allows the steering wheel to come loose while driving which makes it almost impossible to control the steering of the car I have almost ran into other cars while driving on highways and streets.

Above about 35 or 42f the air cond runs if the air selector is positioned on any selection that includes defrost, and the only way to turn this off is to turn the air selector to a position that does not contain defrost, pull over, stop the vehicle, turn the ignition off, then restart the vehicle. I am not mistaken, I am positive of this. This is not green, the air is often running all day wasting gas mileage putting more pollution in the air. Heater must be turned on to compensate for the cooling effect of the air conditioner. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 Nissan sentra. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact heard a loud roaring noise coming from the front of the vehicle. He took the vehicle to a local mechanic to have the tires rotated, but he immediately heard the noise again. He then took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the front driver side wheel bearings and hubs; however, they refused to repair the vehicle for free because his warranty expired. The contact filed a complaint with the manufacturer. The purchase date was unknown. The failure mileage was 59,000 and current mileage was 61,855.
