Takata recall! Thank god, nothing has happened, however, I am writing in complaint about the slowness of getting the airbags replaced/fixed in my vehicle in regards to the recall. Every time I get into my car, I fear that something will make the airbag(s) deploy which will injure or kill either my 2 year old daughter or myself, or both of us. I am a single parent and cannot at this time afford to buy another vehicle that does not have this issue. I called and spoke with an agency representative at least two months ago. This person really did not offer any thing to my inquiry, only that that things were being expedited and I should check with my local Toyota dealer. While I do understand there are logistics to resolving this issue, that takata officials dragged their feet, that the "powers

NHTSA recall number: 15v285 please be advised that jack taylor's alexandria Toyota, located on 750 jefferson davis hwy, alexandria, va 22305, has failed to replace and remedy the front passenger air bag inflators for my 2006 Toyota corolla and misled me regarding the availability of said part associated with Toyota's safety recall. The first initial appointment made on november 3, 2016 was scheduled for november 11, 2016. After waiting six hours at the dealership, I was informed that the dealership did not have the parts for my vehicle. Consequently, I was advised by service consultant gerald gerdes (hereafter 'jerry') that the part would arrive at jack taylor's in roughly estimated four to six weeks. (see attachment titled 'e-mail appointment confirmation 1'). Thereafter, I con

NHTSA recall number: 15v285 air bag inflator recall - the interim recall has been provided more than six months ago. There has been no communications on this since and there is no indication as to when the repairs will be started or completed. The interim recall suggests to not have any passengers. That is absolutely a ridiculous proposition for people that do not have any other choice - unless Toyota is willing to provide rentals of the same caliber car without this defect so that families can travel in peace. The suggestion to not have the passenger there is flawed given that if there will be metal shards in case of an accident those shards could also effect the driver as well as anyone sitting in the back of the vehicle. This deems the entire vehicle non-operable. I was assuming that

Told the work could not be done. No parts! How could they co0nfirm an appointment weeks ago and not order the parts? Now I shall ignore the recall notice. Shouldn't government go after dealership failures to do the required recall?????

The fuel pump assembly is mounted in the top of the fuel tank , hanging down submerged in the gas. One of the power wires from the pump assy. Going to the electrical connector at the top mounting plate of the pump, was badly burned and melted causing the pump not to work when it warmed up along with this electrical connector. Remember this is inside the fuel tank. This could have created a serious explosion ! Toyota issued a recall for "ECM" (electronic control module) problems associated with stalling engine, sudden loss of power and engine cranks and will not start. I think some of the "ECM " problems could have been mis-diagnosed and were this burnt wire and connector from the fuel pump. On top of that this repair cost me approx. $1500.00 but maybe it saved my life. For safety reasons

This about a tire called riken raptor's. I now have had this happen twice where the top part of the tire comes off the side walls, it happened in august as well. The tires were perfectly fine as far as air goes as I maintain my car. But for a 2nd one to have happened to me tells me there is a problem and I would hope someone would look into this. I found a thread via goggle that had many of the exact same issue on these tires. Michilen is the mfg of them and they just tell people its a case of to little air. How would they know 1st of all and I do know it was inflated correctly. I tried calling the retailer but got no where so trying here so as no one else gets hurt from these tires. I was lucky only a fender liner and minor body damage after it blew of at 65mph. *tr
