I sure you seen this one before. The fuel gauge is stuck on empty. Warning light on. Check engine on. *tr

Have noticed hesitation when xsmn shifting from 2nd to 3rd and also a knock. Once vehicle finally gets into high everything seems fine, but takes longer than normally expected to accelerate. Problem gets even worse when pulling a small trailer or boat. *tr

moderate NHTSA 09V309000 July 29, 2009

Gm is recalling 1,880 model year 2007 Chevrolet kodiak and t-series, GMC topkick and t-series, and isuzu f-series and h-series passenger vehicles equipped with 7

If the driver ignores these warnings and continues to drive the vehicle, and if there was a continued loss of pressure, the rear spring parking brakes would automatically apply, preventing the truck from being driven.

Fix: Dealers will inspect the air compressor for its ability to build air pressure, and either modify the air compressor by elimination of the suppression valve or replace the air compressor assembly free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during august 2009. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, GMC at 1-866-996-9463, isuzu at 1-800-255-6727 or at www.gmownercenter.com.
moderate NHTSA 07V190000 May 2, 2007

On certain medium duty conventional and tilt cab trucks equipped with 7

If this condition were to occur while the vehicle was stationary (brakes applied) the air brakes would remain applied and prevent the vehicle from moving. If this condition were to occur while the vehicle was in motion, the dual system air pressure gauges would register the drop in pressure. If the pressure continued to drop, the low air pressure warning buzzer and warning lamp would activate as designed, warning the driver to move the vehicle to a safety location. If the driver ignores these warnings and continues to drive the vehicle, and if there was a continued loss of pressure, the rear spring parking brakes would automatically apply, preventing the truck from being driven.

Fix: Dealers will replace the air compressor head. The recall began on may 23, 2007. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, GMC at 1-866-996-9463, or isuzu at 1-800-255-6727.

Common questions

Is the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series reliable?

Limited NHTSA data. Only 2 owner complaints have been filed for the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series, which is not enough for a meaningful reliability score. Active recalls (if any) are listed on this page and remain authoritative — those are verified defects regardless of complaint volume. For a confident reliability read we look for at least 10 owner complaints in the federal database.

Should you avoid the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series?

Only 2 NHTSA complaints on file — too few for a confident call. The 2 active recalls above remain authoritative; read those first. We don't issue a buy/avoid verdict on the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series without a meaningful complaint sample — doing so off a handful of filings would be guesswork.

What should I check before buying a used 2007 Chevrolet T-Series?

There isn't enough NHTSA complaint data on the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series to flag a standout failure pattern. Run the VIN for open recalls — those are free to fix regardless of warranty — get a standard pre-purchase inspection, and ask the seller for service records.

Is the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series a good used car to buy?

Hard to say from federal data alone — only 2 owner complaints have been filed. Lean on the recall list above, a pre-purchase inspection, and a vehicle-history report on the specific VIN. Our data tells you what the model is known for; a history report tells you what that exact car has been through.

What's the most common problem on the 2007 Chevrolet T-Series?

No problem area has crossed our reporting threshold yet, which is a good sign for this vehicle.

What's the most expensive thing that goes wrong?

Major repair items haven't been flagged often enough on this vehicle to single one out.

How do I check if my Chevrolet T-Series has open recalls?

Paste your VIN into the decoder at the top of this page. We pull live from NHTSA, so you'll see exactly which campaigns apply to your vehicle and whether the dealer has logged the fix. Recall repairs are always free regardless of mileage or warranty status.

Is an extended warranty worth it on a 2007 Chevrolet T-Series?

Hard to say from NHTSA data alone with only 2 complaints on file. A quality service contract runs $1,800–3,500 over 3 years. The decision comes down to your specific situation: vehicle cost, miles on it, how long you plan to keep it, and whether you can absorb a $3K–$8K repair without straining cashflow. With limited public data on this vehicle, lean on the recall list above and check owner forums before committing.
