2007 Chrysler Sebring owner complaints

Throttle body went bad which was very dangerous as my son was driving car and it suddenly lost power and my son was nearly hit by another car. The plastic gears in this part should be recalled and fixed before there is a large lawsuit against Dodge/Chrysler for a poorly designed part that should not be put into vehicles!

I purchased my car used 3 yrs ago. I paid if off this year. The ongoing troublesome issue is that the car stalls out unexpectedly- usually during wet weather. It has happened about 5 times or so. But, it has almost happened many more times...the car sputters and just about stalls out. Again, all during wet weather. I contacted the dealership where I purchased car after the 1st incident. They took the car and said I needed a new battery ; that it was being drained when I had wipers, heat, radio etc all on at once and that was why it stalled. I went with it. Takata recall I am driving down highway at 70 MPH and car just shuts off no warning cant steer it and brakes dont work could of killed me and the kids

This is a recall item for models right around the same time as my sebring was built, I have called chry but they will not take responsibility. The air bag light stays on!! My air bag clock spring failed and my air bag warning light illuminated. I'm told by the dealer that my air bag will now not work, and my cruise control & steering wheel horn . This is a serious safety issue & I need to get it repaired quickly but at a cost of over $220, I can not afford . This should be paid for by daimler Chrysler!. *tr

I was s/b on I-75 in kentucky at approximately the 56 mp when I fell asleep. The front end struck the end of a guard rail and then the car swung around, slid sideways, and rolled over stopping on it's left side. No air bags deployed. The vehicle had both front and side air bags. The kentucky state police, post 11, took the report and the mount vernon, ky fire department got us out. No was injured thanks to seat belts but the air bags should have deployed. The fire department was concerned that the side air bags would deploy when they used the 'jaws' to cut the side posts but this did not happen either. *tr

The illumination of the instrument panel cluster board has went out. It kept flickering on and off, but now it stays off. I can not drive the car at night because I can not see the speedometer. *tr

Passenger airbag light stays on and dashboard cluster does not light up, both are dangerous and should not be ignored.

Purchased 2007 sebring base model one month ago. Had dealership complete all recalls before purchase. Tail lights attached to the upper portion of the truck flooded/filled with water anytime there was rain and when you open the trunk it dumps the water on your head. All 3 break light seals were replaced and plugs removed to allow better drainage - issue resolved. Emergency break light intermittently illuminates while driving - emerg break is off and new breaks installed issue still unresolved. Delayed auto off headlights did not shut off. Returned to vehicle 2 hours later with daytime running lights still on and since they are automatic there is no way to turn them off. I was told it's electrical problem and the car doesn't go over 20 miles and it says that it's the intake also says it's the muffler and sensors and other things which I have had check and it neither.and sometimes it pushes back or is stalls and just turns off in the middle of the intersection.

My 2007 Chrysler sebring (38000 miles) had a complete burn through on the fabric of the front drivers seat while the heated seat function was turned on. The burn through was about 12 inches long on the vertical back part of the seat. This could have burned me or (shocked me?). Shouldn't there have been a fuse that would have blown or some other safety feature to keep this heating element from continuing to burn through? I called my local Chrysler dealership and since my warranty ran out in april, they wouldn't even look at the car unless I gave them $89.00. This incident happened on 12/23/10. I purchased the vehicle in may of 2007 and within the first few months the car stopped for no apparent reason while driving on 3 separate occasions. The incidents startled me greatly that I requested to receive a new car. The dealership refused and had someone fly in from los angeles, ca to fix. Now after 5 years the car is doing same thing. I presented this safety issue to the manager of the dealership by the name of [xxx]. [xxx] proceeded to tell me that since I did not use him for my servicing that he would not assist me. He flatly told me how could he help me when he didn't make any money off of me. I've been told by other people with this same vehicle that they had the same problem of stopping without any notice. This is dangerous and can cause death or a terrible accident.

My airbag light comes on intermittently. Sometimes it blinks off and on a few minutes at a time as I drive for as long as I'm driving. Other times, it will stay on for 30 minutes or so continuously, then stay off. Or, I can go days without it coming on. I'm afraid it's going to either deploy for no reason while I'm driving and cause an accident, or not deploy if do have an accident. My brake lights come on almost every time I stop at a light.
