The vehicle has experienced repeated and ongoing electrical system failures, including chronic battery drain that causes the vehicle to fail to start, erratic HVAC operation where controls do not function as intended, and persistent water intrusion into the doors and interior areas. The HVAC malfunction has resulted in the inability to properly defrost or defog the windshield while driving, significantly impairing visibility and creating an immediate safety hazard. These issues appear consistent with failure or corrosion of the Smart Junction Box (SJB) or related electrical control components. Replacement Smart Junction Boxes are unavailable through both Ford and aftermarket sources, preventing proper repair of the defect. The electrical instability and water intrusion present a risk of su
Car was parked in my driveway and after a rain storm I noticed the passenger floor was soaked with water. Water leaks in from the cabin air filter and drips onto the fuse junction box on the passenger side of the car. When drain holes in cowl gets clogged water builds up and then pours in the cabin filter then into passenger side flooding carpet. As water drips down it makes contact with the f j b and starts to mess with the electrical parts, ie power windows go up and down by themselves, dash light won't shut off, radio will not turn off and convertible roof keeps trying to go up and down. Only fix is to replace and reprogram the fjb but Ford no longer makes this part because of the known issues. I am told either to wait for replacement unit to be developed or buy a used one and hope I

She took the vehicle to the dealership on three occasions and the vehicle was sealed with silicone, and the carpets and windshield were replaced twice. The sealants around the window, the firewall, the rear well, passenger door trim panel and many other parts of the vehicle were common places of water intrusion. While executing a left turn across a six-lane intersection, I noticed another vehicle approaching the left side of my vehicle at a speed of at least double the limit. I accelerated hard to get out of the way. The throttle "stuck" for an estimated two to three seconds which caused loss of control and impact with a foot high curb at the far side of the intersection. Damage to my car was over $8,000.00. There have been no repeat episodes to this date. *tr

On my 2007 mustang gt. The lower ball joint on left side would not pass pa state inspection @ 16,700 miles and right side went bad and would not pass inspection at @ 29,800 miles. The inspections were done at a Ford dealer. Each time the cost is over $500.00. Ford did split the cost after I complained about the first issue. I have checked a few mustang sites and have found out others have had the same issues with cars 2005-06-07 and 08 mustangs. *tr
