Several occasions, I have had incidents with the ignition switch on my vehicle. I purchased it new, and the maker claims no problem with my particular vehicle, but it has kept the motor from running at times, and engine starter will engage with switch only in the "on" position, without turning to start. That's scary. Vehicle never did any of this while under warranty,(of course), but given the maker's track record with ignition switches, this certainly has me concerned. *js

I have a 2007 GMC canyon pickup and recently the rear brakes have excessive grab, aggressive drag, and the rear drums lock up cautioning an unsafe condition. After the vehicle has set for a while, during the first few stops or before you get heat built up in the brakes, it feels as though the brakes are grabbing excessively. In addition, the tires chirp and/or leave skip marks during braking. The condition is very unsettling to the driver and I believe the excessive brake grab could cause an accident. I have searched technical bulletins and found the following gm service bulletin (07-05-24-001b). I have contacted my dealer that I bought the truck from and they have indicated it is not under a safety recall and the repair is going to cost $240. I believe this condition warrants a reca

I took my truck in to the dealer because the rear brakes would stick the when depressed and released doing normal stop and go in my neighborhood at intersections with stop signs. The deal service advisor informed me that there was a service bulletin on my rear brakes. The did the repairs as stated in the service bulletin and that I would not have a problem with my brakes. I told the service advisor at the dealership that in order for the proper repairs done that both sides if my rear axle brakes should have new parts installed, not just one side. On the day of june 20th 2011 with only 25277 miles on my 2007 GMC canyon the brakes started to stick and squeal again just like when I had the first work done as stated in the first service bulletin. Now the service advisor informs that I must pay

Vehicle cranks but does not start. Security light flashing. After 10 minutes with key on and security light off after turning off then crank engine starts. Happened at least 15 times. Now, engine sometimes will crank itself in the "on" position and will not start and security light flashing. Happened three times and finally after three 10 minute key on wait cycles in a dark parking lot security light stopped flashing and started and made it home. Vehicle very unreliable now. I am tired of having a vehicle that thinks the owner is trying to steal owned vehicle. And auto crank in the on - not start- position without running. How do I bypass this awful system without another car payment to another automaker? This defect is dangerous and hazardous when stopping for fuel and have to

To whom it may concern, I purchased my 2007 GMC canyon in february 2007 with trailer harness as standard equipment at fresard GMC. I actually almost caused an accident due to all my brake lights not working. I called GMC to report this incident due to internet research on recall for brake light failure. The rep tried to deny recall but I explained to her about recall. She located closest dealer which was red holman GMC for recall on brake light failure but they are trying to charge me $300 for new trailer harness plus additional labor cost. The dealership is stating that water got into my trailer harness which caused all the lights to stop working. I have not used the trailer and learned it was incorrectly installed at the factory. Can you please assist me with this problem because
