While I was driving the stabilitrak off light flashed on the dashboard, including the traction control off. This has shut down my car on the highway several times since 2016. When I took it to the dealership, it would reset itself and the codes would go away temporarily. The dealership recommended to change the engine control module and cables. I had to get towed off the highway as this happens so randomly. The repair shop says that it is a mystery to them as they have called their GMC specialty technicians for advice. Finally, I went online and started a forum to see if anyone else is having these issues that no one can seem to fix. This is a known issue several similar stories 'car forums/ GMC/ GMC envoy xl". I am surprised this is not a recall and should be immediately. Changed sensors
Takata recall: can you give me any insight on when GMC recall 49151, passenger side airbag, will be resolved? I received the notice on august 08, 2016. When I received the notice I inquired with my dealer as to the possible completion date, but he laughed and informed me he had no idea of what I was even talking about. I have a 2007 GMC yukon, on the recall list. I'm afraid to drive the truck since being notified, and will most certainly not ride anyone in the passenger seat. So, I have a vehicle in my garage that has, for the most part, not been used since I received the notice on august 08, 2016. Any information you can provide about the pending resolution to this recall will be appreciated. Hasn't this gone long enough. Regards, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to th
As I was walking to my truck, I hit the button (as I have always done) to unlock the door, the passenger side airbag exploded and crashed the windshield

Vehicle gets extremely low gas, 13 MPG on average. Burns oil . Need to add 2-3 quarts of oil between oil changes. Engine cooling fan stays on for extended periods while driving. All of which the dealership says is normal for the truck. They removed the driveshaft because of clunking at 25k mi. Reaction carrier replaced and transmission reconditioned at 36,663 mi after car stopped in the middle of the street. Car had to be towed in. At 62k miles engine light on and idles rough. Replaced throttle body. At 67k won't engage in reverse and makes clunking sound from reverse to drive. Replaced reverse housing, reaction shell, etc. At 75k had a reaction carrier failure, lost power brakes and lost power to the car. Almost was rear ended. Had to stop in middle of parking lot during christmas rush.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 GMC yukon. Within the first week of purchasing the vehicle, the rear hatch light began illuminating. This caused the emergency lights to illuminate, the door ajar alarm to sound, and disabled all of the buttons on the remote and instrument panel. The vehicle had to be accessed manually. First, the computer codes were reset, but this did not correct the failure. The dealer stated that there was wiring failure and replaced the wiring; however, the failure continued. Finally, the entire hatch was replaced and there had been no further occurrences. On november 6, 2007, the stable track was not driving properly and the driver's seat made a crunching noise whenever it was moved. The dealer cleared the electronic codes again and damaged the interior of the vehic
Interior dashboard. Cracked in two places 1.) top left corner of passenger airbag panel 2.) center of gauge dome starting form vent vanes cracked up to nearly top of the gauge dome. This condition started 2018 and has progressively worsened in length. The vehicle has been garage kept its entire ownership. I researched and found that many other owners are e experiencing this same cracking issues in the same location.
Have a yukon and the dash board is cracked at both sides of airbag on passenger side and above the gauge cluster.the plastic is very brittle and my concerns is if there was ever a car wreck and the airbags deployed it would send plastic projectiles throughout vehicle which the vehicle is used to carry my 1 and 2 year old children daily.I feel this should be a defect or a recall considering almost all these vehicles all crack in the same spot I feel it was a poor design by GMC and at over 1000 dollars to have it fixed is just crazy . Thanks for your time

I took my daughter to volleyball practice and when I stopped at a red light the car was accelerating even though I had my foot on the brake pedal and it moved on a jumping mode to the front. I got so scared. The car moved forward we could have been involved on an accident on an intersection or hit the car in front of us. As that happened I noticed in dashboard the rmp counter was moving up as if it was were accelerating. It was pretty scary my kids and I don't feel safe to ride on the only car we own. I had a mechanic tell me I should take it to the dealer because it's a safety hazard. That it seem to him as a throttle system failure and it was very dangerous. When I turn vehicle on it happens too. *js
