2007 Honda CR-V owner complaints

My Honda cr-v 2007 just started to have problem with the door lock/unlock system. I started to notice the problem probably in november 2013. The car locking default set-up was at 15mph (meaning even if I forget to lock the doors, they will be locked when the car reach 15mph). However, one of the door just unlock all by itself right-after it get locked. This is a huge safety concern if you have kids in your car. I realized many cr-v owners have the same problem, but Honda decided not to do anything about it. *tr

Passenger side door lock will not stay locked! And the other three doors lock seconds after unlocking them with remote? *dt

All car locks make a loud noise when unlocking/locking. Only driver side door will stay unlocked when you unlock. Others will typically lock in 1-2 seconds making it a pain to allow someone into the vehicle. Driver side lock switch was replaced under warranty at 9,197 miles. Problem resurfaced 3 or 4 years ago, but we;ve just been tolerating it since we didn't want to spend the money on 8 year old car with 150k miles. No we learn there was a class action lawsuit, but we were never notified? Should have been repaired under class action lawsuit. I disabled the auto door lock/unlock when going over 10 miles/hour and when placed in park to reduce the nuisance noise.

2007 crv purchased new. 198,000. Car has been failing to furn over intermittently for a couple of months on first try. All lights on dashboard light up, but only a low wurring noise. Turn key back, wait a second or two and it starts right up. Today, when I started the car the check engine light was on. After driving for about 3 - 4 miles, both the vsa light and the trangle light came on and the car started bucking and driving very roughly. Conituned until I could safely pull over. Turned car off and then back on. The vsa nad triangle lights went off and the car returned to driving normally for the remainder of my commute (~8 miles). Parked car for 10 hours. When starting again, the exact same scenario occured except the vsa and triangle lights came on after about 2/10's of a mile. Pulled

I made the decision to buy this car for safety reasons. Now I can lose my key at anytime or leave me stranded bc the fob encasing is weak and they know this because the service manager at the dealership in my town felt bad and took pity on me and "replaced" the casing for me twice now and 'only' charged me $40 each time. The door intermittently locks me out or comes on and off. I went to have it repaired and I can't afford the $300 just to see if it'll work. Now - I live in a high humidity area and no recall for our airbags. I have a child that rides with me regularly and it's like playing roulette. Thanks Honda. Both passenger side door locks are malfunctioning. They make a very loud noise when attempting to lock/unlock. More importantly, they will only stay unlocked for a brief moment before moving back to the locked position. Manually maneuvering the lock is next to impossible, which creates a big safety hazard of the vehicle potentially locking passengers inside with no means of opening the doors. *tr

Back door will not lock. It seems thats the latch is not holding even when lock. With little force I can open the door when it suppose to be lock. Door will also become unlock by the bump force of speed bumbs. The car has low miliegae and never been in a crash. I feel that the locking components should last much longer than 83k miles. It seems that other consumers have the same problem but Honda is doing nothing about it. Someone get this going and put a recall in order. *js

The mechanics of the door locks have become progressively worse beginning first with the front passenger door and then spreading to the right side rear passenger door, driver door, and rear hatch. All of the doors randomly lock and unlock and make a loud rattling sound while doing so. The right side rear door no longer unlocks from the outside. The rear hatch only opens 5% of the time we attempt to open it (which is a nightmare when it is full of luggage or groceries). The doors will not unlock manually with a key... Only the fob key. I have seen numerous complaints online addressing this problem and am shocked that it has not been addressed by Honda. It is a major safety hazard. *tr

Passenger door locks less than a second after being unlocked, making it difficult to exit the vehicle. *tr

Took car to Honda in merriville indiana for maintenance, was told the steering rack needed to be replaced and that it was leaking so badly it was gushing out. I didn't notice anything wrong with the steering, while I was driving the car, that would have made me ask Honda to take a look at it. *tr

After putting the vehicle in to park, the button on the gear shift will not push in again to allow movement of the gear shift again. In addition, the key will not turn back into position to allow the vehicle to completely shut off. The radio and computer components remain on.

Honda crv 2007 issue: doors when locked by either remote or via car would lock all doors except the drivers. Honda did cover it the first time then a year later the issue happened again but this time was in the back passenger side. Also the front center door light (right side) fails to turn on when you open the doors, it will however turn on when you press the button. Even got a new bulb but issue remained. I use to think Honda was a great car do basic maintenance and you should be set. This is not the case. There are two recalls on this car and Honda has not even notified me of even one of those and when I called the dealer and asked about the power steering pump they didn't mention the recall but stated it would cost $600. Vehicle TPMS system indicator has come on twice. The first time it cleared itself after 3 days and the second time it has stayed on for over two weeks and is still on at this time. Vehicle was in motion both times. This system indicator also automatically turns on the vsa and ceases to monitor tire pressures when it is lit up. If one needs to disable the vsa due to driving conditions, it cannot be done. Also, any tire that is losing pressure will do so without alerting the driver.

TPMS light keeps coming on depite tire pressure ok. It came on at first when I drove 11 miles. After tech turned it off (for $55) , it stayed off until I drove 11 miles. Then, it came back on. This seems to be an often reported problem judging from the number of complaints I found. Am heading back to the shop next week for one more try.

I purchased a 2007 Honda crv in sept 2011 and recently the car failed and began to lose power randomly. A few days ago the engine light came on and the vsa light as well. When you hit 20 MPH 40 MPH etc the vehicle stalls and jerks. I attempted to fix the problem looking at the owners manual but I couldn't find or do anything on my own to fix it. I took it to the Honda dealer in orlando where I purchased it from and they want to charge me just to check it. I feel this is a safety issue. I've also noticed many postings about this malfunction on different web sites. It sounds to me as a recall and a manufactures responsibility. *tr

While driving to work, just coming off the highway, I noticed my car became very difficult to control. I immediately pulled over, and saw my back driver's side tire at a very strange angle. I called the tow truck. We both looked under the car, and it appeared to be that the arm came dislodged from the frame on that side due to extensive corrosion. When coming home I googled the issue, and saw canada had a safety recall for this exact problem, in humid areas that use salt for de-icing. Coastal new england would also fall under these conditions, as would many other northern areas of the united states. This should absolutely be recalled here as well. If it had happened 5 minutes sooner, I could have been in a serious accident.

Takata recall - driver's airbag recall went out on feb. 12, 2016, and the passenger airbag recall went out on may 23, 2016. We have received the recall letters, telling us that Honda will be in contact "this fall" to have the airbags replaced. Honda has still not contacted us about when this car should be brought in to have the airbags replaced.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Honda cr-v. While driving 20 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal noise and smoke appeared under the hood. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the air conditioner compressor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 153,395.

In august, 2010, we purchased 4 goodyear assurance fuel max tires. On december 7, 2012 , my wife and I experienced a blow out to our rear tire traveling on interstate-95 in florida at a high speed ((70mph) causing me to lose control of our 2007 Honda crv. We swerving across six lanes of traffic, almost flipped, and narrowly avoided crashing into concrete a wall before I finally obtained control of the car and was able to pulley off onto the emergency lane. Our vehicle was serviced by goodyear in october, and the tires were inspected and rotated at that time. At the time of the blowout, the tires only had 27,000 miles on them. They are warrantied for 65,000 miles. We contacted the goodyear store the next day, and the manager inspected the tire and could not determine why the tire b
