In may 2008, 15308 mi on Jeep, slowing for red light, dies, all dash lights com on, no power to steer, no wipers, etc.; starts back on it's own. Took to dealer, no code, no re-act; has happened intermittent since-safety issue in traffic. Now tranny problem, started sept. 2010, 37,600 mi, code 750, changed solenoid pk in tranny, now code for low pressure send circuit, drives a few miles then goes and stays in 4th gear; 3 months and still not drivable. Need recall for esm and tbs before someone gets killed. Chrysler should stand behind their products & be responsible for design and components. This is very disheartening since both my husband and I own a small biz and are struggling just to keep the doors open and now add the expense of diagnosing Chrysler's problem is just too much! Today while driving on a highway at approximately 35-40mph my vehicle stalled. I had come to a complete stop and was awaiting a traffic light change. When the light changed and I stepped on the accelerator the vehicle began to hesitate and jerk and the esp/bas light, malfunction indicator light (check engine) and a message stating transmission over temp came on. I was in the left lane and immediately put on my flashers. The driver behind realized that I was in trouble and put on his as well. After I was able to roll to the shoulder, I immediately turned the vehicle off. After waiting approximately 5mins, I restarted the vehicle and continued to drive slowly and carefully to my office since I was just 2 blocks from work. This experience scared me because had this happened while I was drivin

3.0 liter crd has had multiple problems from purchase to include air intake, oil systems, and seals. Engine is unreliable and does not seem to last more than 5,000 miles before needing major repairs. Based off of my experiences I believe the engine is faulty and can lead to safety issues while driving. In a 3 year period vehicle has been quoted as needing in excess of $20,000 in engine repairs. Air intake clogs with oil. Oil system leaks from multiple locations to include engine oil cooler, and intake runners. Back engine oil seals leak. Turbo clogs with engine oil. Vehicle has 46,000 miles on it. *tr

12/25/2010 38,000 mi ODI #10372379.0

I have a 2007 Jeep grand cherokee with about 38,000 miles on it. It has stalled out several times when trying to accelerate almost resulting in a few accidents. I was told the electronic shift module needs to be replaced, which has been a recurring problem for a large number of jeeps this year-make-model. The part alone costs over $700 and is on national back order for over a month. There absolutely needs to be a recall....this is a serious safety hazard and absolutely ridiculous!! *tr

Same description as many other consumers. Slow, rough acceleration at all times. Very difficult to accelerate especially when entering freeway. Need to pull over on ramp and turn off vehicle in hopes that restart will help. Vehicle will stall while driving on freeway. Just completely shuts down. Very dangerous for driver and those around driver. Have to attempt to get to side of road and turn off vehicle and hope that upon restart vehicle will improve. Too many complaints over the years have gone unheeded and an immediate recall needs to be done before serious injuries or deaths occur. *tr

Rear lift gate cylinders for the back door do not work in cold - 50 degrees or cooler weather. They do not keep the door up and many times the back door almost or did come crashing down on my head. This is not a one time incident. This is a safety hazard which could result in a possible concussion, fractured skull or broken neck. Luckily the last time someone saw it almost crash on my head while unloading groceries they picked up the gate before it hit my head. Prior incidents results in the door hitting my head.

Heater started blowing cold air on drivers side. Blend door broke and fell down inside the dash. I paid $130 for "heatertreater" fix and repaired the broken doors by converting the dual controls to single drivers side control only. *tr
