The rear suspension feels like it bottoms out when hitting even small dips in the road. It has been doing this for about as long as I have had the truck (2007) and all suspension parts are original. *tr

2007 tacoma well maintained and garage kept is showing signs of excessive rust on frame and and inside frame rails. Toyota has a campaign out at this time to cover excessive frame rust on tacoma's in the following states. Ct de il in ky ma md me mi mn nh nj ny oh pa ri va vt wi wv, & d.c. I live in iowa which also uses salt on roads in the winter and only live 35 miles from the minnesota border, so why is my truck not covered in this salt belt campaign? I checked on line and there are many complaints of frame rust on 1996-2009 tacoma's being deemed unsafe to drive and with frames failing after as little as 6 years. *js
First trip to dealership to have them inspect excessive rust on frame was 09/01/10 with 38707 miles on the odometer Toyota world of newton stated that the surface rust was consistent with northeast driving second trip to Toyota world of newton to inspect frame separating on 11/01/13 with 74942 miles on the odometer. Toyota inspected and confirmed perforations in right side frame rail and no programs or campaigns on this model year truck was purchased new from Toyota world of newton 2/20/07 I do not believe there should be perforations in a frame of a truck that is 6 years old..... *tr
I have a 2 1/2 year old Toyota tacoma that I purchased new in april 2007 from lebrun Toyota in canandaigua, ny. About a month ago I noticed 4 rust stains on my new garage floor directly under the frame weep holes on the tacoma. I made an appointment at lebrun to have it looked at. I was told that the tacoma should not be doing that but that they also had no idea on how to proceed. The service manager offered to have it undercoated using the same process they are currently using on the older tacoma's and tundra's that are under recall for the same issue. I declined the undercoating because I felt it was covering up the rust only to appear again in a few years after my warranty expires. The service manager agreed to have my tacoma looked at by a Toyota fts. Today the Toyota fts, rob brown,
2007 Toyota tacoma, rusted frame.. I purchased used in austin texas on oct 2015 from a dealership. The truck is from a northern state, affected by massive amounts of rust on the frame. I took the truck in for a look over, I was told I had a few years left in the truck before the rust rots completely through. Toyota needs to recall the 2007 models as well. I just bought this truck thinking this was going to run for a very long time, I was mistaken and buyer beware.
airbags 4 complaints shown
Air bag light came on. No deployment. Dealer says spiral cable needs replacing inside wheel. $600 to fix. Not covered under warranty. Air bag will not deploy if needed due to repair.needed is this not a safety device required? This a failure not a maintenance item. People all over the net reporting same issues. *tr
I ran into the back of a truck who was completely stopped, and I was moving at approximately 35-40mph on impact. The impact was perfectly square into the front of my truck. The airbags did not deploy. I was wearing my seat belt, however I was still pushed into the steering wheel quite hard. Fortunately I sustained no major injurious, and only suffered minor aches and pains. *tr

2007 Toyota tacoma 4x4 ext cab pickup. On 12/5/09 I hit an icy patch and went off road and hit a tree. Traveling approx 40 MPH. No airbags deployed. Hit the tree in the exact center of the hood of truck. Vehicle was a total loss. Subsequent inquiries to Toyota have resulted in two explanations for non-deployment. A) airbags are designed to go off on rapid deceleration (I told them I hit a tree) b) airbags are designed to go off when the engine breaches the firewall and enters the cab (I told them if the engine was coming into the cab, I would be screwed) they sent me a NHTSA airbag brochure that pretty much told me what I already know about airbags and totally contradicted what they told me about airbags. I know there was a recall of 05 & 06 mechanisms. Maybe I got an ea

I was driving my 2007 Toyota tacoma down a hill and without my foot on the accelerator the vehicle accelerated without notice...I lost control of the vehicle and ran into a concrete barrier. There is substantial damage to my vehicle and I was also injured. It happened about a month ago for the first time and I didn't think much of it or it was nothing serious. *tr
Returning home from a short drive of about four miles, I brought the vehicle to a complete stop in front of the garage. All of a sudden without warning the accelerator revved very high. I pushed down hard on the brake but the vehicle still lurched forward hitting the garage door and side wall causing damage to the building and vehicle. I shut off the engine to kill the engine. The OEM floor mats were in place and did not affect the pedal. No personal injuries - just a very shaken family. *tr

My truck has a vibration in the rear of the truck we have balanced the drive line 3 times replaced both u-joints and there is still a vibration between 30 and 40 miles per hour. I took it to the Toyota dearer ship and they keep it almost 2 weeks and first said it was the tires, and then the transmission and then the wheels and then maybe if I spent the money and put a new drive line on that might fix the problem but not sure. I have been out over 1,000 dollars and no luck with fixing the problem. *tr
