Takata recall I have been unable to use the front passenger seat of my car since early summer. I have sent your agency a complaint and have called Toyota several times. At what point does your agency insist that the manufacturer repair or replace the vehicle. Waiting for over 1/2 year while driving partially functioning car is unacceptable. *tr

Takata recall. Still no safe fix from Toyota. I guess our lives are not important to this company. We have no airbag issue at this time.

Air bag warning light came on and stayed on, took to dealership got diagnostic and it is the air bag coil spring, needs to be replaced, advised that the air bags most likely will not deploy in a crash. Cost to repair estimated at $500, no longer under warranty. Toyota should repair for free, should not be a part that wears out. *tr

I was sitting at a red light when my 2007 Toyota yaris was rammed from behind in a rear end collision. I sustained several injuries. My air bag didn't deploy, but the air bag light came on. In addition, the seatbelts didn't work either. I suffered a comminuted fracture to my left distal clavicle, fractured l1 transverse process, and I'm having surgery to fix the problems that were caused from my face hitting the steering wheel. This happened on oct 20, 2015 and I just found out this is a common problem with 2007 Toyota yaris'. I can provide addition information is needed.

After having 4 new goodyear assurance fuel-max tires for approx 10 months and 10,000 miles, observed bulges forming on sidewalls of 3 out of 4 tires. Goodyear was unwilling to recognize the problem as a defect, but after multiple calls to customer support, they replaced the 3 tires exhibiting the problem with a different model tire at no cost as a matter of customer satisfaction. Since many people have posted similar problems, and indeed another customer was in the shop with the same problem when I was there, an investigation should be performed. DOT numbers: m7mfjc1r4311 m7mfjc1r2012. *tr

The failure was not on my vehicle, but on some 18 wheeler which lost its retread. I hit the retread debree laying in the road, a piece 2-3 feet long. I nearly wrecked 1st trying to avoid it and then when I hit it. It tore up my exhaust pipe which will need repair. I believe these retreads aught to be made illegal since they must be railing at a high rate, just looking at the debree I notice along the side of a typical interstate. Is the cost savings to truckers worth the risk imposed on other drivers and the cost of repair to their vehicles, most of which is absorbed by the victim of this junk. It is particularly dangerous for drivers of small vehicles, which have low ground clearance. I hit this with a yaris. *tr

There is a well-known defect on Toyota yaris models (usa model years 2007 to present) that occasionally in cold, snowy weather, the rear ABS connector will have debris 'gunk up' the connection, disabling the ABS - obviously a very huge safety issue in the winter. There are many well-documented situations of this and threads on yarisworld.com dating from 2008 until today (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11533). The fix appears to be straightforward and inexpensive; however Toyota has not issued a recall for this, has no permanent fix for the issue, and will not even complete the temporary fix for owners. This is unacceptable as the safety risk is large. *tr

12/21/13: the weather conditions were 35f and raining. After a trip of about 8 miles my car was parked outside for a couple hours. Upon starting the car for my return trip I noticed that the dash indicators for ABS and brake were lit and remained lit through the duration of my trip of about 8 miles. These indicators have never done this before. 12/22/13: (next day) when I started the car the indicators were again lit and remained lit. However, after driving a couple miles I noticed that the indicators were no longer lit. Research has indicated a known issue with the connectors to the ABS sensors in the rear wheels for which Toyota eventually released a technical bulletin. In later years the connectors were redesigned to be more resistant to water and snow. There have been many occu

Every morning winter or summer, I have to wait for my car to warm up in order to drive it up the road if I want to go more than 25 MPH. The transmission does not want to go out of first gear until the car is at a certain temp. I can't go up a road that is 35-45 MPH if I just started my car, otherwise there would be alot of upset people behind me because I can't go fast until the car warms up. The dealer tells me that is common for any Toyota car as they make them that way to ensure they last as long as they do. You should never just get in your car and go. It needs to warm up and get fluids to the proper temperature. Is this a crock because I see other complaints and no one has mentioned that the dealer says this car should act this way and this is normal? *tr

I was driving my 2007 Toyota yaris sedan along I-75 northbound towards atlanta when all of a sudden my driver's side door window just exploded for no reason. The shattered glass blew out all over the inside of the passenger cabin. There was no external force that caused the glass to shatter (it simply exploded spontaneously). *tr
