I contacted a dealer to have my airbags replace due to a recall, and they said until Chevrolet release a remedy that they could not fix it.

"takata recall" this recall is still open and active on my vehicle! Neither gm or takata are doing anything about this! The gm recall site still states, incomplete, remedy not yet available". This is unacceptable, how long is going to be allowed to continue unresolved? The vehicle is considered dangerous because the airbag is faulty and nothing is being done!

Takata recall "16v383" dated may 27, 2016. It has been over two years and gm states "incomplete. Remedy not available". I am very concerned for my saftey and the safety of my family and other passencers! Can you do anything to get this safety issue resolved?

"takata recall" nothing has happened yet. However, we have not been in an accident. We feel like we are rolling the dice every time we use our vehicle. We have seen tv reporting where occupants have been grossly facially disfigured and or blinded from metal scraps from these airbags. Why are we being put at this dangerous risk? Since it appears, according to my Chevrolet dealer, we are no closer to having a replacement. Thus, I am requesting that you give the dealership.permission to disable or remove the bag. We would rather take our chances without a dangerous air bag that could explode in our face even in a minor accident, as we have done most of our lives before air bags were mandated. Please advise!

I received an important legal " takata recall"notice that my 2008 Chevy avalanche is involved in a recall for my airbags. I was instructed to log on to airbags .org. I registered my vehicle . I was instructed to contact a local auto nation Chevy dealership.. It took them all day to get back with me that as of now gm has not come to a decision as on how to deal with airbags recall. I expressed my concern because that recal notice I received was pretty confident that they needed to be replaced. Gm service mgr.told me I need not be too concerned. I'm very concerned with there nonchalant attitude. Please lett me know what my options are please. Thank you, ps my airbags haven't deployed but my concern is that they have been known to self deploy for no apparent reason.

I contacted advantage Chevrolet when I received the recall notice telling me to call to schedule repair and was told there is no action to take at this time, why does the recall notice tell me to do this if the dealer isn't going to co-operate, also dealer says I will be notified but recall notice says I will not be notified in the future. I do not have a claim other than being part of this recall.

Takata recall I have called the local Chevrolet dealerships numerous times inquiring about the recall and trying to get the problem serviced. They keep telling me that gm hasn't made a decision on what to do yet. This is unacceptable! It is very dangerous to have possible faulty air bags.

I have a 2008 Chevy avalanche ltz with the 5.3l v8 engine with adaptive fuel managment. It was purchased used with 120k miles. It became apparent that the engine was consuming oil, 1-2 quarts per 3000 miles. Recently the engine started producing white/blue smoke on start up and oil consumption increased to 2-3 quarts in 1500 miles. My vehicle is currently at a mechanics shop and I am told that for starters I will need new valve covers that are redesigned from the original ones and that excessive oil consumption is common on this engine. I have read of other owners that have had to have pistons/rings, valve covers replaced, and a baffle placed into the oil pan to mitigate the oil consumption. This seems to be a fairly common occurrence that isn't a typical maintenance issues since these par

At about 30,000 miles I notice that the rear driverside door lock would not work properly sometime, but I did not take to shop.at about 34,000 miles it quite working altogether, hardly ever using that door I let the miles go by without taking in for repairs. Also the front driver side lock sometimes does not work properly. Now I guess at 38,000 miles I will have to pay if I want it fixed. *tr
