Took my SUV for an airbag recall and when it was completed my truck AirBag light was left on. My truck did not have that light on when I arrived at the location. Dealer mentioned not knowing what to do about it. I made a complaint and nothing was done by the dealer.
It's been over 4 years since receiving this recall for airbags that can kill me instead of protect me in an accident. This is more than enough time to correct this issue but it's being ignored until everyone either forgets or more people die. I can't get the dealers to disable or remove the airbag so why even give me recall notice? I need this fixed so I can drive safely or sell my vehicle without concern of others.

Takata recall -- my dash close to the passenger side has a very long split across it due the defect with the airbag. The split materialized very quickly. The car was stationary in the yard. Thus far I have not had any contact regarding a solution to get repair it. My concern is for the safety of the passenger when the vehicle is in motion.
Takata airbag recall: I have been in contact with the Chevy dealership in my area regarding this recall. I have been told several times that there are no parts or resolution to this issue. Just recently on 11/29/17 I visited classic chevorlet in sugarland texas and inquired about getting the airbag serviced. The airbag service light in my vehicle has constantly stayed on for the past three months. When I get in to my vehicle the airbag service light comes on and stays on whether it is in motion or parked. I have been waiting for over a year to find out what takata will do to fix this problem. This is a safety concern for me and my family every time we get into my car. Someone needs to find the remedy for this soon before people are seriously hurt or lose their lives.
I have three gm vehicles with this same recall notice (#49151) from july of 2016. To this day I keep being told the remedy is not yet available. What should be my expectation for resolution? Fortunately there has not been a problem.

Drivers door has had trouble closing. Hinge was stiff and creaked loudly. Several attempts just told needed greased. So we continued to grease when necessary at home. Kept greasing the hinge. Finally the door would not shut at all around 90,000 plus miles when first noticed the door issue. Had to have someone come and help close the door. The door turned out to be defective metal and near the hinge the metal has torn across and thus lowered the door to where it does not close properly. A small weld was done to hold while I pursued help through Chevy to no avail as by then we were over 100,000 and told too late. I even had the body manager tell them no rust around hinge, defective metal. Now the passenger door has same issue. Windows are starting to have trouble closing since door
Inside door handle chrome is peeling and has cut our hands on several occasions. *tr

Engine stalls in traffic, rapidly goes from drive to park multiple times, door locks rapidly cycle multiple times, gauges flash, radio clock does not keep time. This is my 3rd report since august to your office for this problem. This is the 4th time since august our vehicle has been in the shop totaling more than 8 weeks. Chevrolet can't fix the problem and keeps trying to blame it on an after-market dvd player we had professionally installed. The dvd player was disconnected and suspected wires repaired by Chevrolet but the problem keeps happening. There are many others who are experiencing very similar problems. The ny times published an article summer of 2010 that you should read about this year group electrical system problems and you, NHTSA, are under fire in it. I am publishin
All 4 automatic door locking actuators do not work. The actuators do not work when the lock/unlock button is pressed on the remote. Locks do not actuate when the car is put into park or when the speed is attained that is set in the system settings. The only way to lock/unlock the doors is to manually push or pull the door lock. You can also unlock the drivers side lock by using the key. This is unsafe. *tr
