Have issues with both front struts, both ball joints, and both inner and outer tie rods. While driving you can feel shaking and vibrations. Also steering is starting to become bad because of this issue. There needs to be a recall on this before an accident occurs and someone gets seriously injured or killed. *tr

Motor cradle is rusting out! That's very dangerous and there should be a recall on call calibers. I can not afford to bay over $1,000 to fix my car. And the maker should use poor quality parts knowing how serious it can get. Recall recall recall !!
2008 Dodge caliber. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle sub-frame corrosion repair issues, requests for financial assistance was denied and extended warranty for same premature corrosion was issued for 2007 Dodge caliber. *smd the consumer stated the vehicle failed inspection. *jb
Rear subframe rusted right through control rods snapped rear end of car dropped down. Upon researching they know that this is bad and unsafe even gave a 10 year extended warranty for front and rear subframe so how long will and how many complaints before this is an actual recall. I see here in your complaints that there is a large number of complaints on this issue. How are they getting away with this and nothing being done. I will have photos also police had said if this happened while it was on interstate would have crashed and could have been fatal. The tire would have ripped right off. So not only was my safety but the safety of the others being jeopardized cause everyone just keeps looking away at this issue. I would love to know how many of these subframes have had to be replaced I b
I’ve only had the car since Aug. Im the second owner, it drove just fine. Then I got an oil change. Then the car began to rev down hill and struggled to make it uphill. Then my exhaust became excessively loud. Then the wheel became loose ,and started pulling ALOT. I was on my way to get an alignment this morning and the whole front end began to buckle not even a minute down the road. I tmade it in back the driveway before the front end collapsed completely

For three sudden engine failures: 1) approximately april 16, 2014 noticed some of the dashboard warning lights blinked a little. Stopped at a traffic light it turned green stepped on the gas, the car jumped and stalled in traffic. Was able to restart the car and go about a 100 yards into a side street. Was met by local police. Got tow truck and had it towed to the local Chrysler dealer. After the car was repaired drove out of the dealer but noticed that a dashboard warning light was on. 2) approximately may 2, 2014 the dashboard warning lights blinked again but the car kept running. Drove to my destination. When I returned to my car, turned on the ignition key it would not start again not even to crank the motor. Got tow truck and towed it back to the Chrysler dealer. After th
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Dodge caliber. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH, the engine stalled. The vehicle was able to restart. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000. Updated 3/12/15 the consumer stated while driving around 25 MPH, when suddenly the vehicle started to vibrate uncontrollably, lost power and the electronic throttle control light illuminated. He shut the vehicle down and eventually re-started it. The consumer experienced the issued two more times. Updated 04/02/15*jb
The lights and all dash gauges turn off while driving and all the warning lights on the dash come on. The engine light stays on until the car is turned off. When restarting all lights go away. This happens most often when I am braking. No pattern for when or what speed. ABS seems to kick in for no reason during this electrical failure. Power has been lost and car has died while driving. I am told this is the tpim module fault that requires replacement for $1,500.00! There is large and common problem with this tpim and Dodge has wrongly not provided a recall for the caliber. *tr
I can drive the car but can't speed up or engine light will flash. If I'm at a stop light too long my car will stall while engine light is flashing and can't turn over engine right away.

Second time this as happened in less then 3 yrs. Driving car no warning light ever came on the first time. Lost power car died. Had it towed to dealership $600 cost no real answer from dealer ship. Now dec 25th 2013 driving home and light electronic throttle control indicator light comes on . Car putt's along . Again this is the second time this has happened, someone is going to get killed and Dodge will have a law suit on their hands. I and many others will tell our friends and families not to buy anything made by Dodge . Pretty sad someone will have to die to get this company to do a recall and fix the problem. *tr
The car starts, drops rpms to 700 when put in reverse, then stalls while driving. *tr

Had to replace the wish bones. And am on my 5 th set if tires since may of 2012. Which are not cheap at $130 a piece for the cheapest. Alignment is always off and tires have to be pumped every couple months.
I had a dangerous situation. I first noticed a vibration in the wheel at 55 MPH. I then started hearing clunking sounds while steering or going over bumps. I took it in thinking that it's a ball joint, because I had the lower control arms replaced at around 75,000 mile, while they were still under warranty.. The motor cradle was completely rusted out. I had to have that replaced plus 2 lower control arms. It cost me 1458. There's already been a recall of the 2007 model. Mine was manufactured in august of 2007, and the cutoff date was july 2007. I have photos and invoices attached.

My 2008 Dodge caliber 2.4l turbo just got throttle body issues. I was driving around 30 MPH like normal and my car started going berserk, had to turn it off while parking on the side of the road. It seems dangerous I know this can cause accidents. *tr
Complained on numerous occasions to the stone mountain Dodge dealer that there was something wrong with my fuel gauge. It does not keep an accurate account of the fuel in my fuel tank. Upon filling up my car on full with fuel, it would give an inaccurate reading right away. As soon as I drove out of the parking lot. I explained this to the dealer on a number of different occasions and each time I was told that there was a part that my car needed, and it was on order and would be in a couple of months. I would wait a couple of months, and return to the dealer, and at that time I was told the same story again, that this part would be ordered, but now, they could not find a manufacturer to get the part from, but that corporate knew about this. On various visits to the dealer service dep

A noise was heard that seemed to come from the front suspension while driving. Inspection later showed that the front crossmember was badly rusted and has holes in it. Both the front and rear crossmembers on this vehicle are badly rusted. The rest of the car is rust free. This seems to be a very common problem on this car. The 2007 Dodge caliber has a service bulletin to replace these parts if they have holes in them under warranty, however I was told this does not apply to the 2008 model year. The dealer and Chrysler customer service were contacted and would not help. If this issue is not found and repaired it could result in a crash. *js

Front k-frame cross member rusted out. Extended warranty available and problem acknowledged through 2007 models. However, it was obviously not resolved by 2008. Significant safety issue as driver would not be able to control the vehicle when this part fails. Dodge will not warranty. Pix attached
