I have been having issues with this vehicle in the steering. It will pull to the left or right at any given time going down the road. We are a full service shop and own this vehicle. We have checked everything and contacted Ford. They recommended changing the steering shaft that goes to the steering gear box. We did, but it still does it. Not sure what to do next. We are in the process of changing the steering gear as we have no other options.

Vehicle shakes violently. Only way to get under control is to stop completely. This has happened numerous times. I have read on forums this is a major problem. Ford needs to recognize the problem and issue a recall. This is very dangerous. *tr

While turning sharp left at a traffic signal, the truck did not want to correct back straight. I forced it back to straight and continued on. While continuing to drive, the truck would track left and then track right. I turned the steering wheel quickly and it straightened back up. The truck is at a private repair shop with the technician unable to find anything broken. He suggested that it may be the power steering box. *tr

Death wobble occurs at highway speeds if bumps occur consecutively close together, the only way to stop wobble if you abruptly stop,it's worse if your on a transition ramp to on coming traffic.

Just got on the on ramp to get on the freeway when lost total control of the trucks powersteering. I was going maybe 35-45mph but had to slow down. Took to the Ford dealer the replaced the gearbox with a remanufactured gearbox and did the same thing on my second trip. Not sure what to do as this is a big safety concern

While driving in snowy conditions, the air filter will get clogged with snow causing the engine to stall. On 12/30/2010 at 2pm I drove approximately 20 miles (zip code 57201) and the air filter had 1/2" of snow all around and inside the filter. Discussed with local Ford dealer and they say there is a no fix for this problem could cause vehicle to stall in adverse weather conditions and cause an accident and or strand passengers in adverse weather conditions. *tr

While in tow/haul mode towing 40' 5th wheel, engine overheated quickly which resulted in loss of power. No leaks seen and coolant was spraying out of overflow cap only. No lights came on in dash. Seems fan is not kicking on when needed? When fan does kick on, engine cools immediately. This is only at low speeds under heavy towing. Truck runs great otherwise with no overheating problems. This has happened twice with this truck and I'm sure it is causing damage. Warranty just ran out of course. There is a coolant loss as well, but unknown where it is going. No milky oil, nothing on the ground, and no wet exhaust pipe. *tr

Monday, january 3, 2011, we were driving on a rural road in route to sharps chapel, tennessee when the right side front passenger caliper/rotor assembly failed causing smoking and burning smell of the brake shoes forcing me to pull to the side of the road. After allowing the brakes to cool, I contacted and drove to morristown Ford in tennessee and they to attempted to repair the brakes by disassembling and cleaning the caliper/rotor since they did not have the parts available to appropriately rectify the situation. This repair was not effective and the problem has repeated itself four times since then, most recently on october 5, 2012. This appears to be a very dangerous vehicle design and/or part failure!! Ford needs to rectify this problem!! *tr

I noticed a plum of white smoke out the tail pipe. That indicated steam, water in the system to me. All the gauges were normal and I stopped the vehicle and checked the fluid levels. No obvious problem. I called my local Ford dealership and they could not get it in for 36 hours. I drove it .4 miles home and parked it. At the appointed time I drove to north country Ford. It took them another day to find the diesel mechanic who could work on the vehicle. 24 hours later I am told the engine is blown; fluid got into the manifold and was sucked into the # 3 cylinder. Depending on the amount of parts that could be salvaged the cost of replacement could exceed $ 12,000. This vehicle has 95,000 miles on it. It has had tow other incidents with the engine and drive train: in december of
