Takata recall. I have not received any information on when I can expect to have this recall remedied. I've contacted several dealerships in the elkhart, indiana area and they keep telling me that parts are not available. They also stated that I will receive a letter stating when to bring my vehicle into a dealership for repairs. I'm not sure when the airbag recall first began so, I entered today's date.

Takata recall> notice 16s26 / NHTSA recall 16v-384< I was notified by mail of a recall over 5 years ago on the inflator of my passenger airbag but Ford had not yet arrived at a decision on how to fix the problem. Notification would be sent when they had a resolution. I began to regularly follow up with dealerships inquiring about the availability of replacement parts for my cars recall, but was repeatedly told they were still waiting for any parts to be provided to them. Recently, july 2018, I received a notice from Ford stating that "a repair is available for your vehicle" in big red letters. It goes on stating "parts are now available for your vehicle". Details of recall and instructions for me to schedule my car for service LED me to call my local dealer to schedule a free repair. Unfor

Takata recall. In the month of july 2016 I received a letter from the Lincoln motor company, dated july 2016 stating "when parts become available for safety recall 16s26, the Lincoln motor company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer to have the passenger frontal airbag inflator replaced." two phone calls to dealer on 8/8/16 regarding this matter have not been returned as of 11/9/16. Four months seems to be a long time to get this issued corrected as it puts members of my family in harms way anytime I drive the car with a passenger in the front seat. How long is this expected to take for parts to be available and then how long will it take for the dealer to handle the replacement? Four months of a known safety hazard not being fixed is too long in

After ABS activation on a snowy road, break pedal needs much longer travel to engage brakes than before the ABS went off. Pedal feels spongy and requires much greater distance before the brakes feel like they begin to apply. Multiple ABS stops, 100 mile of travel and a day of not driving it have not made the problem any better. Car is 2009 mkz with 81000 miles.
