Single owner of vehicle, bought brand new. For last 18 months or more...large oil consumption, about 1100 miles per synthetic oil change. Sounds like a lawnmower when starting vehicle. Terrible "pick-up". Very low gas mileage, used 87 unleaded for entire life of car. Currently averging about 12 miles per gallon (highway/around town combined). Taken to local Honda dealership many times with no real solution although posts all over internet with same problems.

2010 Honda cr-v, blows cold on drivers side and hot on passenger side when heater is on. Every attempt to change settings were unsuccessful in any change. This is happening when in parked position or while driving.
Air conditioning blowing cold and hot; many reports of this on websites regarding 2010 Honda crv. The blower is working fine but the air conditioning goes from cold to neutral over and over again with no other symptoms. Vehicle is on and in motion when this happens. There is no recall that I can find regarding the situation.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Honda cr-v. While the vehicle was at don ayres Honda (4740 lima road, fort wayne, in 46808, (260) 484-0551) for routine maintenance, the contact was informed that the driver's door failed to open. The dealer replaced the driver's door latch mechanism and stated that there was a warranted repair for the door latch failure. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 46,990.
The doors lock and unlock on their own while driving. Also, the passenger door and hatch will not unlock. The passenger door can be unlocked manually, however, the hatch does not have a way to unlock it from the inside which poses a huge safety hazard. The doors should remain locked while the car is in drive, however, they unlock on their own which has allowed my 6 year old to open the door while the car is in motion. *tr

Takata recall- our 2010 cr-v was involved in a 3-car accident on a city road with speed limit of 35 MPH. A car entering the city street from another road cut off the driver traveling on the road in vehicle #1 and v#1 came to an abrupt stop. The car that entered the road, sped off and was not hit by v#1. Vehicle #2 rear-ended v#1. Our vehicle (v#3) rear-ended vehicle #2. There is significant damage to the front end of our cr-v. We are concerned that the driver's airbag was not deployed. The police officer called to the scene also commented that he was surprised that the airbag did not deploy. Thankfully, our daughter did not hit the steering wheel, but the force was significant enough that we are concerned that this airbag is not functioning properly. We were not aware of any rec
Takata recall. I was told the parts for my airbag replacement would be available summer 2016. I never heard anything. I am tired of driving a car that is inherently unsafe.
engine 2 complaints shown
The engine makes a rattling (grinding) noise during cold starts. The noise only occurs when the weather is cold <50 degrees f and only when the engine is cold. The noise does not occur when the weather is warm and the engine is warm. The noise is most likely stemming from the vtc actuator.

On my 2010 Honda CRV, the rear frame stiffener became excessively corroded over time which resulted in frame stiffener perforation . On 10/18/22, the rear trailing arm separated from the vehicle's body while I was driving, forcing loss of control until I could bring the vehicle to a stop. I called my auto service provider to come and examine the problem which he confirmed that the rear trailing arm had separated from the body, the car was undrivable, and needed to be towed to Butler's Body Shop. The body shop confirmed that the rear trailing arm was separated from the body, that the right and left trailing arms, the right and left rail assembly, and the left axle assembly would need to be replaced. I learned that there was a safety recall issued by Honda Canada for Rear Frame Stiffener Cor
The driver side rear suspension trailing arm assembly to the chassis frame rail. Yes, it is available for inspection. Loss of control of the vehicle. A Pennsylvania licensed inspection technician informed us of the severe corrosion of the chassis frame rail on Sept. 23, 2021. No inspections have been made after the failure. We contacted Honda Customer Service regarding the corrosion before any failure, they did not schedule any inspection o the concern. Honda has not returned (4) telephone calls we made to them after the failure. There was no warning.

tires 2 complaints shown
I purchased a new 2010 Honda cr-v and it is used regularly. The tire pressure has been low on several occasions due to nail in the tire or just low pressure. However, never has the sensor activated for this or made me aware that there is a low tire pressure issue. The car is regularly brought to be serviced at the Honda center. I have two sets of tires on the vehicle that have worn in different condition. *tr
I went to firestone to have my car serviced and was told that I need to start thinking about new tires. *tr
electrical 1 complaint shown
There has been several stalled engine incidents while driving on a city street and also stationary at a red traffic light. No engine light has turned on leading to a wiring issue perhaps. Not so much a mechanical issue more so electrical of software related. It is unknown when the engine will turn off. There are two recall associated with stalled engine for Honda cr-v 2010. There are the ignition circuit coupler failure (11v004000) and the automatic transmission control module software (11v395000) however my VIN is not apart of that recall. I am scared and fear for my life that this stalled engine issue will cause my car to get into an accident or even worst have someone else and I get killed.

I tried to warm up the vehicle for 5 mins before driving, but the simpton remains the same. The software upgrade was done by dealers a couple of times, but the problem continues. *js
