Back seat door behind driver will not open or shut. The door handle becomes stuck. This door hasn't been used much so this isn't normal wear and tear and should be a recall. This is a major safety issue as we can't access the door for my child.

Am the owner of a 2010 elantra which was purchased new in the spring and have experienced my trunk open suddenly many times over the past 10 months - either while driving and/or in the garage. Once where it was parked for 4 days and resulted in the battery discharging fully because the trunk light was left on. The dealer claims that I must somehow be pressing the fob button to open the trunk, which has never been the case. The actual fob button requires a lot of pressure to open the trunk. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Hyundai elantra. The contact stated that the front interior door handles were fractured and became inoperative. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000. The VIN was not available.
The plastic chrome on the inside passenger door handle is "delaminated" and a razor sharp edge is exposed. When I reached across the seat (from the drivers side) to open to passenger door, the sharp edge deeply cut my finger which had to have pressure for about three hours before it would stop bleeding. This car only has 27k miles and rarely sees someone in the passenger seat so this is not due to extensive use as stated in previous recalls for this problem. If the problem was identified and recalled in 2009 then why is it still a problem in 2014? This car was in for service and a non-related warranty fix last month and nothing was said about this problem (and subsequently, the dealer was not inspecting for this problem). *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Hyundai elantra. While driving 10 MPH, the power steering failed and the eps warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 15v100000 (steering), but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The failure occurred five additional times after the recall service. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was unknown.
Tl*the contact owns a 2010 Hyundai elantra. The contact stated that the vehicle became unstable in adverse wind conditions. The contact was not sure of what the wind speeds were that caused the problem, but the vehicle started rocking from side to side while traveling 65 MPH. This had also happened when passing trucks in the opposite direction. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and after a test drive; the dealer said nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The contact feels the dealer did not have a problem because at the time the weather conditions were normal. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 12 and the current mileage was 457.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Hyundai elantra. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, the power steering failed with the illumination of the eps warning light. The vehicle was shut off and restarted as the vehicle resumed normal operation. The dealer inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that the steering motor was not calibrated. He then re-calibrated the eps motor. The failure recurred approximately one month later. The contact was awaiting repairs to the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The current mileage was 12,436 and the failure mileage was 12,587. Updated 02/01/12 *bf updated 03/26/12
Electronic Power Steering failure on a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. There is a recall bulletin issued for this defect on my same year and model, but Hyundai will not comply with it because my vehicles vin is not affective.

I took my vehicle to firestone auto for an oil change and inspection. The technician found that when he applied the brakes they pulsated. Upon further investigation he found that all of the brake rotors are rusted and pitted. The rear rotors are worst than the front. He also noted that the rear brake shoes are worn out and need replaced. Normally the front pads are replaced twice to once in the rear. My guess is that the rotors caused the rear pads to wear out prematurely. I contacted Hyundai and they said that the rotors are warranted for 5 years / 60,000 miles but only manufactured defects are covered. They said that rusting and pitting from weather conditions is not covered. Should I have kept them oiled so they didn't rust? I have a 2006 Kia with over 113,000 miles on it and the rotors

Vehicle has 85,000 miles and the transmission slips in 2nd and 3rd gears. Does not matter if the weather is warm or cold or if engine is warm or cold. Reoccurring problem for several months.
December 4, 2021 while driving to San Diego, CA, interstate 8W, Hyundai started jerking and pulling very hesitant. I took the car to my mechanic on December 13th and he informed me that the transmission had a slippage problem! Shifting from 1st to 2nd and then again from 4th gear! Bottom line, I needed another Transmission! I called NHTSA at 888-327-4236 to report this issue, but only a written complaint was taken! We 2010 Hyundai Elantra owners need to file a Civil Lawsuit against Hyundai! There are numerous complaints that I've read regarding this same suspension Faulty! I have a 2010 Hyundai elantra. Two times in the last 3 months I was driving and for no reason at all my car would rev up and my speed would accelerate. In October this happened I was so scared that I quickly turned into a gas station and was hit by another vehicle. The next time it happened I was lucky on the road that wasn't busy and I was able to just take my foot off the gas until it returned to normal. After that I had no more issues until about 2 weeks ago. I was driving around 30 miles an hour when the engine just shuts down. But the power was still there. I honestly don't know how to explain it. first I tried pressing the gas pedal nothing happened no movement, no sound, nothing. So I put the car and park because it was still in drive. After that I tried restarting car and it sounde
