I noticed that my seat was rocking on the left side and would lift up. When I got down on the floor board to see what was going on I noticed that one of the front welds was completely broke off and laying on the floor board. While taking my daughter to daycare this morning, I went to accelerate and the other side of my seat broke and my entire seat went back, almost causing me to get into an auto accident when I lost control of the car. Not only was my and my 3 yr old daughters safety at risk, but I now have lost a day of work until this can be fixed. As if this was not enough, I spoke with Mazda corp. (1-800-222-5500) about 3 weeks ago b/c my dashboard is totally melted. The representative was very nice and Mazda is going to replace my dashboard after years of the run around at the de

Brake pedal travel went soft(had to pump)brake pedal for temporary(normal) pedal travel(feel). Mazda garage stated hydraulic ABS unit bad. Also no waning lights lit on dashboard. Mechanic stated yaw code was thrown in code reader. Stated old code. I replaced the ABS hydraulic unit at the Mazda dealership. Now there is a dynamic stability control lit on the dashboard. The ABS was working the night before (snow on the ground) and no steady light lit. Just flash when it activated. ABS hydraulic unit replaced 12-27-2017

A low speed rear-end collision resulted in an immediate explosion of the vehicle, causing a large external fire and smoke to enter the cabin upon impact. The structural damage to the vehicle occurred on the front-right; the fire destroyed the entire front 2/3 of the vehicle (totaling the vehicle). The concern is that such a low speed impact should not cause an explosion which could potentially have injured or killed the driver and passengers.

There is a hairline crack in my 2010 Mazda 3 dashboard. It is directly over the passenger side airbag and I feel this is a safety issue. I live in buffalo and the crack is worse in the winter. I spoke with Mazda and said this would be expensive to repair, however, I have checked online and many other drivers of Mazda's have had this issue. I would like to get this fixed, however, I am a graduate student and cannot afford this. I would like to make sure this is only cosmetic and not a safety concern. *tr

The dash of the car is melting. It causes a reflection that is bright and impairs visibility. Mazda addressed this problem with extending the warranty. When I called the local dealerships, none of them had the dash to replace per warranty. I made several calls throughout the year and each time was told the dashboard was not available and to try again. Then COVID hit and I did not venture out. When I finally called again, the warranty had expired. Mazda offered me $200 towards replacing the dash. When I called the dealership, it was almost a $1,000 repair. I've then called Mazda again and they asked me to get a diagnosis at a local dealership. I did that and then have had zero response to my many emails and calls from my assigned rep. I have never seen a dash melt and get sticky and shiny l

Vehicle with continued issue with melting dashboard. Requires very frequent cleaning of the inside of the windshield due to the substance build-up from the daily heating in the florida climate. During the day the glare from the sun reflects back onto the windshield causing it to be very difficult to see. Polarized sunglasses seems to minimize the issue. At night, certain lighting also highlights the problems especially when sunglasses are not appropriate. On december 8th just after sundown a vehicle began to make a left turn into my right of way at an intersection. The star bursting from the windshield made it impossible to see that they were turning in from of me leading to an impact. I believe that this dashboard issue played a very significant issue contributing to this crash. The

I purchased my 2010 Mazda 3 in august 2009. In december 2010, I was driving home from work and stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I engaged the clutch and I felt a pop under my foot and the clutch became stuck. When it finally came back up it vibrated and jerked itself before going back to starting position. I put the car in first gear and attempted to accelerate. The car accelerated but the vehicle did not move. To see if the clutch was catching, I put the car in first gear and took my foot off the clutch without giving it gas. The car did not turn off as it normally would if I did not give it gas while in first gear. The clutch failed without warning at 20,100 miles. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer and I was advised that the entire clutch needed to be repl

I purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 as a demo on july 30, 2011 with 4100 miles on it. I now have 8500 miles on it and the clutch has failed. After taking it to the local Mazda dealership, I was told it was a normal wear produce and it had been abused so I had to pay for the repair. When I bought the car it had a high release in the clutch pedal but I figured it was normal for the car. Since early november, the "intake manifold runner" has been extremely sensitive to the point that I cannot maintain speed up a slight incline without the engine revving up. I was told when I took the car to the dealership this was due to a clutch failure. I don't believe it is acceptable for a clutch to go out after just 8500 miles of driving. My previous vehicle went over 100,000 miles of my same driving and manual t

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 Mazda mazda3. The vehicle was parked and turned on when it shut off for approximately five minutes. When the contact attempted to restart the vehicle it would not start. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where they were unable to diagnosed the failure. The failure recurred four times. An authorized dealer was unable to diagnose the failure because the vehicle successfully started after being turned off for an extended period of time. The failure mileage was 14,000 and the current mileage was 14,700.

Within a week after purchasing my 2010 Mazda 3 s sport sedan in october, 2018 from a used car dealer in midvale, ut, the check engine light came on. Using a code reader, I consistently get a code of p0421, which indicates that the catalyst efficiency is below threshold. I have had 3 auto repair shops look at my car, and they all say that the catalytic converter is not operating properly and needs to be replaced. Despite the fact that Mazda warrants california emissions/pzev vehicles (which mine is) for a period of 15 years or 150,000 miles on all emissions related components, they will not repair my car under warranty because I currently do not live in a state that uses ca emissions standards when testing vehicle emissions. I feel that since my car is not performing as it was designed

At less than 24,000 miles, my clutch has begun to slip terribly and creates a terrible burning smell. I know there are hundreds of other Mazda owners who have also had to replace their clutches before they've had to replace brake pads. This is a drain on consumers, and a safety issue to boot. *tr

I believe that (recall campaign 0917b) safety recall applies to my 2010 mazda3 gt, although it took over 2.5 years to occur (august 2017) the complete fallouts didn't happen until now...(december 2020) initially, felt a pop in my back (from the frame?) while I was driving, pulled over and the seats moved fine so didn't think anything of. Meanwhile, a distinct rattling occurred intermittently behind me. Took the car to the local dealership (paid their special service diagnostic fee of ($165+) with 'master technicians' who know about this seat recall, yet, found nothing wrong with the seat or even looked if you ask me, yet wanted me to correct the noise by by installing both front and rear new suspension (~$1000).
