Is there a fix? Manufacturer service bulletins

The manufacturer has issued service bulletins covering seatbelts on this vehicle — documented repair instructions, service campaigns, or warranty extensions sent to dealers. A TSB isn't a recall (it's not a free safety remedy), but it's the manufacturer acknowledging the issue and how to fix it.

Service Bulletin SB-08-003-09 Oct 2009

MAZDA: THE 5 DOOR HAS A RETRACTOR(A) FOR THE REAR SEAT CENTER BELT(B) INSIDE THE SEAT BACK(C). IF A STANDARD TYPE RETRACTOR WAS INSTALLED, YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THE SEAT BACK TO THE UPRIGHT POSITION IF THE SEAT BACK WAS FOLDED DOWN WITH THE SEAT BELT FASTENED INTO THE BUCKLE(D). TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING, A DIFFERENT TYPE OF RETRACTOR IS USED WHICH STOPS THE BELT FROM LOCKING IF ONLY A SMALL PORTION OF THE BELT IS PULLED OUT OF THE RETRACTOR.
