Due to engine problems, caused by the recall, car cannot be driven. Been parked at a BMW dealership for over a month with no remedy insight.
I was driving on the highway at about 55mph and completely lost power on my 2011 BMW 328xi. Luckily there was no trafiic so I slowed down and stopped on the side of the highway opened the hood, and then I heard the engine making a rattling/marble noise. I took the car to the BMW dealership for a diagnosis and they said it could be the camshaft bearing ledge (which is not covered) or a vanos bolt(which has an extended warranty already on it). But if the issue is not the vanos bolt and it has to do with the camshaft bearing ledge, I would have to pay $2000 for the camshaft bearing ledge service, I took the car home and parked it. I am not the only person with this problem, as I have searched in forums and websites for feedback. A lot of people have had this issue and I don't see it fair that

When will the wiring recall for my car be completed? I need some sort of updated information, as my car is sitting due to signing a form stating I will not drive until the repairs are done. This is causing other issues such as dead battery, possible tire dry rot etc.... Due to sitting for so long I'm the weather without moving. Will any other damages or faults be covered due to this?
When I get in my car I have to use my key to lock my car doors. As soon as I put the key in the ignition all my car doors unlock. I have to fight with the key and double taping on the lock button on my key seems to keep the doors locked. My back window passenger side won't stay closed. I have to fight with the electric window device and hold the electric window device when I close the window. It's like I have to be fast when I close the window and hold the electric window device when the window is up and closed.

The positive battery terminal connection on the thickest cable in the trunk of the car (this wire leads from the battery in the trunk to the fuse box behind the glove box of the car) was loose due to either natural loosening over time (i.e. loss of torque on the fastener) or improperly applied torque by various BMW service shops (battery was changed by independent BMW service shop in 2018 and checked by BMW dealership in 2019 to be in good health). The loose connection at the battery terminal on this wire caused the car to suddenly turn off while driving on the road. Once turned off, there was zero electrical response from the car (e.g. engine turned off, no headlights, no hazard lights, no power steering, no capability to restart the car, airbags likely would not deploy if car crashed, e

Takata recall aibag light is on in vehicle. I barely drive car and do not understand why this is on. When I check recalls 8 seen this model is affected but when I put in VIN no current reveal. This is very contradicting. The vehicle was stationary. I turned it on to warm up and the airbag notification came on.
The the OC3 MAT on the passanger car just showed up faulty which causes the air bag light to also come on. I have seen a lot of others posting they are having the same issue. Can you help me find out if this has already been recalled but not replaced on my car or if it hasn't even been recalled yet this is a safety issue. Because the airbags will not function if the oc3 mat is not functioning properly. There wasn't anyone in the seat and the car had not been in an accident when the lights for the seat and airbags came on I took it in for a diagnostic and they said it was the passenger OC3 mat . I have read some of the same modle had already had recalls just trying to find out if this was one that should have been because the rep at the dealer ship said this was the
Takata recall got recall notice march 2016 have checked with BMW dealer 3 times and am told I am on the list. I live in atlanta, ga but have a condo at panama city beach, fl and drive back and forth regularly. I don't understand why it is taking so long when this is such a major safety issue. I understand there is a priority list and I would like to be on it given the age of my vehicle and where I live.

I purchased my vehicle and my 3rd top center brake light has never worked. My tires the tread seems low and I should have had new tires on the car when I purchased it. The steering seems more difficult when turning than it should be. Also I didn't receive 2 keys. My owners manual says I should receive 2 keys. I also had to order my owners manual and my car didn't come with it's owners manual.

The back door passenger side wood door panel is off and it was never fixed or replaced when I purchased the vehicle. This will probably cost me money to get the wood panel put back on the door. The same lights always appear on my dash board. The indicator lamps are on: dsc is deactivated. I do not know how to get this fixed. The brake light stays on and it is illuminating a yellow light. I managed to reset the service engine soon light after reading youtube. I took my car back to dealership twice and they did a diagnostic and couldn't get the service engine soon light to turn off. Also the dealership told me I have new brakes and a new oil change. A friend told me how to check my oil and my oil was a quart low. I drove to the nearest gas station and put in a quart of synthetic b

My license plate has 1 screw that fits into the metal made holes. It is suppose to have 2 screws that fit into the metal holes in the trunk. The plate itself has screws with no backs and are stripped. I don't want the license plate to rattle and fall off from faulty workmanship with license plate panel. Also the front plate is completely different from the back license plate panel and these screws look stripped too.
