My car broke down on the interstate. It started loosing power. So, I stopped at a store. The car told me the transmission was too hot to try again in 5 minutes. So, I looked up my VIN number, and their was a field service action. I went to the Ford dealership, and they told me that it had expired. So, it would be $250 just to hook it up to find out what was wrong with it. I just purchased the car for $3000, and do not have the money to repair. I dont understand that if there was a problem with these cars, why Ford wont repair them if it is their mistake.

Since new the car's transmission has had lurching and jerking issues when shifting that have progressively gotten worse. Multiple times the car has lurched and stalled missing the next gear and almost caused us to get side swiped while making a turn. We were left stranded and had to replace the control module which Ford eventually paid for. Now after getting a trans malfunction warning the Ford dealer is saying we need a new clutch (the car is an automatic...that is what we paid for). The clutch has only worn out because of the excessive lurching and missing gears cause by the poor design despite several failed attempts to have the issue fixed by the dealer. Not being able to accelerate when making a left turn or pulling onto a roadway or merging onto a highway is a safety issue. Please ho
After driving and then parking the Ford fiesta 2011 for a short dinner and the coming back to the car. I found that the car was not able to be started and it was stuck on the park position. The auto had to be towed to a Ford dealership. There they found out that it was the transmission.they performed fsa 14m01 plus other bulletins that pertained to those transmission problems that the Ford claims, but to no avail the problem has migrated within the transmission and it seems that they cant fix. It has been in the shop too long and it costing too much money in auto rentals and agony. I believe that the Ford should owned up to it and completed changed the transmission. Now it does not take reverse. *js
At a complete stop to turn right with brake pressed, the accelerator would not work as I took my foot off the brake and pressed the gas pedal. I was able to coast off the street turning right until eventually the car would accelerate. Very scary. *tr

Ford transmission, I recently purchased a 2011 Ford fiesta after which finding out about the customer satisfaction repairs for the transmission seals, and clutch as well as the door latches and other issues. I brought the car into 2 different dealers for the repairs, the one dealing with the repair of the clutch and seals I have had to bring it into twice for the issues regarding it. Before the dealer repaired the clutch and seals my car had a shudder where it would jerk when down shifting coming off the highway for example or up shifting when making turns across a lane. After I got it back it seemed okay but now less then 3 months later it is happening again and in addition there is a whining noise coming from the transmission. I brought the car into the dealership again today after severa
2011 Ford fiesta bought at garber used cars in saginaw michigan. I have had my car worked on for the recall for t e transmission rings. They told me they needed to also change out the clutch. Prior to this I spent 1200 dollars on the transmission part they said wasn't covered by a recall. The engine light started coming on a few days ago. They told me it was the catalytic converter. 650 to replace, and yesterday my car refused to start...the safety won't unlock and my car can't go into any gear but park. I had to have it towed...still waiting for the clutch and converter to come in so it can be repaired. When it runs it is a good ride. But the car has cost me all sorts of money I really cant afford to pay out. I will say if Ford doesn't come through and take responsibility for this car an
Clutch shudder. After having a replacement clutch assembly installed 12,000 miles ago, the clutch shudder, shaking, delayed acceleration, and jerkiness have returned. Assembly was reinspected at dealership, confirming that the replacement clutch assembly also has the failure symptoms. A new assembly is being ordered
The vehicle was purchased brand new. We have already taken it to Ford repair shops a number of times for replacement parts, repairs, recalls, etc. Recently, the vehicle would not start (among other continuing problems with shaking while braking, jerking when shifting gears--both of which we've already had worked on several times) so we had it taken to a Ford dealer near where we live. We found out the problem is with the transmission control module. It turns out that Ford has a csp for this problem. However, we did not know about it and by the time we started having problems, we were past the mileage for the warranty coverage. I am extremely displeased with this vehicle and the customer service we have received. I believe it is bias and discriminatory to repair problems you kn

The vehicle does not downshift. It is an automatic but I have to shift into neutral between gears as well as when I need to slow down. I have had several instances of a car in front of me braking unexpectedly and I must put the car into neutral and it continues revving at a high speed so I throw it in neutral. I could run into the car in front of me unless I slam very hard on the brake or put into neutral. The car does not shift into a higher gear automatically either. Also, I must pump the brake for a minute or two before the car will start.

This was the certified letter I sent to Ford: on june 12, 2012, I purchased/financed a new 2011 Ford fiesta at andy shaw Ford in sylva, nc. Unfortunately, the fiesta has not performed with reliability or safety due to chronic transmission issues and has caused ample inconveniences as well as safety concerns for myself and my daughter when I am operating the vehicle. I am very disappointed because I have had the car serviced several times for the same symptoms and transmission issues. Enclosed are copies of the vehicle's service records. Each time, the service department has claimed to have fixed the problem. However, after a few months, I begin experiencing the same symptoms. On numerous occasions, I have experienced life threatening situations on the road while operating the vehicle (

The left rear door latch failed upon closing the door and bounced back rather than locking in. The door from then on could never be closed and had to be duck taped to ensure it would not open upon driving the vehicle. While driving the vehicle, the main dash board would constantly notify the driver that the door was still open and the ceiling lights would stay on while driving. *tr
Door latch not working properly. 1. Parked the car and rear passenger opened the rear passenger side door 2. Closed the door but it didn't latch 3. Repeatedly attempted to close the door but it wouldn't latch 4. Put the key tip in the central locking/unlocking and twisted/jiggled it (central locking/unlocking is located on the door just above the latch) 5. Closed the door and it latched. 6. This issue happens each time you open the door from the inside (passenger exiting the car). You can open the door from the outside and the door works correctly. 7. Looked on the NHTSA website to see if the problem has been reported and I see many issues with Ford fiesta door latches, so added my report. *tr

I hit/ran over a pothole earlier this month and experienced several occurances of excessive brake travel or soft brakes immediately after when attempting to stop the car, on a city street. In august 2019, I ran over the edge of a manhole cover in a city street, that was paved in all around , except for this edge corner that was lower than the rest of the paving. That instance began the 'soft brake' experiences. I took to the Ford dealer service dept. The same week, was told that the actual brakes needed replacement. I observed the same thing happening again, the next wk. Brought the car back to the service dept.. This time, it was thought by the service advisor, that the tires needed replacement. 3 new tires were purchased , I had purchased a. Week before, so I kept that one, having the
