Takata recall dear sir/madam, I send this message because I have no further instruction about recall of my fit sport 2011, whose has takata airbag problem. Initial instruction shows replacement part will arrive around fall 2016, but we have no postal/electric notification about further actions. I contacted the nearest Honda dealer but there is no information neither (even no reply to my email). I hope someone could let me know what is happening and what I can do for this issue. Thank you. Best regards, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Takata recall. Received notice on 7-2016 that parts would be available late summer or in the fall. We would receive notice when they were available. As of 12-2-2016 have not heard from anyone.

The airbag lights keep turning on and off, been replaced twice and still doing the same thing. Mature security issue. Also, had my car in the repair shop 3 times because of following reaons: when accelerating from 0-35 MPH it makes a grinding noise. Had it hooked up to a diagnostic machine 3 times and the noise was noticed, but never resolved.

Takata recall. Second recall for airbag issue, now passenger side. No notification or any information from Honda about the repair of this issue. This has limited the use of this vehicle as no passengers can ride in the front.

Takata recall: I received a letter from Honda on 3/26/2016 informing me that my airbag was defective and was recalled. The letter stated they would send me another letter soon informing me when I could get it fixed. I never heard back from them, so I called them on 7/18/2016. They said that I could get it fixed by late september at the latest and that I would receive a second letter informing me when I could get it fixed. Now it is 11/2/2016 and I still have not heard anything from Honda. If my car truly has a dangerous airbag that needs to be replaced, I think that more than 7 months is longer than I should have to wait to get it fixed. I want them to fix my airbag as soon as possible.

I received two notices of the airbag recall for my Honda fit (2011) and the part was supposed to be available by late summer/fall. I made an appointment online for 8/27/16 only to find out when I got there that my local Honda dealership (Honda of oakland) still did not have the part even though I was able to make an appointment online specifically for the recall. It's been over 90 days and I still have yet to receive notice from my local dealership regarding this recall. Please remedy this situation as soon as possible. I have never had to wait so long (over 4 months) for the part to come for a recall, especially when it involves life/death.

I don't know if my car stalling at a red light might cause a wreck if in motion. Sitting at a red light and my car just stalls for a second then right back on. Radio and lights go out for just a second. This has happened twice while sitting at a red light. Hope it doesn't cause a wreck while in motion.

While driving the car started making humming noise, it got louder the faster it went, took it to garden state Honda in passaic nu and they said it was the wheel bearings on both sides, when I asked if it was under warranty they told me no and it will cost $800 and it would take a week because they would have too order the parts. I was moving to florida and when I got there I called delray beach Honda and they told me that the bearings are covered under the drive train warranty, so I took the car in and they replaced the bearings and also replaced a bad driver side axle. The bearings and axle replacement at 35,00 miles in my opinion is unacceptable considering I drive follow the maintenance strictly and I am very easy on the car.

Driver's side axle broke resulting in complete loss of propulsion. Passenger side axle showing similar symptoms. Both axles had to be replaced to resume safe and normal function. Absolutely no warning, had regular maintenance done and just driven car cross-country (wv->wa) 2 weeks prior without incident. Car is 2011 Honda fit with ~70k miles on it, regularly maintained at dealer and up until the incident I was completely satisfied with the vehicle. I have included the card from the spd with the incident number, the receipt from Honda of seattle for the work, the receipt for my payment, and a photograph of the old axles showing the break. I have retained them in case they would be relevant for investigative purposes and would be happy to turn them over. Incident occurred eastbound

Recently my 2011 Honda fit has been having intermittent power steering failures. It has happened 3 times in one week to date where I have started the car to drive to work in the morning and the steering is very heavy for a few seconds like an old manual steering car. The power steering kicked back in once after continuing to drive the car and on the other two occasions after stopping the car and restarting it.

After driving 20 miles through traffic with 1/2 tank gas and radiator temperature ok, no warning lights showing: turned right at intersection and lost all engine power (no throttle response), then all lights (headlights and dash). Steering became stiff. We think cd player stayed on. Luckily no nearby traffic and enough momentum to pull into nearby parking lot. Put car in park, turned key off and removed it. Replaced key and car started with lights ok. We've had this car for 1500 miles and this is the first time it's done this. *tr

Daughter driving 15 miles an hour and windshield cracked. This is the third vehicle I have owned that the windshield just begins to crack or explodes on Honda vehicles. I have called an asked why this is happening to their vehicles and they can not answer. I have also had roll overs in a Honda civic and no airbags exploded, have a Honda pilot that hit a truck tire going 70 miles an hour and ripped out the whole front and side of the car and no air bag exploded. I have had three separate cars that have front, back and side windshields explode. Something is wrong with these cars, and when you contact Honda they say oh well. Well, this will be the last Honda I buy. They are dangerous cars and need to be checked out. *tr

seatbelts 1 complaint shown

The back seat belts do not latch from time to time. More frequently lately. I took my car to Honda to have it checked and they said that they couldn't replicate the malfunction. But when I inspected the back seat the seat belt was tucked under the seat and did not look checked. I have 3 children and one of them requires a car seat. It continues to malfunction and the children cannot latch the seat belt to buckle themselves in. I am unable to transport my family in my car safety and cannot drive it.
