I have received a letter from Mercedes benz usa, dated december 2017, informing me (again) that the driver's side airbag is on recall, but that no part is yet available for replacement. I am to be notified when part becomes available. The problem is that I live on kaua'I and the nearest authorized Mercedes dealer is Mercedes benz of honolulu. It would cost me several hundred dollars to have the car barged to and from honolulu and would be a great inconvenience as both I and my spouse are disabled. I would request that I (and other mb owners on the island) receive the part when it becomes available and take it to the on-island garage that handles repairs of Mercedes and other such vehicles, as there is no local dealer.
Takata recall, scared to drive my car and need this fixed asap
Takata recall. I was informed that the driver and passenger airbags had both been issued a recall notice. I called Mercedes-benz of naples in naples florida and they said they could not get replacement parts. It has been six months and no word when I might expect a remedy. I want an answer as to when I can expect replacement of these air bags.

Takata inflators recall but the Mercedes dealership has not yet replaced the airbag.
Takata recall NHTSA recall number 16v081 was issued on february 11, 2017. Nearly two years later, no remediation is yet available. I am the current owner and a resident of marietta, georgia. This vehicle was originally sold and registered in florida meaning that this vehicle has spent the vast majority of it's life in a high humidity environment. With takata recently declaring bankruptcy, what is being done about the potentially hazardous airbags in my vehicle? Mercedes-benz is able to tell me nothing. I find this situation to be unacceptable.

The subframe is rusting in four places in the area of the wheels. If the frame breaks I could lose control of the vehicle
brakes 1 complaint shown
Dealer notes: Replace rear brake lines, found to be rusty recommend replacement with rear subframe replacement. This is a very well known issue and is not covered under recall from manufacturer. It will cost $3200 for brake line repair alone, not including the subframe. This is an extreme safety hazard and a common problem that has been acknowledged by the manufacturer.

There is a hole rusted through the vehicle's rear subframe assembly and it is dangerous to drive. My car is an E350 Mercedes with 78,000 miles and garage-kept. Mercedes knows of this issue and is not helping anyone with this problem. The job costs about 5000.00 to fix.
tires 1 complaint shown
5 months into my 2011 mb e350 bluetech lease the front left tire blows on a highway. The tires are runflat bridgestone turanza el400-02 moextended 245/45r17 95h. Stopped the car and saw the rim made a cut in a sidewall. Not repairable, had it replaced. 45 days later another front tire is again blown on a highway the same way. Put on a spare and ordered replacement. 2 days later - third tire blows the same exact way. All incidents are on the roads I travel for 10 years and never had any issues with my previous cars. Complained to local dealer and was told it was caused by my "way of driving". Ridiculous! Tire repairman told me these run-flats are not flexible and have a very thin sidewall so it gets punctured by the rim. Since Mercedes did not want to replace the tires for free,

I own the car for about three years. So far I had to replace 7 tires, Mercedes is saying that the problem are the roads in michigan. These tires are low profile tires, I do not fill safe to drive the car. My understanding is that many owners have the same problem. I guess I was lucky to buy tire and wheee insurance. I am 66 years old and had many cars but I have not have these kinde of tire problems.
steering 1 complaint shown
While driving at approximately 55mph on the highway, I was required to brake for a merging vehicle who decided to make a lane change at the last second. I used my breaks, and my car did not break correctly. Instead, the car pulled the the right and locked up, it felt as though I had lost control of the car. When I went to my mechanic, I thought it was a break issue. Instead, it turns out the whole rear sub frame had rusted. When researching this issue, I found many other similar experiences. The harm that this part failure lead to was extreme. This could have been deadly. This is a safety issue that the manufacturer does not address.
