I took my vehicle in for service to a recall for the ignition, while there they discovered oil leaking from oil pan gasket, they found problems with the emission. I took it home and when I started it it was accelerated, I took it back and dealer claimed it was not part of the work they did. They charged me 428.00 to repair. The next day I drove the car the idle was at 3 when I started it, took it back to the dealer, they claim they reset the idle, but the idle remains at 1.5 when im driving, and feels accelerated. This all began when they repaired a problem under guarantee. Car has 103,000.00 miles.

The engine goes dead without warning while I'm driving down the road. No lights on or any other indications that it is about to happen. Will not re crank. Realize that it happens when my fuel system is about 60 miles to empty. After putting gas in I can crank it right up and go until it hits around 60 miles to empty and it will go dead again without warning, very dangerous and scary thing to happen in traffic. Dealership technician is stumped as to what it is, they have changed one part and it did not work, engine went dead on him also when he tested drove it, car has been there for almost 2 weeks now and they don't know what to do. I need my car back.
I purchased the vehicle brand new in april of 2012. I reported the issue in january 2015. When I start my vehicle, especially from a cold start, I proceed to reverse out of a parking spot and as I turn the steering wheel to the left. The traction control light illuminates. As I stop the vehicle, I put it in drive and while turning the steering wheel toward the left as I proceed to move. The traction control light comes on a second time but the ABS locks the left wheel (no ABS light). I hear a metal grinding for less than 3 seconds and then it releases. It happens in all weather conditions but this issue is extremely dangerous, especially if it happens on the highway. I brought the vehicle to the dealership multiple times and they are completely clueless on how to fix the issue. I
Stability traction control I have had to fix it 3 times once was ball bearing and the other was a wire harness and it has to go in shop again for stability traction issues again also the door blending parts keep failing in my car I have had 3 replaced

At times, the vehicle jerks while shifting. I have experienced heavy jolting, rough shifting, especially during low speeds. While on highway or during strong acceleration, car shifts great. Mostly the issues are during downshifts or low speed shifts. Took to Chevrolet dealership, was told a factory reset may help adjust to driving styles. We bought car used with 35000 miles. This did not help. Not even sure if this is an option. No check engine lights or anything. Dealership cannot locate problem. Says transmission takes some getting used to. Awesome car, just wish this problem was corrected. *tr
At speeds 15 MPH and above after decelerating then accelerating transmission will make a noise ranging from a clink, clank, clunk to a banging jolt as if the car has been rear ended. The more pressure on acceleration and the lower the gear the louder the noise and the greater the jolt. Dealership states transmission is operating properly. *tr
Car was in park at a gas station, ignition off, car not running. Gear shift indicator showed "park". Driver was out of the car and the car rolled away, crashing into parked vehicle and resulting in injury to driver. This was an avis rental car with 7,500 miles on the odometer. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet impala. The contact stated that while driving t 25 MPH and making a right turn, there was an abnormal noise coming from underneath the vehicle without warning. The failure recurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was not available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
This vehicle, in early november 2019, at approximately 41,000 miles began making a "popping" noise from the passenger-side front suspension/steering area, primarily while turning left (and sometimes when turning right). The noise became progressively worse over a one month period. Suspecting it may be a defective tie rod end (passenger side), I inspected the vehicle (on 12/21/2019) and found that the steering knuckle (at the steering knuckle arm - where it attaches to the passenger tire rod) was fractured/broken, creating a major safety problem (the steering knuckle is fractured at the tie rod knuckle arm, and therefore it appears possible the steering knuckle could sheer off at the tie rod, resulting in total loss of steering control). This vehicle has never been in an accident, or hi

wheels 1 complaint shown
The front wheel hub assembly fails after numerous replacements. The after-market parts do not resolve the problem. Thw assembly girnds and hesitates on right turns during acceleration. This causes hesitation and an unsafe manner when making turns, suddenly, or moving away from emergency vehicles. This is a flaw in the manufacturer with the wheel hub that must be addressed. Thousands of dollars in repairs. Safety is at risk when the vehicle hesitates on turns with oncoming traffic. The Dealer has inspected the part and several auto mechanics. The constant warning light in every case is the 'traction control' orange icon blinks when wheel grinds and hesitates. This will cause wear and tear to the sensor causing the ABS LIGHT, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK. Service d

The windshield has a curve to it that skews your perspective of the road. The car was a rental, and after just an hour of driving, my eyes hurt, and I got a headache. This seems like a poor design issue, and out concerned me for those who may actually own the vehicle. *tr

Passenger dim headlight keeps going out causing a unsafe issue. The plug gets hot and is damaged.A service bulletin was put out on this issue in 2014 so gm has known that this was a problem for a long time. I read several complaints on this issue and can't understand why a recall has not been issued unless gm thinks that it is safe to drive with one headlight. I know from experience that our state police department doesn't think that it is since I just got a warning because my headlight was out again.
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
I have tried pulling on each front seat belt very quickly to trigger the motion sensitive retractor to see if the seat belt retractors would lock up. They no longer do. When the car was newer, I could pull on the retractors very quickly and the seat belt retractors would lock up as if an occupant moved forward quickly after a collision. *tr
