We had something plugged into the ac outlet in the third row. Car was running but parked in a lot. Child pulled cord and the whole cover of the unit was pulled off. Exposed protected wires but also a screw that was "live". Child received full body electric shock touching the screw. Cover was easily replaced, but children sit in the third row.

The speedometer and other instruments on the dash board are very easy to see at night. However, in daylight it is very difficult to see the speedometer and the other instruments, particularly if wearing polaroid sunglasses. The numbers on the speedometer are grey on grey. That and the LED lighting makes it very difficult to see how fast the vehicle is going. It is a safety problem because motorists have to spend a significant amount of extra time looking at the speedometer in order to see how fast the vehicle is going. While the motorists are looking at the speedometer, they can't see the road and they can't see potential traffic conflicts. Earlier models of Honda odyssey did not have this problem. Honda knows how to make the dashboard instruments clearly visible in daylight. N

My 2012 Honda odyssey had a problem with the 2nd (back) row lever or latch - I couldn't get it to properly latch. It caused the seat to be loose and it would go backwards sometimes when I stopped. On october 6, 2016, I paid $345.00 to Honda of jefferson city to get this problem fixed. I want Honda to refund my $345.00.

Drivers side heated seated no longer works. It is likely a continuity issue with heating element in seat back wire breaking. Online forums suggest a widespread issue yet Honda fails to recall. Dealers want $500-700 to repair.

2nd row seat flipped forward during moderately hard braking, injuring my child with a busted lip and scratches. She was 6 yrs old and secured in a 5 pt harness child safety seat that was secured into this 2nd row seat. The seat flipped forward with her in it causing her to strike the back of the front passenger seat. The seat can be manual unlatched for removal and to slide it sideways, which we had done. Apparently it never latched back properly, but it appeared to be fully latched. We were traveling between 35 and 40mph when we had to stop unexpectedly when the seat flipped forward. It was in amarillo tx on a city street when a short green light quickly cycled to yellow, then red. This event happened june 27, 2015. We now "check" and make sure both kid's seats are latched (the b

At around 5:20pm on 11/15/13, I was on santomas expwy @ monroe and the traffic light had just turned green. Vehicles had started moving including mine. Suddenly one of the cars ahead of me stopped suddenly (not sure why). The card in front of me was successful in stopping. But, my car (Honda odyssey touring 2012) did not stop. I applied brakes, but the brakes were not successful in making the car stop. I didn't have enough time to apply other brakes. I tried to turn the vehicle to get a width for stopping, but the brakes still did not work and my car hit the back of the car in front which then created a chain reaction to two more cars ahead. There was no passenger in any of the cars affected and just the driver. *tr

The vehicle has been diagnosed as missing on 5 of 6 cylinders. Driving performance is greatly impaired. The vehicle misses while stationary idling and while operating in motion. The exhaust blows soot on the passenger rear end and side of the van. Fuel economy has dropped to about 18 on the hwy. Honda declines to make the repair until it displays DTC code. Dealerships advise that it is compensating for the misses currently. This van is included in the class action lawsuit for 3.5 engines made by Honda. Even with it being a known issue and their own mechanics diagnosing the missing they have set requirements that prolong repairs. *tr

Brand new vehicle, new model year, could be one of first. Headlights are as bright as the sun. Any bump or incline puts headlights into oncoming driver eyes. Majority flash me that my high beams are on. They are not. Honda says all perfect. I cannot look into light - it is sun-like. My headlights come up into oncoming eyes constantly - Honda says aimed perfectly. I assert that this is simply highly dangerous; Honda will do nothing for me. All is perfect, they say. Even if I don't cause someone else's accident, the quantity of people flashing me appears to be evidence of spreading anger, because I can do nothing. My sun-like lights 'flash' them again and again. Pity the poor driver in front of me, in my lane. My bulbs are halogen, not the 'high intensity discharge' type. *tr

I was in my driveway, stopped, getting ready to pull in to the garage. I had stopped with my foot on the brake pedal, and then I pressed the button to open the garage door and waited for the garage door to go up. While the garage door was starting to go up and the brake pedal was still pressed, the car suddenly, unintentionally, unexpectedly accelerated by itself into the garage door causing the windshield to break on the garage door and the garage door to break off of its tracks. It is unknown the component or system that caused the sudden unexpected acceleration. It could have been the engine, fuel/propulsion system, or speed control. But something caused a sudden unexpected acceleration while the brake pedal was applied.
