I noticed about 6 years ago my dash starting to crack on my 2013 avalanche it has now cracked completely across and come towards the steering wheel which to me is a safety hazard I did notice that there had been a class action lawsuit but it was denied but I still think it is a safety hazard when I'm driving I hit a bump it cracks more eventually it's going to crack and fall into my lap
Cracking of the dash around the passenger airbag and above the instrument cluster. Worried in the case of an accident, dash will shatter and send small or large pieces throughout the cabin which may also tear airbags making them useless.
Several cracks have appeared in the dash board causing the dash to rattle.
Poor dash design that cracked when the vehicle hit 45,000 miles. It poses a safety concern if the airbag deploys because the crack is in the corner surrounding the air bag. Neither gm or the extended warranty company will cover the cost of repairs. Neither seems concerned about the safety, but why should they because it's not their family assuming any risk.
I got into my 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche and found that the dash board had cracked. The crack is approx. 6"s long and runs from the windshield to the top of the rise above speedometer. It just happened and I don't know what to do about it. Can you help?
Dash has large crack over gauge panel. After researching found that several thousands of gm vehicles have had this issue with no recourse from gm. Costing owners over 2,000.00 to repair.
The dashboard cover has cracks in the plastic.
Cracked dashboard on top of airbag. Safety issue if airbag deploys.
Two small cracks started in my dash near the defrost hole, and now its spread all the way up onto the top of my steering/dash board instrument panel. It was not caused by hitting anything and just keeps getting bigger and rattling/shaking when I drive

I received a notice in the mail about a possible recall of the takata airbags.
Rubbing sound when turning the steering wheel, fixed when car was under warranty, was told it was the air bag. Rubbing sound has returned. Also there are several cracks in the dashboard, which could be hazardous if the airbags were to deploy during a front end collision.
Instrument panel (dashboard) cracked at airbag. Upon deployment shrapnel from dash panel could enter passenger compartment causing injury.
The dash is cracked at multiple places including up to the airbag. I was told by the people who repairs windshield that this is a know problem for avalanche, silverado suburban. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and should be a recall they are quoting me a $1497 repair fee to replace the dash at the dealer. I contacted Chevrolet for assistance. They offered a $130 good will....

My Chevy avalanche has a generation for vortex 5300 engine we are using at least a quarter volt in between oil changes also the oil monitoring system is allowing me to drive and to operate the vehicle without adequate oil because the oil gauge is not reading when the oil is ready to be changed. This has been happening since the day we purchased it new in 2013 we were told by the dealership that this is typical of this engine I'm now finding out that it is not and that it is involved in a class action lawsuit and I need to be documented in that lawsuit.

The wipers started going slow then stopped blocking view. Checking online everyone seems to believe the wiper systems transmission points are failing. This is very dangerous when it's raining and you lose your wipers.
