Car battery dying. Said synch line is in, but it's not. Door ajar lights for both driver and passenger side are always on. When come to a stop, beeps and says engine on, shift to park. Can't lock doors. Have to manually lock doors, otherwise the alarm always goes off. So cannot lock the hatch. This is a safety and theft problem. Interior lights stay on for hours at a time. Cannot see when backing out of places at night because the interior light is on. This is going to cause an accident.

3 out of the 4 doors on the flex will not lock, I called Ford again today and was told we are not a part of the 2.4 million cars recalled. My children cannot lock the doors while we are traveling and it is very concerning to us, Ford suggested I pay for new locks and if we are recalled they will reimburse me.

While driving, the radio turns off and the climate control system malfunctions causing the heater to engage to high with no way to turn the system off. All controls are disabled and there is no way to turn the system off. Unplugged the battery for 30 minutes as suggested, removed fuses to the radio and climate control module which temporarily fixes the issue, but issue happens randomly and creates excessive heat in the cabin. This is the 5th time this has happened. It is the 3rd time while on long trips (3hrs or longer). Others online have mentioned the same. We had to ride with the windows and moonroof open to let the heat escape. First time occurred in 2019 in early December. Navigation still worked, but all other systems would not function.

The issues arises when the door latch and integrated sensor fail to recognize the door being closed properly. A display on the dash will inform the driver of the which door is "ajar". The vehicle will not chime and interior lights will turn off if the vehicle is put in drive and driven. The safety concern is that the vehicle will now not allow the doors to locked while parked or in motion. An invited person could enter the vehicle at a light or an the event of a serious collision the door may come ajar. A search of the internet will reveal this is a common issue and Ford has even redesigned the part because it is aware of this flaw.

On the evening of 12/18/15 (10:00pm), after starting up the car, none of the controls located on the steering wheel and steering wheel column would operate. I had no turn signals and no wipers and no cruise control. A minor inconvenience was that I could not operate any systems nor the radio from the steering wheel. After turning off the vehicle at home the car acted as though the key was still in the ignition even though it had been removed and the headlights would not turn off. I had to disconnect the battery to kill the headlights. When I reconnected the battery the following morning all systems were working again.

2013 Ford flex se purchased in december 2012 with 60,000 miles is experiencing front and rear passenger door latching problems. The front passenger door 'door ajar' light is triggered after the door has been closed. When this problem began, opening and closing the door would be enough to engage the sensor but over the past month it has not been effective. This is a problem for a few reasons: first, it does not automatically lock the doors when the car is in motion which is a potential safety hazard under normal driving conditions or if the vehicle was to be in an accident. The door could possibly fly open during a collision leaving the passengers vulnerable to being thrown from the vehicle or objects coming into the vehicle. Second, the cabin light remains on while driving which creates a

My 2013 Ford Flex had the same issues as many that have been recalled. Ford states that the vehicle is not covered under the recall. My electronic power steering assist is no longer working and the service traction control is on. This has been reported from many other Ford Flex owners but it seems like ford is trying to skimp on by with this by saying it’s not covered. All Ford Flex’s 2013 year model should be recalled to replace / inspect the power steering rack assembly

This is the 3rd time this has happened in the past month. After driving the car to a location, turning the car off then returning to the car to leave, the engine will turn over, but will not fire. The indicators show the car running, I.e. Dash lights on even after getting out of the car. The smell of gasoline is present.

While driving, the power steering warning light illuminated and steering assist was lost. The steering became extremely hard, especially at low speeds. The vehicle makes grinding/whining noises when turning, and the car vibrates while in Drive. This creates a serious safety concern, especially during turns and parking maneuvers. Issue appears to be electric power steering (EPAS) failure.

While driving I lost all power steering and almost lost control, thankfully it didn't happen while my wife was driving with the kids. I was able to pull off the road and shut the vehicle off. I restarted and the power steering was restored. This occured several times over the next few days until the power steering just stopped working all together. I checked for recalls and found that there was a recall that included my make, model and year for the loss of power steering assist (recall #15s18) I made an appointment with the sarasota Ford dealership and was told upon check in that my vehicle was not covered under this recall. The recall states that it covers model year 2013 Ford flex with any engine. With a known, extreemly dangerous issue, I cant understand how my vehicle (expieriencing th
