The transmission has been repaired time and time with no fix. The recall fix was a failure as well. Took the transmission in for repair they stated that was normal for that transmission. Sometimes it jets off then other times it will not go. Ford should have replaced my car or that transmission awhile ago. The car is currently getting worse.

I had already begun noticing the shuddering and lurches when I was notified of the recall. I immediately brought it to my local dealership in may 2015. During this first visit the service department replaced the clutches, clutch assembly, seal, and fluids as allowed by the recall. I brought the vehicle back to service in october 2015 at which time I was told this problem would never be fixed, but the car was 'repaired per recall 15b22b'. On the third visit, in december 2015, I was told by the service man that 'Ford created a bad transmission, but all they could do was re-flash the control module and the car would need to re-learn my driving habits'. According to the service invoice the vehicle was rechecked for the transmission shudder, passed test, and was reprogrammed. During the fourth

Since the focus was first drove there has been a shutter,a noise coming from what we thin is the transmission. We bought this car in ny and took it to the dealership twice and told us that the car needed to be drive and should stop this at a 1000 mi. Moved to ar took it to the dealership they said it was under recall? That the car needed to be reprogrammed concerning drivetrain. Took it back 2 other times was told the car hadn't been driven enough for the program to take effect. Now the automobile has progressively gotten worse .it now shutter, decreases in power, and consider dangerous to drive. Took car in again to dealership.also contacted Ford corporate customer service and informed of problem. Customer rep gave me a number for my case and stated my issues will be assessed. *tr

(1) google Ford transmission settlement. Incredibly dangerous problem with design. That's the biggest problem and although I took it in to the dealer and they "fixed" it I have no faith. (2) I had to have it towed to a dealer this morning for electronic power assist failure. Lost steering while driving. Googled that and found out about the massive problems with this issue. Contacted Ford and they said VIN doesn't show it as a recall. I'm absolutely disgusted with the level of deceit by Ford.

At approximately 2:30 am this morning 12/31/16, our Ford focus burst into flames while stationary in a parking lot. Thank god we and our 11 month old were not in the car at the time. We have had this car into the shop at least twice for transmission problems then our entire multi information screen including radio quit working, they refused to fix because we were out of warranty. We have barely had this car for one year and have had nothing but problems. Now we have no car because it is totaled from the fire. The police based on initial investigation said it was an electrical fire. I have seen another 2013 Ford focus catch fire in australia and other places. I would like this to be investigated so this does not happen to other people.
Lost power after stopping at a stop sign. Could not start the car again after shutting it off. After several attempts and some waiting, it restarted, got around the corner and died again. After having it towed to Ford and being told nothing was wrong with it, drove 2 hours away and on the return trip the next day, lost power on an on ramp. Again, could not start the car after shutting it off. Eventually got started and barely made my way to the next (mostly unused) exit.
Well have had nothing but problems with this car, but here is the latest. I was driving and the car started making noises and then it sputted like going to die out, and get really rough driving. I parked the car got to work, and when leaving it would not start. Battery is new, so not that. After about 4 tries it started up, this was wed. Then friday, and on way home the engine light came on, as well as had issue starting. I just received this letter today, how odd and confirmed that there is a problem and not my imagination. I have grandchildren that I pick up from school and day care, and will not subject them to this unsafe car. Also, last week the gas gauge just went to 50 and it binged to let me know, I drove to the gas station nearby, and I rolled in.. Now see that gauge is also or co
