Steering stopped working during drive home. It is now at my house. Safety was impacted because it became problematic during the drive. I had an independent mechanic evaluate the car today, he stated that this make and model of a vehicle is known to have this problem, and diagnosed it with a need to replace the steering rack. A warning appeared during the drive right before we got home, now car won't turn on for safety reasons.

While driving the car in a commercial are the wheel stopped steering. I could not move the wheel left or right and got stuck in an intersection. A police officer came and sat with me while we waited for a tow truck. The car was towed to the Ford dealership and was looked at when they opened after the weekend. They put in a request to Ford to allow the piece to be replaced under current recalls related to the steering.apparently the rack and pinion can just break after two years of driving. Since the bumper to bumper coverage was up they said it would have to be paid for by the customer. A car should not be allowed to fall apart after 59,000 miles if it is kept in very good condition. If I had been injured or someone else has been, this would be a very different conversation. The pieces th

I parked my 2013 Ford fusion with 52,000 miles on it for 3 days in my driveway and when I started it a message saying power steering assist fault came on and there isn't any power steering. I contacted Ford and they said they will look at it but I had to pay for the tech's time, I then looked on the web and it said there was a recall on this for over 445k Ford cars, but my VIN was not part of it because of where the car was made. So I am confused, 1 part of the car is recalled if it was put in one plant, but the same part put in another plant isn't. They were all made in one plant, so why does it matter where it was installed. The part is defected, if I was driving down the road and this happened, and had an accident, would it be my fault because the car was made in a safe factory where th

This is a case of multiple incidents, first incident with significant issue was on 12/11/2014. As I was pulling out of my driveway and reversing across two lanes of traffic, my car turned off and said "press brake to start" (I have the push-start-ignition). The car turned off as I was revering across the street, I had to put the car in park in order to restart the car. I restarted the car and drove it to the dealership, which they have never heard of this issue and said they could not get me in for an appointment until 12/15. On 12/14/2014, as I was driving down the road at ~25mph, my car started to act like it was going to quit, before I could pull off to the side of the road, the car turned off and said "press brake to start" I was able to get the car to the side of the road, as I did I

Power Steering warning light came on while I was driving. I was still able to steer the car. After I shut the car off and turned it back on I could barely steer the car. The warning light came on again. I left the car at a nearby garage, but they are closed until Jan 2, because of the holiday. I could have gotten into an accident. Other vehicles were flashing their lights and honking as I had to drive very slowly with my hazards on to get to the repair station. This is truly a safety issue with my 2013 Ford Fusion.

I was driving with my kids and out of nowhere, I received a "power steering assist fault" message display across the deck and I couldn't steer. It took immense effort to turn; and fortunately for us, it occurred really close to our house but on a major city street on the way home. I read online that there are tons of incidents with their Ford vehicle. I read an article online that Ford recalled over 450k vehicles for this issue but when I looked up my VIN on safercar.gov and the Ford website; there isn't a recall issued for it. There seem to be drivers out there who were both more or less fortunate than I was. I wanted to file a formal complaint to see if I can get this issue investigated.

Transmission started slipping really bad even down shifting so hard felt like u hit something luckily I had an extended warranty so it should be covered. 12/28/2021 Fire ODI #11445359.0

My 2013 Ford Fusion SE had the high pressure fuel pump start leaking and dripped fuel on the exhaust and started the car on fire while driving down the road. This caused about $7,000.00 in damage but could have easily gotten out of control and caused injury or death to occupant(s). I reached out to Ford Motor Company and did a chat log asking for assistance and to make them aware. Ford Motor Company Case number CAS-34734107-H6J0Z5. What is dangerous about this design is that Ford chose to design and install a secondary high pressure fuel pump directly above the exhaust manifold and the engineers surely would have known the durability and longevity along with possible outcomes due to normal use over time. For the same reason you are not to refuel a hot engine, a fuel pump should not be p
